Finding a small glass piece of artwork right under the paper and that was drown on the podium, I was able to see it thanks to Zenith's fire, as it was containing the outlining of a silver haired woman with a trident in her hand was even more painful to discover, as she was riding a vicious bright creature that looked to be brighter than the white in a spectrum. But the trident was held high, as she raised her hand to attack her worst wishes in the war while being surrounded by smoke, I could find my fingers automatically tracing the glass artwork that was my grandmother, almost not being able to breathe anymore because this was how my grandmother become a legend in Genzanian history. And right beside the artwork, was the sacred rope that was talked about in the letter, which appeared to be more fragile than I had anticipated, almost breakable if I touch it, letting me know it's way too old for use, causing my heart to ache because of the overwhelming emotions filling me. All the geekos that surrounded me were survivors of the war between my grandmother and the rebellion, the war where my supposed grandfather was murdered and baba was born, explaining how hurt and weak they were for all these decades, making anger boil in my blood before I hissed to myself in venom. Bitter bile pooled in my throat as my feet automatically were glued to one spot on the floor, as the squeaks of the dragons before me was adding onto the pain that I was feeling I was mourning in my heart at the loss of my family, who had such a past that no one could've fathomed to imagine, and there was one thing that I started feeling. I felt like I was being watched. Of course I'm being watched, the people behind me were waiting for me to speak, but it wasn't that kind of feeling. We weren't alone. The rebellion killed her. The fucking…rebellion killed their hero. That shitty rebellion ruined my family. They ruined Zenith. They ruined his parents. They ruined us. "Did you find Iris yet?! I can't see her in here, where the fuck is she?" Calvina groaned impatiently while tapping her foot on the same metal plate repeatedly with no falter, as I used my campus to see which direction to go to with my breath hitching in my nose, before it motioned towards the podium only, not pointing at anywhere else. Then I realised it was tracking this capsule of blood all this time, almost as if all of this was planned by Iris itself. "She's not here." I announced calmly while wiping my tears that were the source to my inward pain that Zenith was starting to feel through the mate bond, as I could feel him feeling paranoid behind me, before hearing a set of growls and snarls behind me from the rebellion. "What do you mean she's not here?! Haven't you been tracking her all this time?" Calvina grumbled. "A bit of Iris' blood is here. She's nowhere to be seen. She's gone, she was never here." I concluded while turning around with a cold expression. "What do you mean?! The genozietor said that she's at the castle! If she's not here, then where is she?! Burn the damn blood and track her again." Calvina snarled profusely. "There's no point in finding her. Even if we destroy the blood, the campus would still lead us back here because a dragon doesn't change locations that quickly." "That's bullshit! Where the fuck is she huh?! Call out to her! Find her right now! I order you to find her right now!" Calvina yelled at me while pointing her gun at me while being ready to shoot at me, while I lost my sanity after feeling chest start to ache because of the grief that had greeted me after so long, and I was done for. All this time my grandmother sacrificed her life for Zenith's father. And my dad tried to protect me from Illusion. Everything got ruined by Illusion and the rebellion. Everything. "I won't do that." I refused. "Why not?! I SAID CALL HER RIGHT FUCKING NOW BEFORE I BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT!" "THEN DO IT! SHOOT ME! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO. It's only me who can get you Iris, and with me gone, you'll never have her, never." I laughed darkly while smirking at her because of knowing exactly what my power had meant in this entire room, making her scream in frustration, but I couldn't care less. I could hear Zenith growl at my words at the background because of how ugly it sounded, but I couldn't care less about that either, as my hands turned into furious fists with a dead expression adorning my face completely, while everyone else was taken aback after seeing the stare I was able to muster. "You're lying." She snarled. "I'm not, fucking kill me Calvina Miller, I dare you. Because trust me, you'll never get to my Iris without me. She will always be mine, and forever will be mine, and I'll never let you have her." I chuckled menacingly after loosing my carefree tone and getting the urge to annihilate a whole population, spitting at her direction with poison in my tone instead, making her veins pop in her forehead. "You leave me no choice then." She shook her head in her promise that was unknown to me, before signalling something to the rebels that was too fast to comprehend with, as they nodded at her and yelled outside the room. "What are you doing?!" I hissed while covering my ears. "NOW." She ordered pathetically after summoning her trident as her weapon, before I heard a loud groan of pain behind her that I was not expecting because of everyone else being pushed away from an unseen force, dropping my heart a thousand miles before seeing wide mouthed Zenith on the ground kneeling with blood dripping from his back, as a man shot him from a distance who was never seen ever since we came here. "H-Hibiras…" Agatha panicked after again pushed by the force that seemed confusing to me, seeing him scream in pain before fire grew in his hands, while Calvina smirked at him like the