Chapter 27
One month later.

As the Pack's situation became more chaotic, Mark made rules that burdened all the werewolves in his clan. Sean continued to follow the storyline of the new alpha.

"Sean, don't forget today is the election of new warriors," Mark said.

"Yes, Alpha."

"I'm going to town to barter some goods."

"Want me to accompany you?"

"I have Elle to keep me company."

Mark left the Pack while Sean gathered all the werewolves to carry out the plan they had made a month ago.

"The women and children leave the Pack first while the men destroy all the buildings immediately. We have to do it quickly and make a surprise for Mark; that stupid man is even too confident," said Sean.

"Okay, Sean. You are a smart gamma."

They immediately did their respective tasks; Lucanne had prepared a better place for them near the city. Lucanne bought an area near the city with some tiny houses. She did that purposefully because she wanted to update the werewolf clan to be more modern.

An hour later, they were there; Lucanne welcomed them well and even dared to drain her money savings to buy this area. Lisa was right if their clan was too traditional when the times were getting more modern and even vampires began to mingle with humans.

"Lucanne, we miss you so much."

"I miss you too. This is an area near the city that humans have abandoned. I bought it for our colony, and I hope you like it," Lucanne said.

"It's more than enough."

Lucanne took them to look around all the buildings. They would also build new buildings so there would be enough for all the werewolves to live in. Lucanne also taught them how to earn money because money is everything.

"Don't let Mark know about this place! If he comes, get rid of him," Lucanne said.

Lisa had prepared some raw chicken and told them to eat it first. She was glad they were doing well despite the distress on their faces.

"Lisa, you stay here with them and don't go into the forest! I'm going there to see Mark," Lucanne said.

"Are you going to fight? Remember, you're still friends."

"No friend betrays a friend. I will make him realize what he has done," said Lucanne.

Lucanne left with Sean for the forest; at least, he had moved his colony to a safer place. Once there, Mark was already in front of the Pack. Elle was next to him, and she gave him an annoyed look.

"Sean, it turns out you're still on Lucanne's side?" asked Mark.

"Lucanne is our alpha, and you're just a traitor," Sean replied.

Mark just smiled; his nails were elongated, and his fine hair started coming out.

"I don't want to fight and just want to talk nicely," Lucanne said.

"Let's see who's stronger!" said Mark.

"Mark, we've been friends since childhood, and I've forgiven you for what you did this time. I'll give you a second chance to make things right," Lucanne replied.

Mark had become a werewolf, attacking Lucanne and Sean while Elle watched without intervening.

"Mark, we can talk," Sean said.

No one could dispel Mark's anger; the werewolf continued to attack, and even the fact was revealed that Mark had attacked the Moreno clan first and provoked the two clans. Lucanne and Sean continued to dodge, and they didn't want to hurt Mark.

Mark's punch hit Sean in the chest, and Sean fell to the ground with his mouth bleeding.

"Sean!"

Lucanne was getting increasingly upset and began countering Mark's attacks. A big fight ensued until the trees fell. Mark was always jealous of Lucanne because his friend always got more attention than everyone else. Mark also wanted to be alpha, but Lucanne got it instead.

"Mark! Wake up, we don't have to fight!"

"I'll kill you, Lucanne!"

Suddenly, Mark fell to the ground, and he was stabbed by Sean using his hand that had turned into a werewolf hand. Blood started coming out of Mark's stomach until Sean's hand pierced his stomach. Sean shed tears because he was forced to do so for the sake of his clan. Sean and Mark were so close that they were always together.

"Sean?" said Lucanne.

Sean pulled his hand away, and Mark fell to the ground and died.

"I'm sorry," Sean said with tears in his eyes.

"Sean, this isn't what we planned," Lucanne said.

"It's better than many victims later," Sean replied with tears in his eyes.

Elle, upset with them, immediately attacked, but Lucanne quickly blocked her and tied the vampire girl's hands together.

"You've lost," Lucanne said.



Lucanne buried Mark's body in the old Pack; she had lost her friend forever and would not blame Sean.

"Settle down here and make peace with the Pack!" Lucanne said and left.

They returned to the new Pack with Elle, the girl still tied up for possibly being a bad influence on Mark. Once there, all the werewolves welcomed them, and of course, they already knew that Mark was dead.

"Lucanne is great! She's the real alpha," said one of them.

"Lucanne is the alpha!" they shouted.

Lucanne has won their hearts again, and now the beta position is empty because Mark died. Lucanne directly allowed Sean to become a beta or a deputy alpha. All the werewolves agreed because Sean was also brilliant.
A small party was held, and Lisa was proud of Lucanne.

"Come with me for a moment! I have something to show you," Lisa said.

Lisa handed her a pregnancy test that showed a positive result.

"Lisa, are you pregnant again?"

"Yes, I'm pregnant."

Lucanne was very happy and hugged Lisa tightly.
