Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Lisa prepares food for her husband, trying to be a good wife. Meanwhile, Lucanne was learning to use her cell phone and social media.
"Honey, I put it in the bag, okay? Don't forget to eat it!"
"What did you bring? Please bring raw chicken once in a while."
"What if your coworkers see it? They'll get suspicious."
"There's a vampire in my office, and he brings blood into the office; everyone doesn't suspect him."
Lisa approached her as she gently kissed Lucanne's cheek. Her husband had undergone so many changes that he was like an average human.
"He could reason that what he drank was red syrup, whereas you would reason that he brought raw meat?" Lisa asked.
"I can eat it in the bathroom. Lisa, my body feels weak if I don't eat it," said Lucanne.
"Okay, I'll bring it tomorrow. Now, eat this and finish it!"
Lisa then drove Lucanne to the bus stop. Lucanne could have bought a car with his savings, but the problem was that he couldn't drive. After Lucanne got on the bus, Lisa decided to go shopping at the supermarket. It seemed today she would not cook and would give Lucanne raw beef as a gift.
Arriving at the supermarket, Lisa chose some fresh meat and didn't forget the vegetables. There was a lot of fruit, so she bought some too.
"Luna."
A man called from behind, who turned out to be Sean.
"Sean, why are you here?" asked Lisa.
"I'm looking for your whereabouts; Lucanne has broken telepathy with me, so we can't communicate anymore. Where do you live now?"
"Sorry, Lucanne said there's no need to tell anyone where we live."
Sean understood that. "We want you back. Mark made some changes to the Pack, and we're having a little trouble adjusting. The kids who should be focused on playing must now take combat training. The female werewolves must find food for the Pack, while the male werewolves must serve them. If you remember Lucanne's leadership, it's the other way around. Mark is evil at being an alpha."
Lisa remained silent as she picked out some good fruit.
"Luna, please persuade Lucanne to return to the Pack!"
"I've often asked Lucanne to return to the Pack, but she doesn't want to," Lisa said.
"You can persuade her again, and I'm sure she'll just melt at your words. We want Lucanne back," Sean said.
Lisa smiled as she patted Sean's shoulder; she knew he was loyal to Lucanne and unlike Mark, who betrayed her.
"You can come with me back to the apartment, and Lucanne will be home from work in the afternoon. You can talk to her directly," Lisa said.
"Lucanne works with humans?"
"Right, she's been living the life of a human, and I'm not sure she wants to return to the Pack," Lisa said.
In the afternoon, Lucanne returned home without Lisa picking his up. Fortunately, he didn't get lost and could get home safely. Arriving at the apartment, he felt a familiar scent, and sure enough, Sean was helping to prepare dinner.
"Alpha, are you home yet? Luna and I prepared some meat for you. You must miss werewolf food?" asked Sean.
"What are you here for? If it's Mark's orders, you better leave before I kill you," Lucanne said.
"I came because I missed you. The Pack was in bad shape when you left," said Sean.
"You guys don't need me."
Lisa untied Lucanne's tie and took the bag in the man's hand, telling Lucanne to sit in front of the dining table. Lucanne's eyes saw a lot of raw meat on the table.
"I brought your favorite venison; you'll love it," Sean said.
"You know I don't want any of this," Lucanne replied.
"Honey, eat up; Sean was very sincere in coming here."
They ate together, and Lisa tried to eat the raw meat she had seasoned to make it more palatable.
"Yesterday, you tried to summon the Moon Goddes, but she didn't come," Sean said.
"An alpha must connect with the Moon Goddes. You can tell that to Mark, he has a lot to learn," Lucanne said.
"I believe the Moon Goddes do not approve of Mark being an alpha."
"After this, you have to go home; I don't want Mark to misunderstand you," Lucanne said.
Sean thought of Mark, who was having sex with Elle, the vampire girl.
"Elle, she's a vampire girl who was close to Mark. I thought they had a special relationship," said Sean.
"Elle, she's my schoolmate. No wonder she frequents the forest."
"I'm sure that girl is evil and wants to use Mark and Pack," Sean said.
Lucanne let out a long sigh, annoyed that it was all about Pack. She decided to finish her meal and went into the bathroom.
"I'm sorry if Lucanne is like that," Lisa said.
"I understand. I'm going home; thanks for bringing me to this house."
"Sean, you can stay here if you want."
Sean shook his head. "Mark will kill me if he finds out I met Lucanne."
Half an hour later, Lucanne came out of the bathroom. She only saw Lisa there, and Sean had already left.
"Lisa, you shouldn't have brought him here," Lucanne said.
"What can I do? I feel sorry for her. The Pack seems to be in a mess, and you should go back there," Lisa said.
Lucanne climbed onto the soft bed and lay there. She had just been enjoying life without thinking about anyone else, and there was no way she was going back. As Lisa climbed onto the bed, she looked at Lucanne's handsome face.
"I know you miss Pack," Lisa said.
"Lisa, I don't want to talk about that anymore. I've decided to stay here forever and blend in with the humans," Lucanne replied.
"Okay, I won't insist. By the way, where does your mother live? Did you say she married a human and left the Pack?"
"My mom? I don't want to see her," said Lucanne.
