Chapter 216 Birth of the Eclipse Heir

Chapter 216 Birth of the Eclipse Heir
“This child’s cry carries the same resonance we felt the night Valerius fell Selene,” Old Kael whispered. His voice came rough and unsteady from the warm corner of the east tower chamber.
He leaned heavily on his plain iron staff. The permanent black scar across his left arm stood tense and stiff. Behind him a great stone fire burned steady holding back the killing chill of the outer ice desert that tried to seep through every crack in the glass windows. Selene stood beside the oak bed wrapping the newly cleaned small form in soft white wool.
Arkan knelt close gripping Diana’s hand tight. Cold sweat still glistened along her temples. Her breath came in short ragged gasps after labor that had drained every reserve of strength. Yet her mismatched eyes one gold one purple shone bright with overwhelming pure joy.
“Let me see her Arkan,” Diana said weakly but with clear firm purpose. She needed to know for herself.
Arkan helped her sit up slowly. His own eyes glistened with tears that broke through every hard habit learned as a border fighter. “She is strong Diana. Her pulse beat steady and sure from the very first instant.”
Selene moved with calm measured steps and laid the baby girl gently into Diana’s waiting arms. “Look closely at what you hold child. The earth never lies about those born to balance its fate.”
Diana leaned down to gaze at the little face that had just quieted from crying. When the infant’s lids lifted slowly every person in the room froze in sudden shock.
Her eyes carried a striking mark of destiny. The left iris ran deep violet while the right blazed clear gold. It was the perfect reverse mirror of Diana’s own gaze.
More proof of the Three Pillars showed when the wool wrap shifted slightly. A faint golden‑yellow mark curved along her left wrist. Its woven pattern matched exactly the shape and texture of the black scar Old Kael bore from long‑ago void poison.
“She bears your foundation mark Kael,” Selene said softly her fingers trembling as she brushed the baby’s cheek.
Old Kael limped two slow steps closer. He studied the golden line on his granddaughter’s arm with piercing sharp focus. “This is no ordinary birthmark. That brass‑toned skin acts as a natural neutral shield. Her very blood was shaped by the earth itself to repel corrupted magic from the moment she drew breath.”
“What name have you chosen Diana,” Arkan asked roughly bending low to kiss her forehead with deep love.
“Elena,” Diana answered clearly without hesitation. “It means silver dawn. She will stand guard and keep the Eclipse clan steady long after our bodies return to this land.”
Leo and Valeska entered quickly through the side door. Leo’s Alpha armor creaked as he neared the bed. Valeska set aside her Luna crown for a moment out of respect for the new life. Warmth and quiet strength filled the chamber. The union of two hues in Elena’s eyes confirmed the third generation of Silver Moon had arrived safe and whole.
“The outer intelligence division will mark this birth as a new victory Arkan,” Valeska said with the calm authority of a Luna watching her people grow.
“Do not let the celebrations make the barracks careless Valeska,” Old Kael cut in bringing all focus sharply back to military reality. “This child carries immense power. Remnants of the outer council’s network will sense it if we do not add extra brass barriers around the tower at once.”
“Jace has already tightened patrols through sector four Father,” Leo replied firmly. “Elena’s safety stands above all else.”
Diana pulled the bundle closer drinking in the warmth radiating from Elena’s small form now moving gently inside the wool wrap. A low steady hum flowed between their pulses easing every last trace of dizziness from Diana’s mind.
Peace held the warm room for only a fraction of a second more.
Little Elena suddenly drew a deep sharp breath then opened her tiny mouth to release her first true cry loud and full through the air.
WAAAAH!
It did not carry the stone‑breaking force of an Alpha’s Voice. Instead it sent a massive unseen shock through every mechanism and line built into the tower itself.
BUZZZT
In a single heartbeat every flame in every oil lamp along the marble walls went out completely at once. Absolute darkness swallowed the chamber for three full seconds followed by a sharp cold hiss. The remaining oil froze instantly drained by a vast pull of neutral energy flowing outward from Elena’s body. Fear rose fast as all understood how great and raw her hidden strength truly was and how deeply it might shake the very laws of the northern earth.
