Chapter 71

Chapter 71
Marie’s POV

On the 8th day, Bliss and I prepared ourselves for our flight. We booked the rooftop as usual, climbed up the ceiling and then Bliss transformed into his true self; a dragon bird. Huge enough to support my weight without crashing down.

We started our journey early in the day because it was going to be a long flight. We wanted to get to the place in the night, where nobody will see us fly in. We will surprise the king and everyone in the morning. I couldn’t wait to see the look of despair on Scarlett’s face once I returned. She will rue the day she messed with me

We flew mainly above the clouds to avoid being seen by people, they’re capable of shooting us down and getting us killed just to satisfy their curiosity.

The journey was daunting, I was exhausted yet I wasn’t even the one flying, I wonder how Bliss felt having to support my weight and fly at the same time. I will make sure to reward him when we return home. Once I become the queen of the South he will be untouchable, he can do whatever he likes.

By the time we got to Silvermoon the sun had set, Bliss was exhausted and his wings were giving out but we hadn’t come up with a solid idea on how to make our entry into the city, but we had to land and rest.

“Where do we land?” He asked.
“Let’s try a less guarded area,” I replied. We landed at a library, but the place wasn’t as free as we had imagined it would be. My missing posters were all over the place.

I gasped, we had to leave before I was found here, I didn’t want Jack or anyone from the pack house to know of my arrival just yet. Nobody would believe that I was shot and sent out of the pack if I was found in the city, but I needed to be the victim that I was, so Jack would send Scarlett away. She was messing with all my plans and I would have to get rid of her if I wanted to take Jack down.

“Let’s get out of here!” I instructed and jumped on Bliss’ back, he took flight one more time with no destination in mind.

“Let’s hide in my room at the pack house for now and rest for a while.”
“What if we get discovered? That’s risky,” Bliss argued.

“We will go through the window. I didn't lock it.” I replied.
In about five minutes, we crash landed into my room through the window, but our troubles were far from over,

We found ourselves face to face with Becky, the second lady of this pack. She had opened my drawers and had scattered my belongings all over the place. I don’t know what she wanted but I was angry to see her in my space. She jerked up to her face as we all took our stances bracing ourselves for a fight. For a minute no one spoke, I guess we were all waiting for the other to throw the first punch.

“What are you doing here?” She queried us.

“I should be asking you that,” I replied.
She stared at Bliss with shock, “I knew there was something fishy about the owl I shot in the forest.” She remarked.

“So it was you!” I yelled and charged at her,
Bliss shifted back into a man which must’ve left the second lady in shock, she staggered backwards with her mouth open.

“You were the one who spied on the king and I in the woods that night, right?” I said finally solving my puzzle. She only knows about this because it was her!
“You don’t belong here! Leave this pack as fast as you came, you won’t take down anymore of our Alphas.”

I noticed that as she was talking she was slowly moving to the exit, I can’t let her slip away not with how much she knows, it would be over for all over for me and Bliss.
I blew red hot flames towards the door scaring her away,
“Get her Bliss!”

Bliss pounced on her and transformed into a huge version of an ostrich, then pierced the space between her shoulder with his beak.

Blood gushed out as she fell lifeless on the floor, we had to take her body out of her, she can’t die in my room that would mess with my plans. I had to think fast.
“Bliss take her to the groves outside the pack house , if her body is not found tonight they will find it in the morning.”

“What about you?”
“Don’t worry about me, someone has to clean up the mess.” I replied.

“Please don’t get caught!” Bliss begged before lifting her body and flew off with it. I had a few seconds to rearrange this crime scene before anyone stormed in looking for her.

The moment they were gone, I stuffed everything back into their respective drawers and took some clothes out of my drawer to wipe her blood off the floor. Now I had to burn them to get rid of evidence which I did but just as I was about to clean up some more and get the place in order when I heard footsteps. I needed a place to hide as quickly as possible. I would have jumped out the window but that would be dangerous, so I squeezed myself in the closet and blended in with the clothes.
