Chapter 64 Elara's POV
"You are just a pregnant omega with delusions of importance. You don't get to tell me what to do."
"I'm telling you to stop terrorizing people who can't fight back. That is not maintaining discipline that is being a bully."
"A bully?" Selena laughed.
"That is rich coming from you. You have done nothing but cause problems since you came back.”
“You interfere with pack business, you undermine authority. You act like you have some special status when everyone knows you're just Kaden's charity case."
The servants watching gasped and some looked at me with pity. Others with curiosity, waiting to see how I would respond.
"I would rather be a charity case than a poisonous snake," I said quietly.
Selena's face flushed red. "What did you just call me?"
"You heard me you poison people, you frame people. You abuse anyone weaker than you. That makes you a snake."
"How dare you-"
"How dare I do that? Tell the truth? Stand up to you? Refuse to let you terrorize innocent people?"
"You have no idea what you are dealing with," Selena hissed, moving closer. "No idea what I'm capable of."
"I know exactly what you're capable of. I remember everything now. They poisoned the offer to pay me to abort all of it."
The servants whispered more urgently now. Clearly they hadn't known about the abortion offer.
Selena's eyes narrowed. "You should have taken that money when you had the chance. It was a generous offer more than someone like you deserves."
"Someone like me?”
"Nobody, a servant , an omega who got pregnant by an Alpha who doesn't even want her."
The words stung, but I refused to show it. "Kaden wants this child. That's all that matters."
"Oh please he feels guilty, that's not the same as wanting. He's going through the motions because his wolf won't let him abandon his offspring. But you? You're just the inconvenient vessel carrying his heir."
"That's not true."
"Isn't it? Has he claimed you publicly? Announced you as his mate? Made any official declaration?"
Selena smiled cruelly. "No. Because he's ashamed of you. He'll take the child and raise it properly, but you? You'll be discarded the moment the baby is born."
Something inside me snapped.
I had been holding back, trying to be reasonable. Been attempting to handle this situation with grace and maturity.
But I was done.
"You need to stop," I said, my voice dropping to something dangerous.
"Stop hurting people, stop spreading lies, stop making everyone around you miserable just because you can't have what you want."
"Or what? What are you going to do about it, omega?"
"I'm going to make you stop."
Selena laughed. "You? Make me stop? That's adorable. You have no power here, no authority. No-"
Something erupted from me.
I didn't know what it was and didn't understand it. But I felt it surge through my body like electricity, building in my chest and radiating outward.
The air in the room became heavy. Oppressive.
Selena's laughter cut off abruptly and her eyes went wide.
Around us, the servants who had been watching suddenly gasped. Some grabbed their throats, others sank to their knees.
"What-" Selena tried to speak but couldn't. Her hand went to her neck, her face turning red.
I felt it then felt what was happening.
I was choking all of them not with my hands, but with something else. Some invisible force that was pressing down on everyone in the room.
Luna aura.
The words came to me from nowhere: this was Luna aura, the power an Alpha's mate could wield over pack members. The ability to command submission through sheer force of will.
But I wasn't trying to command anyone. I wasn't even trying to use this power. It was just happening.
Selena dropped to her knees, gasping for air that wouldn't come. Her perfect composure completely shattered terror filled her eyes.
The servants were on the ground now, all of them struggling to breathe. Some were crying. Others looked like they might pass out.
"Stop," Someone gasped.
"Please... stop..."
But I didn't know how to stop and didn't know how I'd started this in the first place. The power kept building and kept pressing down harder.
Selena's face was turning purple. Her hands clawed at her throat uselessly.
And somewhere deep inside me, a dark voice whispered that she deserved this. That she'd tried to kill my baby. That she'd terrorized these people for too long. That the world would be better without her.
"Elara!"
The shout came from the doorway.
Kaden stood there, his eyes wide with shock and something that might have been fear.
"Elara, stop! You are killing them!"
His voice cut through whatever had taken hold of me.the power released all at once.
Selena collapsed completely, gasping and coughing. Around the room, servants sucked in desperate breaths, tears streaming down their faces.
I stared at my hands, trembling. "I didn't... I didn't mean to..."
Kaden was beside me in seconds, his hands on my shoulders. "Are you okay? What happened?"
"I don't know we were arguing and then I just... it just happened. I didn't try to do that."
He looked at Selena, who was still on the ground, one hand pressed to her throat. "Did she threaten you?"
"She said terrible things to me about the baby. About you and I just... I got angry and then this happened."
Damian appeared in the doorway, his medical bag already in hand. He took one look at the scene and immediately went to check on the servants.
"Everyone's alive," he said after a quick assessment. "Shaken and scared, but alive."
Kaden turned to the servants who were slowly getting to their feet. "Leave all of you and don't speak of what happened here, that's an order."
They fled without a word.
Only Selena remained, still on the ground, staring at me with absolute terror.
"You," She whispered, her voice raw. "You are not just an omega. What are you?"
I had no answer because I had no idea what I was anymore.
I only knew that I had just used a power I didn't understand. A power that shouldn't have been possible for someone who wasn't officially recognized as Luna.
A power that had nearly killed everyone in that room. Including the woman who wanted me dead.
