CHAPTER 28
Amelia was nervous as she watched as Selene made her way through the racks. She knew that she had, in fact, told her to trust her, but now she felt as though she wasn't so sure anymore. She watched as she scanned over the racks with her head, and the last thing that she wanted was to end up being forced into an outfit that would make people embarrassed of her.
She watched as she returned moments later with a stack of clothes in her hand. "Well, I know that you are from the earth kingdom, and so your dress will be based on that, but I also want to incorporate elements of fire inside it. After all, we are in fire territory, and I know they would appreciate seeing that."
She nodded her head and watched as she pulled out a piece of peach fabric. It looks similar to the material that she wore, cracks and all. She looked at it in confusion. "This is the bottom of the dress. It will be a puffy ball gown because I know that we can't go wrong with that, and there will be a bit of a surprise in it. She said to her, and He looked towards her in confusion as she couldn't help but wonder what it was. For a moment, he was confused, as she knew nothing about his girl, and from what she could see, she had to be cautious. She had no idea what her next move would be.
"So the material is embedded with Norse seeds. When watered, they don't react, but if brought into light, even a stage light, they bloom rapidly. And that is what will make you the show stopper out there.``
She said that, and Amelia widened her eyes at her words. It was the first time that she had heard something like that before. But she was somewhat excited to see how exactly it would work. "Are you sure that it would work? It sounds all fun and games, but what if it doesn't end up going there and making fun of me?" She said to her with a grim look.
"Look. I have never been wrong. It will do good to represent you as the figure of the earth kingdom, and that was the reason why I suggested it for you in the first place. You will simply have to trust me, and I know that it will be what is right for you." She said to her, and she let out an aigh in response as she nodded her head at her in response.
"And now for the top half. Because I have seen the fire in your eyes, I have come up with the perfect incorporation. The mating of a fire and an earth He will like a story that is told through your clothes. This fabric is black now, but there will be a mechanism so that you can turn it on when you get onto the stage. For it only they, not after, and when you do it will spark and turn red as though there was something glowing from it." She listened to her.
She let out a sigh from her lips as she moved her head. This only Seemed to make her feel even more, but she only hoped that she would be able to go through with it. Alice looked at her as she realized she was nervoused. "Hey, calm down, okay. I know that you can do it, and if it doesn't work, just pull into that rage that you had before." Alice said to her, and she nodded her head, but she knew that she couldn't pull off that rage because it was never hers.
She let out a sigh from her lips as they led her towards the dressing room. She was made to stand like a doll as they draped the various sets of fabric on her bodice. She ended up wearing a sleeveless top with a high collar. It fit her form perfectly, and she watched as they turned towards the bottom skirt next.
She watched as they draped it over her and laid misty emphasis on her wisst. They layered it several times, and she watched as it trained on the gown. She gasped at the sight of what they had been able to pull off, and she had to admit that they were beyond talented. She had to give them that.
"Now this is what I'm talking about. Once you walk into that place, they will not be able to take their eyes off you, and they will be forced to stare at the beauty that is you." She said to her with a wide smile on her face.
Amelia looked over at herself as she nodded her head in the mirror. She knew that she had to keep herself. This was only the start, and she would be able to make it out alive. Once they were done, she was left back towards the vanity, and she felt several eyes on her. She hears low mutters, and she does her best to ignore them.
She made her way to the chair and sat down. "Now for your make up. It is a Water Kingdom tradition to use face paint and make symbols on the skin. But since you are from the earth kingdom, I will incorporate earth symbols into it instead. As for your hair, there is already enough attention on your dress, and I don't want to pull away from that. So I will keep it in a bun. I will share a small clip from the air kingdom. You will be a sight to behold, and you will be the very embodiment of all four nations in your own subtle way." She said to her, and she couldn't help but smile.
She watched as they hurried to finish it up, and she gasped as she took in the sight of her self in the mirror.
"And now you are ready to go."