psycho she was, and immediately I was in pain because of the mate bond. "COME OUT NOW!" She screamed happily while letting out a whistle of entrance, before suddenly, all of us heard a round of dragon roars from outside this whole cave that sounded demonic, before seeing the ceiling of this entire room become uprooted, causing me to fall on the ground while looking up again, and gasp at the scene, and also shield my eyes because of the sudden light illuminating the darkness. What felt like hundreds of the same criminal looking dragon trainers from earth flooded who were bound on following me, and what the skies were filled with their scary looking dragons, blinding the eyes of the injures geekos on the floor because of the light emitting from outside, the while many of them breathed toxic chemicals from their nostrils that seemed lethal. You name it, it's there. Poison ivy, acid, methane, and every poisonous gas was breathed above us, while Zenith was kicked in front or me and everyone else was being kept away from him by this sake force, making me whimper before I tried to reach for him. "Don't come here-AH FUCK!" "NO!" I screamed in horror before he was zapped by lightening by one of the dragons above us, making his whole body jerk in pain while he struggled to breath. "Don't touch me-ARGHH STOP THIS SHIT!" He screamed in utter agony after feeling the sedated medicine in the injection he was given, weakening him by the second because his powers were detoriating, as I had to get away from him electricutted figure, while more tears rolled down my eyes with all my friends protesting against this action. "YOU MOTHER FUCKING BITCH!" Zalius roared as his eyes turned purple with his knuckles cracking, before Rhea turned red in anger after receiving her powers from her own mate on the spot, while both of them floated in the air and aimed their energy at Calvina. "Nah ah ah, I wouldn't do that if I wear you. If killing Laura ain't useful, I'm sure I can make my baby suffer for rejecting me, don't you think? If you lay a hand on me, he dies with hibiras and lighting. It's your choice your majesty, either it's Zenith, or it's her." Calvina laughed after clapping her hands in excitement, while I tried to help in any way with him getting zapped every second, making his clothes tear and muscles pulse dangerously, while his veins struggled to keep themselves calm, and his screams tortured my ears. "STOP THIS!" I pleaded while forgetting to breath and instantly finding my anxiety take over my whole being, as another zap hit his back, making Blaze also scream in pain inside him, breaking my whole soul piece by piece. "Nope, let him feel the pain he made me feel in the dungeons all this time, let him get the taste of his own medicine. He likes torturing people right? Let him suffer." She spat back disgustingly, before another scream left his perfect lips in distaste, making me reach him again to stop this. "DON'T COME NEAR ME-STOOOP!" He demanded with a cry, as tears flooded his brown eyes with his powers dying further and further, making my eyes widen. "MAKE THIS STOP RIGHT NOW! PLEASE CALVINA! DON'T DO THIS!" I begged while joining my hands at her. "How about you call Iris now and I'll allow him to live?" "DON'T LISTEN TO HER-FUCKING CHRIST!" Zenith disapproved while his arm started jerking badly. "I-I'LL DO IT! JUST PLEASE STOP! HE'LL DIE." I cried while looking at his disoriented figure. "Call her now." She demanded. "FIRST STOP THIS-" "ARGHHH!" "I said call her now." "I won't call her until you stop this torture!" I cried. "NOW MEANS NOW! OR HE WILL DIE IN THE NEXT MINUTE!" She snarled. "Don't do it LoLo!" Agatha warned. "There has to be another way!" Balthazar panicked. "HE IS FUCKING DYING!" Uriel yelled in horror. "Don't call her Laura! She can't get merged with-" "IRIS! IRIS COME HERE NOW! PLEASE COME HERE!" I screamed loudly in the air after getting the breaking affects of the mate bond due to it being damaged further and further, making the criminal dragons roar in satisfaction after seeing my submit thanks to this, while my vision blurred because of the overflowing tears. "N-No…" Zenith mumbled softly after not getting the chance to breathe, while getting zapped for the thousandth time, making me flinch again. "Yeah that's right, call her louder!" Calvina laughed in an evil manner. "IRIS AURORA I'M TALKING TO YOU! COME HERE PLEASE! COME OUT NOW! COME OUT OF HIDING RIGHT THIS INSTANT! IT'S AN ORDER." I yelled with my heart out, making me loose a little bit of my voice desperately, while Zenith collapsed on the ground and continued to get zapped. "SCREAM LOUDER!" Calvina ordered. "Iris. PLEASE COME OUT! I'M ORDERING YOU TO COME OUT! LISTEN TO ME AND COME OUT!" I screamed one last time, before most of my energy left my body all at once, with the last bit of breath left in me completely vanishing at the cries of my soul to my dragon. "W-Why…why did you listen to her.." Zenith cried to me while looking at me with his reddened eyes, before choking on his tears and getting zapped again. "Please come out…" I pleaded while looking at him with a broken voice, as he groaned and growled in pain all over again. "WHERE IS SHE?! WHY ISN'T SHE COMING?!" Calvina yelled at me. "I-I don't know…please stop striking him…please stop.." I broke. "NO! I WANT IRIS TO BE HEAR RIGHT NOW!" Calvina sneered while her hands covered in her element, with her lifting rocks in the air and laughing. "I-I don't know why…just stop-" "BRING HER HERE!" "I-I tried-" "IT WASN'T ENOUGH! IF SHE DOESN'T ARRIVE IN THE NEXT FEW SECONDS THEN KISS YOUR HUSBAND GOODBYE!" She sneered. "B-But I did what you said-" "IRIS FUCKING AURORA! COME OUT NOW!" "You want her that bad Calvin Klein?" I whispered demonically at her with my grey shining eyes, as she looked at me in confusion because of my calm tone. "Then come and get her." ༒
