Merciless

Merciless
Hira took a deep breath, but didn't back down, with her nose upturned and cold gaze, she pulled a dagger from her waist and held it determinedly.

It was one of those ritualistic daggers, with a handle decorated with ancient symbols I didn't recognize. My beast simply snorted, scoffing at that object and the pathetic female wielding it against me.

My gammas, united with the wolves loyal to Derik, surrounded the traitors, keeping them in the courtyard, and all who tried to flee met their end.

The sound of crying, screams of despair, and death were like music to my ears, the beast was satisfied like a pest exterminator.

— Impossible, there are no females in the third form! This cannot be real! — Hira vociferated.

— Maybe it's not real, Hira, maybe I'm your worst nightmare!

My beast had a sense of humor as sick as my Alpha's.

— I'm not afraid of you! A newborn beast is no match for me. I will make of your death another offering to the great goddess Sargat.

She advanced towards me, with the dagger raised, attempting to strike any area she believed she could reach. I didn't know how to fight, but my beast didn't even need to know, because at Hira's first move, she extended her arm with a blow too fast, even for my eyes, and the dagger fell meters away. Hira screamed, her dreadful face contorted with rage. She was agile, yes, against wolves in human form, but she couldn't even get close enough to try to land a blow on me.

The beast played with her, letting her hope for an attack, like a cat plays with a mouse. In a few minutes, it got tired and slapped Hira's face, knocking her forcefully to the ground.

— Time to die, trash-female! Look around, your allies have abandoned you, surrendering to the pack or dying.

Hira was tired, her face bleeding, and she was breathing with difficulty. Her whole body trembled, barely contained rage dominating her being.

— You can't kill me, I'm Rael's mother, he'll hate you if you do that!

— Rael is mine! You are nothing, much less his mother! Rael is my pup and my Alpha's!

Hira laughed hysterically, like a madwoman.

— At least I had the satisfaction of killing Derik!

My Beast grabbed her by the neck, licking its sharp teeth.

— Your show accomplished nothing, my Alpha is alive! Who do you think saved the little Alpha?

She widened her eyes in surprise, screamed like a hyena, flailing randomly, desperately trying to cause some damage to my body.

— He will die soon, by saving the useless pup, he condemned himself, because the spell advanced entirely to him!

— He will live, Hira, it is you who are on borrowed time.

She laughed once more, the gleam of pride back in her eyes.

— If you kill me, you can never cure him, the wretched old man is dead, only I know how to produce the antidote!

The beast brought her closer to its face, and growled right in her face: — You will die knowing that Derik and I will be happy together. And we both know that if you die, the spell dies with you.

— As I said, I am a witch, my soul no longer belongs to me, Derik dies with me! You will be nothing more than a widowed slave with another's pup!

— As a slave, I observed my captors closely, I know how to kill a rogue witch!

I pulled her hair back, exposing her neck, and with a sharp claw, her throat was cut. The blood that gushed out was dark and rotten. The blood loss would kill her body, but I needed to get rid of that greasy soul. I used the same claw to open her chest and ripped out her heart, hard as a stone, before shoving it down her throat and making her swallow the very putrefaction of her existence.

The beast watched, satisfied, the last gasps of the witch who threatened its family.

Exhausted and weakened, I returned to human form and darkness blinded my eyes and my senses.

Third person:

Derik's Army easily suppressed the uprising after the pack's Luna revealed her third form. No one would be crazy enough to support the losing side, except for Hira's loyalists, who had already publicly rebelled. Not that anyone wanted to, as most of the pack was happy and satisfied with the Alpha couple who governed them.

Those who were not fighters and feared for their lives locked themselves in their huts, praying to the great Goddess that Luna Nadja would win. Those who considered themselves minimally capable, warriors or not, joined the soldiers for the battle. It was not pleasant to fight against a former brother, a neighbor, and even a friend, but by supporting the traitor, they became rivals.

When they saw the Luna transform, the Council Alpha and the demon prince accompanying him exchanged glances. Their eyes widened at the beautiful specimen and her power.

Never in the history of that universe had there been any mention of a third form in females.

A pup born from that womb would be strong and powerful.

The demon prince had spent a vast fortune on procreation, using kidnapped omegas and Lunas, as well as strong females of various species in search of purifying and strengthening his legacy. An army of loyal descendants by blood and with extraordinary strength, but nothing could compare to the third form of a werewolf, and there, before him, a female Luna revealed herself as the most incredible creature.
His brain calculated the gains she could bring him in wealth and power.

A similar thought ran through the old alpha's mind. His pack had been divided between his two alpha descendants, and he had won a seat on the Council. He had influence, respect, but it was not enough for him. He wanted more, why settle for a "retirement" where his power was purely bureaucratic? Hira was manipulable, he would have control over the lands and wolves of the deceased Derik, but even for that, that tramp was useless. At least the nights riding her without the young alpha's knowledge were fun.

If he got his hands on that Luna, capable of the third form, he would have bargaining power with the greatest leaders of the universe, how much would they pay to impregnate her? He would become even richer!
