The…ropes? What ropes? "What the hell?" I snorted. "Was that a dragon that spoke?" Agatha asked me. "Apparently, didn't you hear him?" I face-palmed. "We can't talk doofus." She stated the obvious. "Right…he's asking for a password." I muttered. 'Deepen'd clams might not but not, lighten'd as le pearl de Hydania, crisp as thy bed of titans. P'rish'd porcelain cells outside the temple, embracing the windeth. Orbs as of thy lov'r of the travelling lamp, vanquish'd by thy menacing soil. Heir of thy Hydra gracing sacr'd blessings, as of beest the h'ro of royal 'rd'r. Saveth the carri'rs of life with cure, bringeth the halcyon of thy air, what is't?' "English please." I whined. "What kind of fuckery is this?" Maximus complained with his own squeak. "Iris likes riddles?" Zalius questioned. "My stupid castle has this under it's grounds, what am I doing with my life?" Zenith grumbled. "Yay! Games!" Rhea squealed. "GET THIS FUCKING SHIT SORTED RIGHT NOW! I am not a patient woman Laura, you are on the clock." Calvina threatened again after taking out a knife with her other hand to aim it at Agatha, making me roll my eyes before showing her the middle finger. Does it look like I care? You can't touch her when I'm here, hah. "Now now, we need to do this one by one and sentence by sentence. Can you translate it?" I questioned. "The first line is like…deepened clams must not, light as the Pearl of Hydania. And clean as the beds of the titans. That's the first line, what does it mean?" Agatha clicked her lips. "Wait, did you say the Pearl of Hydania?" Balthazar implored. "Yes, what's that?" "The dragon kingdom is known as Genzania, but the mermaid kingdom is known as Hydania. The Pearl of Hydania is the most brightest and the most oldest pearl to ever exist in this dimension, and it's treasured by the mermaids and mermen as it's seen as their object of worship. Millions of bandits and thieves have tried to steal it because it has alien-like healing abilities, but it was never found by anyone in centuries. It's supposedly a myth, but some say the sirens keep it hidden away from everyone." Balthazar frowned profusely. "So if that pearl is bright, so the thing this riddle is describing is white in colour, but what does deepened clams mean? What's does clams have to do with this?" Rhea interjected. "Clams in the mermaid world is used as a tool to perform skin care routines. I remember Kristy talking about it, and clams are very common to find, unlike this pearl or whatever. And then it's saying the bed of the titans…" "Titans of earth are known to be dragons." Zalius interrupted. "They are?" "Of course they are, they are the first terrestrial creatures to come outside from space and onto earth to mate. It makes them the first rulers." Rhea shrugged. "So the beds of dragons…does it mean the sea bed? Because they stay among mermaids? Clean as the beds of the mermaid coves? So this thing is very clear and bright, and is very very clean, super descriptive and helpful. Next line please." I facepalmed. "Uhh…hmm. Perished…cells? It says perished cells outside the temple, embracing the wind?" Agatha suggested. "What the heck is dead and flies? A soul? It's talking about a temple, is it religion related?" Balthazar brought in. "I don't think it's related to religion, this riddle is over complicated. It is describing something which is very simple, but it's way of describing is weird. It's like an English exam, it's trying to trick you into thinking something else, like how it would make comprehension difficult for you. Maybe it would make you think about a certain god outside a temple, but I honestly don't think it's trying to say that." Rhea explained her opinion next. "Then what even is a temple here? Why is there a temple…dead cells outside the temple…embracing the wind-oh my goodness y'all, watching stupid beauty videos might actually pay off. It's talking about hair! Hair are dead cells outside of the skin, temple can be our head, and it is embracing the wind! It's hair!" I squealed. I feel smart now. "Let's keep hair in mind in the meantime, cause the next clue talks about how some orbs are of the lover of the travelling lamp. What the fuck is the travelling lamp? What kind of lamp travels? And it has a boyfriend?" Agatha snorted. "Hmm…it might be metaphor. Travelling lamp could be a metaphor for something, something that's similar but is not really a travelling lamp at the same time." Zenith suddenly offered after many moments of staying quiet. "So there's a lover of the travelling lamp, what if orbs are eyes though? It's talking about eye colour. And-OH MY GOD THE TRAVELLING LAMP IS THE SUN! The sun's lover is the moon, grey eyes! So porcelain dead cells, it's white hair and grey eyes-" "This…this whole riddle is describing Seraphina." Balthazar smiled optimistically after mentioning the distinct detail that might actually be the answer, while everyone proceeded to shift their gaze to me because I was the exact carbon copy of her, and I looked exactly like her from top to bottom. This whole thing just reminded me of that one picture we would always hold dear in our hearts whenever we were in the house, or most importantly, my dad would treasure. My dad was not a friendly man, he was worse than Zenith if I'm being honest. He was rude, incredibly serious and insanely scary to everyone, heck, even at one point, the police were terrified of my dad. He was the reason why no boys would talk to me while I was growing up, he would just intimidate them away. But if there's one person whom he would become vulnerable for which is not me nor, nor my mama, it would be