Chapter 125 The Forge of the Deep

Chapter 125 The Forge of the Deep
The Absolute Pressure

Valda screamed at Kade who stood outside the submarine because she knew he would die under the intense pressure which existed beyond the submarine. "The pressure at the bottom of the trench is over a thousand times the atmosphere at sea level! The strength of that force will turn your body into liquid form.

Kade continued his path toward the steel airlock which stood at the lowest point of the Nautilus.

Kade spoke to Valda with complete composure when he said his control over the earth because he was the Architect of the world. The white-gold light which emanated from the Star-Metal plate on his chest was so bright that it caused pain to look directly at him. "The earth does not crush me. It answers to me."

He entered the small airlock space before he turned to look at me through the reinforced window of the inner hatch.

The ocean-blue eyes of the man remained completely tranquil. He exited without saying goodbye to me. He simply nodded at me with strength.

My hand touched the glass surface while my fingers felt the intense spark of silver starlight which already began to strike my fingertips. "I've got your back. Go.

The inner hatch closed with a heavy sound which released pressurized air during the process of sealing.

Kade moved to the outer airlock door when he manually pulled the lever.

The chamber should have instantly filled with millions of gallons of freezing black water which would have instantly killed him on contact. The moment Kade opened the heavy iron door into the abyss he activated his tectonic magic powers.

His Star-Metal core produced a localized sphere which created a gravitational attraction. The object functioned as an invisible wall which no one could cross. The gravity well created by the Pacific Ocean's pressure forcefully repelled the entire ocean body which resulted in a complete dry zone which extended thirty feet around his body.

Kade exited the Nautilus to land directly on the hot bedrock that lay open in the Mariana Trench.

The Star-Lasers

Finn yelled from the helm about the drones while he tried to balance the submarine by adjusting its ballast to maintain stability in the turbulent waters. "Luna, they are swarming the drill path!

The main forward viewport became my target when I turned away from the airlock.

I spotted multiple dark-matter Aethelgard drones which moved at high speed through the superheated water toward Kade who stood with his back unprotected. Their slipspace fields allowed them to cut through the crushing depths with terrifying speed, aiming to siphon the World Engine right out of his chest.

I showed my defiance with my words which I spoke in a low growl.

I pressed my hands against the Star-Metal glass surface while I released everything which I had inside me to the unending cosmic vacuum.

The flowing silver lightning filled my veins and transformed my arms into shining pathways which emitted bright starlight. I pushed the astral magic into the submarine through its metal hull.

Saltwater became incapable of conducting the power because it contained no terrestrial electricity. The ocean remained calm while its raw photons transformed into high-intensity blinding silver lasers.

The starlight beams moved through the dark water, creating silent, straight lines which followed geometric shapes. The lead Aethelgard drones received the attacks which broke their dark-matter shielding to destroy their main power cores. The drones exploded which caused water shockwaves that disturbed the Nautilus.

I turned into a defense turret which projected light from the universe. I shot astral lightning at every drone which approached Kade's perimeter because I wanted to turn the freezing abyss into a graveyard filled with shattered alien machines.

Valda cheered for Elara to keep shooting while she used her body to hold herself up against the navigation console. "He's making his move!

The Hands of a God

My eyes moved to the ground while my silver beams continued to shine.

Kade moved toward the massive dark-matter energy pillar which stood at a distance of miles from him. The Aethelgard siphon functioned to destructively remove bedrock material which left behind the glowing superheated magma of the earth's outer mantle.

He stopped at the very edge of the fault line.

To his left stood the Pacific Plate which pushed forward with its powerful grinding force. To his right, the Mariana Plate.

Kade didn't use any tool in his summons. He didn't use a spell.

He fell to the ground at the point where the world split open. He used his right arm which was protected by the Star-Metal gauntlet to reach deep into Pacific Plate bedrock. He entered World Engine absolute gravity protection to touch Mariana Plate boiling rock with his human left hand.

His neck contained silver-colored liquid veins which moved at such a fast pace that they appeared as a solid sheet of white-gold fire.

The entire submarine shook when Kade released a loud sound which traveled through the water.

He pulled his arms together.

The ground let out a loud scream.

Kade used his Alpha biological strength to pull both continents closer together. The tectonic plates produced a low-frequency sound which shook my teeth and created a huge violent wave in the ocean.

The bedrock edges forcefully crashed together to block the magma opening of the fault line.

Kade continued his actions without stopping.

The pure Star-Metal plate on his chest allowed him to draw pure Source magic to power his abilities. He used his body to forge metal as he created a seamless bond between two continental plates which joined together with a massive iron cap.

The Upward Shockwave

Finn shouted that "The drill is making impact!" while he pointed at the gray pillar which was falling down toward Kade.

I shouted for everyone to stay back while I shot down the last remaining drones from the water.

The dark-matter drill, designed to effortlessly chew through ordinary stone and consume ambient magic, violently slammed into the newly forged Star-Metal cap.

The collision defied physics.

The dark-matter couldn't consume the Star-Metal. The Firstborn gods created their pure iron which the Architect had forged to become too heavy for dark-matter to consume.

The drill blades failed to penetrate the cap. The drill failed to produce any damage on the cap surface.

The dark-matter drill destroyed itself on Kade's anvil through its operation which produced a major blinding flash of grey and white light.

The siphon continued to extract energy from the environment. The vacuum sealing process stopped all energy movement through the pipe after the drill head destruction.

A catastrophic energy feedback loop was born.

Valda roared the command to prepare for the upcoming shockwave impact.

The shattered drill head released a massive energy pulse which transformed into a grey and gold energy ring. The feedback loop ascended through the siphon center like a supernova which moved at impossible speeds toward the surface.

The shockwave struck the Nautilus which sent us crashing to the floor while the submarine spun violently through the displaced water.

I scrambled up to press my face against the viewport.

Kade remained on the ocean floor while his hands rested on the world seam which had become a glowing fusion point. He looked up at the giant beam of destructive feedback which launched toward the sky.

We saved the core, I thought my heart hammering with a mixture of absolute relief and sheer adrenaline.

But the feedback loop wasn't just a firework. It was a bullet. And it was aimed directly at the colossal, impenetrable dreadnought hovering in the dimensional fracture above Aurora.
