Chapter 25 Twenty Five
Aria's POV
By the time it was morning, my body was aching all over. I had barely slept for six videos when my bedside alarm woke me up.
I stretched out, a yawn slipped out though my lips. I rubbed my blurry eyes with the back of my palm. Exhausted with the urge to sleep gnawing at my eyelids.
But I had no choice. Today was an important day. I forced myself to sit up on the bed, ignoring the pain shooting through my shoulders. My legs felt heavy like I had walked for six hours straight instead of sleeping.
I quickly took a shower, brushed my hair. Got into a comfy grey sweatpants hoodie and marching grey sweatpants trousers.
I headed to the Discuss room where I was going to have a meeting with Throne and Aria. We had to discuss our pack's way forward. We had to decide how to deal with Silvester. He was becoming a pain in my ass in such a way that killing him was the only option and he didn't want to do that. Not because I didn't feel angered by his invasion but because killing him would bring more enemies on my tail, especially from smaller werewolf packs.
I walked into the Discuss room. My presence commanded attention.
Throne and Aria were already seated when I walked in. Their facial expression was a messed up one. Their faces looked tired like they didn't sleep at all. I could relate with them. They looked ready.
My gaze fell on Darius. He looked different from the others because he of course didn't engage on the battlefield. He was a tech pro and was just perfect for himself.
A big map was already spread out on the table, with red marks showing where Silvester had attacked. Darius sat above it. He was more of a map reader. He had a small pen in his hands to point out the different locations on the map.
I pulled out a chair and sat down, my back straight. “ Good Morning, y'all.” I greeted them, flashing an appreciative and compulsive smile at them.
Throne gave a nod while Aria offered a weak smile. Darius smiled broadly.
“I had a good night's rest.”
“So what do we have here? I questioned, my arms crossed , my shoulders squared.
“We need a plan,” Darius began, his voice strong. “Silvester is pushing too far and we must push back smartly. No mistakes. We need to gather intels. We need to get ourselves together.” Darius added, his eyes sweeping between us all.
Throne agreed, his jaw tightening. Aria twitched her lips. Her gaze fixed. Her attention was unwavering.
“We strike smart, not reckless, we take them unawares. We hit them hard.” Darius continued.
I could feel my heart burn with anger, these Scoundrels needed to be taught a lesson.
I nodded slowly, pondering on every word Darius had said. He was right. We had to act fast and smartly.
“Yes, we need to be fast and smart,” I acknowledged, my voice calm but laced with determination.
“First, we must find out where Silvester is hiding, then we will send out our scouts to track his movements. We’ll need to gather intels on his supplies. We'll attack and weaken him. His supplies. Food. Weapons. Drugs. All of it.” Throne listed.
He leaned forward, his fingers tapping the table.“We’ll lead the patrol team,” he added.
Aria scribbled down something on her note quickly
Darius pointed at a small red circle on the map. It was the southern part of Silvester's territory. It was close toma fountain and a mountain.
“This area is weak due to its geographical location. We can attack from here. If we can successfully break through, Silvester will become our puppet."
I smirked, feeling my energy return on. This was what I needed. Strategy. Plan. Vision.
“Good. I love this. We will end this on our terms, not his. We will make him suffer by meddling with us.” Everyone nodded, ready for action.
“You are right, Boss.” Aria chipped.
“I received an email from my spy today. The Kordova’s have made a formal announcement earlier today. They broadcasted it on the Nightshade's viral broadcasting station.”
I leaned in, my interest spiked.
“What was the announcement about? Did they say anything to spike my interest?” I inquired, brows arched.
Aria’s lips pressed into a thin line while she anticipated Darius further explanation.
“The Kordovas announced this morning that their main warehouse was looted a few nights ago. They express sadness and grief because they lost food, weapons, and cash.”
My grin widened.
“Do they know who hit them?” I questioned.
Darius shook his head. “No. But my spy said the Kordova's have a hunch that the Penta pack did it. It's only a rumor but I don't know what the outcome would be later on.”
A satisfied chuckle left my lips. “Good. Let them suffer. We’re not stopping until they lose virtually everything.”
Everyone agreed silently.
“He'll eventually confront the Alpha of the Penta pack and I don't think that will end well.” Aria chimed, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Exactly. But that's what we need. They mustn't find out we did it. Let's keep quiet on this matter. They should blame the Penta pack or any other pack out there. I don't care.” I hissed, a smirk tugged on my lips.
Darius nodded quickly, understanding my point.
“We’ll keep our tracks clean. There will be no traces at all. No one would know we were there.” he confirmed.
Throne leaned back in his seat, a small grin pulling on his lips. “This is how we win. We win without dragging lots of attention, ” he said.
I tapped the table lightly, the conversation becoming increasingly interesting.
“Exactly.” I confirmed firmly.
Aria scribbled again in her notebook. “I’ll update our spy to keep feeding us details,” she added.
I stood up slowly, my eyes darting around. My energy was revived. “This meeting's over. Let’s get to work,” I ordered confidently.