grandmama, no doubts there. My father adored her, heck, even I did. I couldn't get the image of her smiling back at me through her black and white photo, and goddamn was she fucking beautiful. Her bright silver hair was shorter than mine, but her eyes didn't even need colour to let out the emotions she was feeling in a single picture. Her face was very expressive, and I would remember just staring at her portrait for a good few minutes whenever I was bored. Her smile was a lot more confident than mine, and every single part of her screamed absolute power which was unbelievable. She was not tiny as a person, nor was she your typical friendly grandmother who would make cookies for you. My baba told me that she would be the woman who would fight off an army on her own with no one's help, and that she was the best fighter in her youth. Apparently she even faced a lot of criticism because of involving herself into forbidden love. My grandmother and grandfather were mortal enemies at the time, I don't know much about their story because frankly speaking, even my dad doesn't know their story, all I know that my dad was a mistake in front of the people, but my grandparents loved him dearly, one of the many reasons my dad was even alive. They died way too young, but they did have my baba before going, and that picture in house, of my grandmother holding my dad's baby self in her arms and smiling at the camera was heartbreaking, because she did not have grandfather by her side anymore, he was long gone. I think that photo was even taken on the day when my grandfather was murdered, and she was thrown away from everyone, yet she smiled so painfully and happily, keeping my dad in her arms like the true fighter she was. Holy cow, I can't cry in front of so many people. "Hey! Is the password Seraphina Aurora?" I yelled out loud. "No! Not even close!" The geeko replied back, leaving me a disappointed mess. "So the password isn't my grandma, but it's describing her. She's apparently…vanquished by the menacing soil? Is soil related to some disease or something? Or is this talking about her allergies?" "This literal riddle is fucking telling us about her health problems." Calvina grumbled. "Okay, another point, she might have had asthma. But then it gets weird. It then says the the apparent heir of the hydra…brings in blessings for the…uhh…protector of royal order?" Agatha squinted her eyes. "Hold up, why the hell is the heir of the hydra being mentioned here?" Zenith snarled. "Who is the heir of the hydra?" I entreated. "The Heir of the Hydra is known to be the supreme mythical creature of all mermaids and mermen. It's a legend, not proven nor forgotten in Hydania. We don't know if it exists, all we know is that it's a divine creature, who's the heir of all waters and its power." Zenith thoroughly mentioned. "So wait…how is my grandma and the mythical creature related to this? Who was my grandmother in Genzania?" I questioned skeptically. "One thing that she truly was, is actually the protector of dragon royal order. Your grandmother was a legend herself, she was the strongest dragonie out there, stronger than the Queen of Genzania. After the king's power, it was her power that people were after, and this line could suggest that she had this much power because…maybe she seeked the heir's prayers to get Iris's companionship. That's possibly it, I can't think of anything else." Balthazar shrugged, making me narrow my eyes at his words and be consumed in my thoughts for a few seconds. So the Heir of the Hydra…blessed my grandmother? Bruh, the things I would do to fucking talking to my grandmama now. I have so many questions. Who is the Heir of the Hydra? Maybe I can…know in the future… Meh. "So to conclude, we know she's pale, is beautiful, has white hair and grey eyes, is prone to dust, and now…it's asking for a cure to the harsh carries of life, which I'm going to guess is a metaphor for her lungs. A type of medicine that helps in asthma, probably food right? Or a potion? But what kind of-" "OH MY GOD LOLO! GENZANIAN FOOD! It all makes sense now! Claminias, clams that give you perfect skin, seadarts that get rid of toxins of the body to keep it clean, and now recipe to get rid of coughs and throat related shit? EGGINITS! That's the recipe! That's the cure!" My best friend is a genius. "IS THE PASSWORD EGGINITS?!" I yelled again against the wall. "You're very close, but it's not that." The dragon squeaked, making me groan. "It isn't Egginits?" Agatha frowned. "Apparently not." I mumbled. "W-What? What else can it be?" "I don't know for God's sake. What kind of riddle is this?! It's so fucking stupid!" "What else could it be then though-" "I don't fucking know, and you know what? I'm pissed. Who the fuck made this stupid riddle huh? I don't want to learn about my grandma's asthma and have no interest in educating myself with her daily doses of evening eggs with Iris for her breathing problems!" I yelled in frustration because of not having it anymore, simply because I was confused, but then the unexpected happened. After I just said that, the wall started to crack immensely with no further warning, making all of us freeze on the spot as we stared at the moving surface, rolling over to it's left to reveal the room on the other side, making us gasp. "Thank you for the password!" I heard the dragon's voice trail in the distance, making me plaster a dead face. "What was the Damn password even? Was it something I said…oh." I mumbled in realisation. "Daily doses of evening eggs with Iris. What a password man." Agatha's snorted. "THAT WAS THE FUCKING PASSWORD?!" ༒
