I sat on the bed and pulled the tray onto my lap. I carefully smelled the food, everything was normal. I made a beautiful sandwich with bread, fish, tomato, jam, onion, banana, and a piece of the meat Derik left on his plate.
So delicious, I moan and had an even better idea, I dipped the sandwich in cream and, now, yes, it was perfect!
Derik watched me, his brow furrowed and his nose wrinkled.
— Do you want a piece? — I asked with my mouth full.
— No, Little One, you can eat it all, I think I lost my appetite...
And that was the morning of the happiest day of my life. I don't think I'll ever forget the look on my Alpha's face watching me eat like that.
When I finished eating, my Alpha took me to Lord Agar's cabin, and as soon as the lord opened the door, he looked at us smiling and said:
— Congratulations, Alpha! Our Little Luna is pregnant.

— How do you know, Lord Agar? — My female asked after recovering from what we had just heard.
— I heard that my Luna has been feeling nauseous in the morning and has developed a taste for strange foods.
— But how can we be sure? My nature is silent.
— Come in, let's do the examination to confirm. — The sly old man made my female sit in the most comfortable armchair. — The she-wolf's silence is normal, she is still in the early stages of pregnancy. The being that is forming is not yet an individual, but her body is already preparing to take care of it, until it receives the soul chosen by the Goddess.
Nadja placed her hands on her belly.
Well… I wasn't really surprised, since the union ceremony, we had been quite committed to the means to that end.
My wolf was prancing inside me, like a clumsy hare.
Lord Agar called his apprentice midwife, who entered the room wiping her hands on an apron. She touched my female's belly with her hands and closed her eyes.
The huge smile that followed was already the answer.
My heart beat faster in my chest, the beast was tense, suspicious, almost paranoid. A single thought in mind: we have to protect our female. The beast's emotion was something new, it didn't behave this way with Rael's arrival, in fact, it never recognized him as an heir.

My little one looked at me again, her eyes teary and the most beautiful smile. My beast did not try to take control, yet, its impulse was so strong that I took my Luna in my arms and left the cabin. He laughed and shouted behind me if I needed anything else, and I just grunted in response.
I did need something else, yes, and that was to take my female to our den, protect her, and feed her. The most basic instinct of my nature, overpowering reason.
As we crossed the territory, General Gama Adanir spotted us and ran to meet us. He looked at Nadja in my arms with concern etched on his face.
— What happened, Alpha, any problem with the Luna?
He extended his hand and I growled loudly. He reacted by frowning, suspicious.
Damn it, it wasn't my intention, but somehow, when he raised his hand, my nature took it as a threat. Nadja moved her face away from my chest and smiled reassuringly at the gamma.
— Hello, Gamma! Don't worry, Alpha is freaking out a bit because I'm pregnant.
Adanir raised his eyebrows and smiled.
— Congratulations, Luna! What good news! May your offspring come rich in health, strength, and honor!
— Thank you, Gamma! — I replied, already moving away from him.
The people around us who heard the good news began to congratulate us, which was irritating me, as they were in my way. The need to take Nadja to our den was becoming increasingly absurd.
— You need to calm down, Alpha, it's not your first time being a dad!
She was right, it wasn't… My wolf had been like this before, but the beast… Its aura was unbearable even for me. No one else mattered, not even the pack, only Nadja and the pup in her womb.
— I'm just taking you to our room, for your safety, female!
— This is our pack, My Alpha, our home, there is no safer place for us! — She argued, there was amusement in her voice.
My heart was relieved only when I laid her on our bed. My female was beautiful, now I understand why her essence was even more irresistible, inside her, our pup was developing.
— Are you okay? Do you need anything? Do you want something to eat? Of course, you want water, you must be thirsty!
— I'm fine, but I'm enjoying the attention.
I served her a glass of water and watched her drink, before taking the glass back and getting softer furs to warm her.— I'm not that cold, Alpha! — She wrinkled her nose at the three furs I was carrying.
— Did I overdo it? — I asked, amused with myself.
— A little! Come here, daddy, stay with me in bed for a bit?
Your wish is my command!
I lay beside her, and she rested her head on my chest. There's nothing more satisfying than having your contented female in your arms.
Gratitude to all the gods, I never imagined I would be worthy of so much happiness.

— Luna, what are you doing? — Solveig asked, looking at me curiously.
I was crouched behind a bush in the mansion's courtyard. In the morning, when Derik finally left for work after three days of not leaving my side, I decided to go out for a bit. After taking a fennel bath, to try and disguise my scent, I left the room slowly, attempting to remain undetected by the paranoid Alpha.
— Did you see the Alpha around?
— No, madam, he must be at the border with the Beta, implementing the new security program.
— Oh… how wonderful! — I stood up and stretched.
How sweet is freedom!
— Aren't you going to say you're hiding from the Alpha?
— Hm… Would I be a very bad mate if I said yes?
The omega laughed, surprised, but shook his head no.
— No, madam. Well, it depends on your reasons, but I believe you must have a good reason, you are a good Luna!
— Don't flatter me, Solveig! I promised the Alpha I'd stay in the room, but I only did that so he'd let me breathe a little. Ever since he found out about my pregnancy, he's been like a tick.
