Chapter 116

~ Damen (POV) ~

“Where’s Ermic?” I looked at Logan and asked. Then he watched me for a while and shook his head. What’s wrong with him? Ermic came here last night and if it was not because of him, I don’t know what I am today.

“He left that night. I don’t know where he left but I feel that he’s not coming back” hearing what Logan said, my heart clenched. He’s not coming back? I didn’t even get a chance to thank him for doing what I asked him to. He was just simply fast. He came within a day. I sighed and nodded at Logan before getting up from the bed.

“Emres had sent a message. He had mentioned that Kalon left to his kingdom without staying beside the queen” left? Suddenly? Or is he planning something? I would never believe that fucking Kalon. Looking at Logan’s serious face I sighed. Now my demon has gone and I can freely go to Asteria.

I can be sure about her safety from now on. But I don’t know if she’s still like that. No, that doesn’t matter. She should be with me and I don’t give a fuck about her opinion. Letting out a deep sigh, I walked towards the washroom and looked back at Logan who was watching me.

“Let’s wipe out the people who always annoy us” I simply said as I walked into the washroom. I sighed and grabbed a shower. After I was done, I came out of the washroom and entered the dressing room before changing into my clothes. Then I walked out of the room. Without going to the dining hall, I just simply walked into the room where my so-called uncle stayed.

I entered the room and looked at him, he was laying on the bed closing his eyes. My heart filled with fury seeing him. I just wanted nothing but to end his life. Every time I remembered my mother, I felt anger burning inside of me. He killed her for nothing, because of his lust and possessiveness. Not only that, he made me lose my father too.

I don’t even remember them and they were gone when I was just a little kid. He caused everything and he made my life like this. Clenching my fists, I walked towards the bed he was laying. I didn’t do anything, I just watched his face as he slowly opened his eyes and looked at me with a grin. I smirked as he woke up.

“Can’t wait to kill me?” he asked me, making me chuckle. Of course I can’t wait to kill my mother’s murder. Watching him for a while, I nodded at him. I didn’t want to lie to him, I just really wanted to kill him for every sin he had done.

“I can’t wait to kill my mother’s murder!” I smirked at him as I said that. Then he coughed a few times and looked away from me. Every time I mentioned my mother, his mood grew dark. I couldn’t understand if it was because of what he did to her or if it was because of the fake love he had for her. As he mentioned to me, he had loved my mother but if he ever loved her, would he kill her? As soon as she gave birth to me.

“I’m already dying, Damen. You know it” he muttered with a sigh. Yes he is dying but it has nothing to do with me. His disease was his own karma. He couldn’t even walk out of the room. He was just trapped inside of this room. He cannot walk, his body is weak but a man like him deserves this kind of punishment.

“You got the crown as you wanted. You got everything, and now you’re the king here. And I know that you’re taking Asteria here too. You won this game Damen. Just like your father, you’re intelligent.” a small smile appeared on his lips as he spoke. Then he looked at me and smiled. My heart clenched. Why is he talking like this? It was as if he was going to die in the next second.

“Where’s my father?” I asked him. Even though I knew that my father had left the kingdom, I just wanted to ask it from him because I never asked this from him. For some unknown reason, my heart kept telling me that he must know something about his disappearance. So I wanted to know.

“Dead!” my whole body went numb hearing him. Dead? How come? They said that he left the kingdom and that’s all. I watched his face for a while and clenched my jaws. I just didn’t want to believe what he said. Not knowing how to react, I scanned his eyes.

“After he left, I found his body floating on the river. He had jumped down from the cliff” his words made my heart feel defeated. He had jumped down from the cliff? No... I don’t believe this bastard’s words. Clenching my fists, I waited for a while before speaking. I just wanted to know the fucking truth.

“I’m not gonna believe you. A man like you shouldn’t be trusted.” I said as I turned to leave. I’m not killing this bastard. I would just let him live and suffer day by day. Just like he’s suffering from the disease, he will suffer until he dies. Why do I have to kill him and release him from the pain?

“Well, you will believe me.” I heard him saying as I walked out of the room. Ignoring him, I just simply walked into the dining hall to have breakfast. As I entered, Karina came and stood next to me as Logan also followed her. Seeing them, I sighed.

I need to fix their relationship or this will be a huge blow. If she got pregnant with Logan and then Asteria found this. She will think that Karina is pregnant with me. I know Asteria and I fucking know the way she thinks about things. So before something like this could happen, I need to fix everything.

There were so many members as we entered the dining hall, the only missing one was Ermic. Remembering him, I sighed. I didn’t know where the hell he left and as Logan mentioned, he will come back or not. Walking towards my seat, I sat on it as everyone greeted me with gratitude.

“Greeting my king and queen.” one older man spoke as he got up from his seat and bowed his head. I watched him for a while and hummed as I grabbed my food. I was starving, that night that blood demon took over me wanting to find blood but I stayed in the room without going anywhere. I was glad because Ermic came at the right time.

“My king, we need to inform you something” I looked at the man as he said that. What does he have to inform me? I frowned looking at him and then moved my eyes to the general. He was also looking at me with weird eyes. What the fuck? How dare he look at his king like this? Ignoring him, I again moved my eyes towards the man who spoke.

“What is it?” I asked. Then he waited for a while and sighed before looking at everyone who were present there. And then he spoke seriously.

“We got a warning from the vampire kingdom early in the morning. They have mentioned that prince Ermic had run away with princess Gianna. Vampire princess” my lips subconsciously pressed together hearing him. Fuck! Ermic! This guy is a curse. What the hell? I looked at Logan and saw he also had the same shocked face as he looked at me.

So this is why he’s not here and this is why he left the kingdom. It’s been almost a day since he was not here. I fucking slept for a day after what happened that night. So he took the princess away? Giving me a fucking trouble. Shit!
