Chapter 103: Betrayal Revealed
Chapter 105: Betrayal Revealed
Luna Stone's phone buzzed with an urgent alert as she walked into her office at Sterling Dynamics. The message from Sarah made her blood run cold: "Security breach detected. BlackCross accessed restricted files. Internal source confirmed."
"Pull up everything," Luna ordered, rushing to her desk. Multiple screens flickered to life, showing security logs and access records. "How deep did they get?"
Sarah's voice was tight with concern. "They accessed Pack location data, Ms. Stone. And your parents' research files."
The office door opened as Dante Romano entered, his expression grim. "You need to see this." He placed a tablet on her desk, showing surveillance footage from their secure archives.
Luna's breath caught as she watched Alessandra Martinez, her trusted board member, downloading classified files in the middle of the night. "When was this?"
"Last night, just after midnight," Dante said. "She used executive override codes. Codes only board members have."
"Get me everything on her," Luna demanded, fingers flying across her keyboard. "Every meeting, every call, every transaction for the past five years."
Sarah's voice cut in. "Ms. Stone, I've found something. Multiple encrypted communications between Alessandra's private server and BlackCross subsidiaries."
"She's been feeding them information all along," Dante growled, his wolf stirring beneath the surface. "The attacks on pack territories - she helped coordinate them."
Luna pulled up board meeting records. "Look at the timing. Every major BlackCross move happened right after Alessandra accessed sensitive data."
"Ms. Stone," Sarah interrupted, "Alessandra just entered the building. She's heading to the executive floor."
"Let her come," Luna said, her voice cold. "Time she learned what happens when you betray both corporate and supernatural trust."
Dante moved to stand beside her desk, his presence radiating protective strength. "The packs will want blood for this."
"They'll get justice," Luna promised. "But we do this smart. Corporate warfare first, then supernatural consequences."
The office door opened as Alessandra walked in, perfectly poised in her designer suit. Her confident smile faltered slightly at seeing Dante there.
"Luna, darling, I wasn't expecting a morning meeting," she said smoothly. "And with our... supernatural consultant, no less."
Luna kept her expression neutral as she stood. "Interesting night, Alessandra? The secure archives can get quite cold at midnight."
The older woman's smile froze. "I'm sure I don't know what you mean."
"Drop the act," Dante growled. "We have you on camera. Every file you stole, every secret you sold to BlackCross."
Alessandra's facade cracked, revealing cold calculation beneath. "You have no idea what you're dealing with, Luna. BlackCross offered me things Sterling Dynamics never could."
"Like what?" Luna demanded. "Money? Power? Or did they promise to keep you safe when they started hunting supernatural bloodlines?"
"They promised control," Alessandra shot back. "Order in a world that's spinning into chaos. Your parents had the same chance - they chose wrong."
Luna's hands clenched on her desk. "My parents chose to protect people, not exploit them. Something you clearly never understood."
"Protect them?" Alessandra laughed. "Look around, Luna. The world's changing. Supernatural beings can't hide anymore. BlackCross offers structure, containment."
"You mean imprisonment," Dante snarled. "Testing facilities and control collars."
Alessandra turned to him with disdain. "Better than letting creatures like you run wild. At least BlackCross understands the need for oversight."
"Sarah," Luna called out, "initiate Protocol Omega. Full corporate lockdown."
Security shutters slammed down over the windows as alarms blared throughout the building. Alessandra's phone sparked and died in her hand.
"What are you doing?" she demanded, backing toward the door.
"Protecting what my parents died for," Luna said, advancing slowly. "Sterling Dynamics isn't just a corporation, Alessandra. It's a shield."
"You're making a mistake," Alessandra warned. "BlackCross has operatives everywhere. The files I sent them-"
"Were fake," Luna cut in with cold satisfaction. "We've known about your betrayal for weeks. Every file you stole was carefully crafted disinformation."
Dante smiled dangerously. "Right now, BlackCross strike teams are walking into traps all across the city. Following the false intelligence you gave them."
Alessandra's composure cracked completely. "You can't do this. I'm on the board. I have rights!"
"Had rights," Luna corrected. "Sarah, show her."
Screens around the office lit up with financial data and corporate documents. Luna's voice was pure CEO as she explained: "Emergency board meeting at dawn. Unanimous vote removing you from all positions within Sterling Dynamics. Your corporate access, accounts, and privileges are already frozen."
"The supernatural councils have also reached their verdict," Dante added. "Betraying pack locations to hunters? That has... consequences."
"You're both insane," Alessandra spat. "The world needs controlling. Your parents understood that, in the end."
Luna moved with supernatural speed, pinning the older woman against the wall. "Don't you dare talk about my parents. They died protecting people from creatures like you."
Security teams burst into the office, surrounding Alessandra with practiced efficiency. Among them, Luna recognized several werewolves from allied packs.
"Take her to containment," she ordered. "Full corporate and supernatural protocols."
As they led Alessandra away, her final words rang with chilling certainty: "This isn't over, Luna. BlackCross won't stop until they have control. Over all of us."
"She's right about one thing," Dante said after the door closed. "This isn't over."
Luna returned to her desk, pulling up tactical displays. "No, but now we know who we're fighting. Sarah, activate all sleeper agents within BlackCross. It's time to return the favor."
"Already done, Ms. Stone. First reports of internal disruption coming in now."
Dante studied the data streams with grim satisfaction. "The packs are moving too. Alessandra's intelligence led BlackCross into perfect ambush positions."
Luna watched multiple screens showing BlackCross operations falling into chaos. "My parents built Sterling Dynamics to protect supernatural communities. Today, we show exactly how well they planned."
"Ms. Stone," Sarah interrupted, "the Council is requesting an emergency meeting. They want to know how deep the betrayal goes."
"Tell them we'll convene in one hour," Luna decided. "After we finish dismantling everything Alessandra built."
Outside her office windows, the city carried on unaware of the shadow war unfolding in its midst. Corporate betrayal had merged with supernatural vengeance, creating a perfect storm of retribution.
"BlackCross thought they could control us," Luna said softly. "Use corporate power to cage supernatural strength. Time to show them how wrong they were."
Dante's hand found hers, offering silent support. Together they watched their counter-strikes unfold, corporate strategy and supernatural justice working in perfect harmony.
The betrayal had cut deep, but Luna Stone wasn't just a CEO anymore. She was her parents' daughter, protector of supernatural communities, and BlackCross was about to learn exactly what that meant.
Thunder rumbled overhead as nature itself seemed to acknowledge the coming storm. In board rooms and back alleys across the city, the battle lines were drawn.
The war for supernatural freedom had entered a new phase, and this time, they was ready.
