LOGAN.
I checked for the female that had a striking resemblance with Daisy. But she already vanished. Probably went through the door. I thought of going after her, but the endless shrieking behind me had me glued to a spot.
It was hard to ignore it. Her shrieks brought so many gazes my way, and they were all judging me with their eyes. I felt pressured. Had to diffuse the situation by playing the gentleman and proving I hadn't intentionally gotten her dress ruined.
With a sigh, I walked up to her. Her silver dress was tainted by the yellowish shade of the wine that had spilled on her. The waitress was hovering around her in fright, trying to appease her. But the girl wouldn't have it. She was hellbent on pulling down the roof with her shrieks.
I fixed my apologetic smile and bent over to wipe at her stain with a handkerchief. To my dismay, she slapped my hand off her, taking a quick step backward.
“Don't fucking touch me,“ She fumed. Her red hair cascaded down her face, so I couldn't get a good view of it. Her long, artificial nails were sticking out like claws. She was human. The second one I'm encountering today.
“I'm sorry, miss. I didn't mean to ruin your dress. I was just…” My monologue faded into thin air when she parted her hair and I got to see her face. No fucking way.
“You?!” We both blurted out simultaneously. Her eyes shone with recognition and a bit of anxiety. Mine, on the other hand, held a great dose of animosity.
Back when I met her an hour ago, her hair was blonde, and now, it's red. Guess they were all wigs and she was concealing her real hair under them. Not my fucking business tho.
I always knew we would meet again, I just never thought it was this soon. And at the worst timing.
I let out an unamused chuckle, putting a reasonable distance between us. With my hands in my pocket, I did a real scrutiny of her. She'd already tagged me as a perv, so she wouldn't mind me acting like one.
Her drenched dress was transparent now, revealing her pert boobs and rosy nipples. Lustful whistling came from all sides of the club. The guys were aroused by her appearance. They had all the reasons to be. She had an almost perfect body. Like a model.
She was the awkward center of attention right now, and she was to be reeling with shame. Made me love every bit of this moment. She was at my mercy, and I could think of a million ways to get back at her for hitting me.
She shifted slightly, shielding her transparent body from my stare. Her arms clung around her chest, and if looks could kill, I'd be six feet down right now.
”What is this?” I asked, having had enough fun. It's about time I get to find out what her deal was. Then after that, I'll give her a little dose of her own medicine.
”You ruined my dress, jerk. That's what it is!” She said, pointing angry fingers at me.
”Nah. Not that,” I waved my hand, dismissing her onslaught, “Are you stalking me?“
”What?”
“ARE.YOU.STALKING.ME?” I spelled it all out for her, ignoring how much my words seem to annoy her. I was being a jerk right now, and I didn't feel a bit guilty about that. She asked for it the second she touched my face. She's fucking lucky this was human territory, if she'd done this in our pack, I'd have her dismembered.
”Whatever gave you such stupid thought?!” She yelled in rage. Good thing I wasn't standing real close to her. She would have numbed my jaw with one of her murderous slaps. And I might just be forced to bite her.
”You bumped into me in the elevator. What the fuck were you doing there?“ She tried talking but I silenced her with my raised hand, ”Shush, Don't you dare say you live on any floors of the building because you don't. I'd know if you did,”
”The nerve of you!” She fumed, her hands balling into a fist. But she wouldn't take down her arms from covering her drenched area.
”I'm not done,“ I snapped in a hard tone. And as much as her eyes were shimmering with rage, she didn't dare interrupt me anymore.
“And a few seconds earlier, I bumped into a waitress, not you. Now out of a blue, you show up with a drenched dress, and demand that I took the fall for it,”
“The fucking wine you spilled drenched my dress,”
”How's that possible if you weren't standing anywhere close to the waitress or me? Admit it, miss, you're just one of them. Those stalkers who'd drop any level for a teeny bit of attention and caress, even if it means getting themselves drenched with their own hands,”
I had all the right to be downright mean to her. It wasn't clear enough to me earlier, but right now, I can't help but see through her facade of coincidence and accidents. First, she lost her balance at the elevator and made me catch her from falling. And while my stare was filled with shock over the scent she carried, her stare was dreamy and spiked with lust.
She was super comfortable in my arms, and when she thought she'd been too obvious, she decided to play the victim by hitting my face. A coy stalker!
I'm not trying to be smug, but I've dealt with a lot of stalkers in my four years here in California. These female stalkers get really creepy and would do the unthinkable for a second in your arms. Some of them staked out in my elevator for weeks, and the guys and I couldn't leave the house. We had to involve the cops, 'cause these females were humans so they should be dealt with by their kind.
But the big difference is, every other stalker I've had to deal with was blunt and raw. This was my first time dealing with a coy stalker.
“Excuse you?!” She was putting up an indignant front. But I could see through her lies. Her heart was racing and her fingers quivered. Her tongue moistened her lips in a way that gave it attention.
It wasn't because of whatever anger she seemed to be trying to harness. Those were signs that she was feeling me. Just like I thought.
“You feel embarrassed. I get it, but you gotta back off. I hate stalkers, so please, stay the fuck away from me. I bet a lot of inebriated buffalos here would love to have a quick one with you. Why don't you take a shot at them? But don't show up in front of me again,“
”How dare you, asshole?!” She gave a deafening outburst, and in a flash, her hand was in the air and she was aiming for my face again.
I caught her hand in the air and pulled her closer. She fought in my grip but gasped as I twisted her hand to the back. It's been a while since I got this physical with a female, but her annoying ass asked for it.
”You hit me once, I'm never gonna let you do that you me again. I don't care if you're on a mission to ruin my face or get me to fuck your pussy. But neither of your plans is gonna work, so yeah, back off,” I gave her hand one painful twist before letting go of her.
Her grunts were loud and she was almost crying tears. ”You're a cold-blooded bastard with your head up in your ass. You spilled the drink on me. The least you could do is be sorry…“
”Why should I be sorry for what I'm not sure I did?“ I fired back at her. Why was she still insisting that I got her drenched? It'll be easier if she could just admit that she set this whole thing up just to get me to notice her.
“What are you even saying?!” She raked her long nails through her hair. Took a sharp breath and let out a dry chuckle, ”I got the perfect way to resolve this,“
She pranced to the counter, grabbed a glass, and pretended to be drinking the content. In the next second, she emptied it on my face. My eyes went shut instantly.
I heard her slam the glass on the counter, ”There, I hope that washes off your stupidity!“
When I wiped the drink off my face and opened my eyes, she was gone. The guys flooded around me.
”Logan, are you alright?” Charles assumed his nanny role, drying up the long trial the drink had taken forn to my shirt.
”Who the hell was that bitch?” Alejandro slurred. He was wasted, but his werewolf side kept him alert to what was happening.
”I don't know.” I admitted. Her bitchy attitude was more than just a regular stalker. Who exactly was she?
I hated the fact that she left me intrigued. But what I do know is that I'm gonna go a few days thinking about her and what the heck her deal was.
