Remember me?

Remember me?
Glenda.
Of course, it had to be Glenda.
The same woman he did not want to see. At the very least, Zeran was not here. Chase was not sure if he could hold himself up if Zeran was to show up.
These days, he had been more in touch with certain parts of himself he never knew existed, like the part that felt guilty or the part that knew he had to apologize for him to be worthy of forgiveness.
These were emotions that made him believe that he would not be able to fight Zeran. Initially, he thought he was just a best friend that betrayed him. Nothing new that the world had never heard before. But to come to the truth of how his own ancestors had been, how his father had treated Zeran’s pack?
Yeah, he would surely apologize rather than actually fight.
So yeah, even though he did not want to see Glenda, he would rather see her than see Zeran.
Chase took in a deep breath and kept walking forward. His eyes glanced around the arena; the werewolves present were not changed, so why couldn’t they leave on their own?
Was it magic?
“I am here for my people,” he said coldly. “Hand them to me, and I will not get to harm you.”
Glenda glanced behind him. Kiara stood tall, and Damon’s eyes flashed with danger. He was ready to rip Glenda’s head off, ready to absolutely destroy her.
Glenda nodded her head. “So you want to take your people, and I should just hand them over to you?” She glanced over her shoulder at the people that stood behind her.
“Isn’t that what they call entitlement issues? They’re not yours anymore; they are not your people.”
“As long as I’m not dead, they’re still my people!”
Glenda jumped slightly from the yell, but that shock turned into a smile. “Our plan is to completely eliminate all the possible werewolves, the pregnant ones to the ones alive. We will kill them all.”
Behind Chase, Kiara furrowed her eyebrows. “Why? It’s not as if they were the ones responsible for what happened.”
“But they’re werewolves, aren’t they?” Glenda shot at her. “That alone is a crime to me. We’re seeking to destroy the wolves, and if we succeed, the witches are next.”
Kiara scoffed. “So you want to be the only one alive?”
Glenda nodded her head.
Chase thought for a moment. “Last time I heard, aren’t you supposed to be a witch?”
Glenda nodded her head. “We’re only killing witches who refuse to see the light.”
“And for wolves? What if they see the light?” Damon asked.
“It doesn’t matter; all werewolves would be killed whether or not they see the light.”
“What the hell does this light mean?” Kiara frowned.
Chase and Damon wordlessly glanced at her before their expressions dropped out of disappointment.
Kiara rolled her eyes at them, then stepped forward. She stood right in front of Glenda. “Take the wolves away. I’ll handle her.”
Glenda was the only one safeguarding the arena. And when faced with the three of them, she looked to be at a disadvantage.
However, was this an oversight of the vampires or were they placed here on purpose?
Whatever the case was, Kiara seemed to be really confident in her own abilities, as she took predatory steps to face Glenda. Her eyes were sharp with killing intent.
Glenda stepped back, her gaze changing. She knew Kiara, the woman who had treated her when she came to Chase for the first time. There, Kiara had showed her kindness, even risking using her powers to heal her memory.
She knew Kiara was a witch. A strong one.
However, there was a difference from when she saw Kiara last. Now, she looked different. Soulless.
“Remember me?” Kiara smirked.
Glenda nodded her head, fascinated. “You look different. I can hardly recognize you,” she lied through her teeth.
Kiara scoffed. “I’ll help you with your memory.”
Before she took a step, a ball of fire shot out from Glenda’s hand, straight toward her. Kiara only tilted to the other side, easily avoiding the flame. She rushed towards Glenda, wrapped her fingers around her neck, and threw her across the room.
Meanwhile, Chase and Damon worked quickly, trying to gather all the werewolves and their children and take them away. The wolves worked with them. The little children were assisted, the mothers and daughters were led by their brothers or their fathers or their husbands as they all made their way out.
They didn’t wait to be told what to do but rushed and acted with agility. Chase rushed to the front and started to guide them, leading them to the entrance they had used to come in.
However, as they were making their way outside, they were instantly joined by some vampire guards. This one, Chase handled. He ran ahead, stepping on the walls, and then his claws came down on the vampire, tearing him to shreds.
Following that vampire was another one, and just like that, they kept attacking, and he kept slashing them, making sure he was fast enough to save them from the vampires.
The place was rowdy, the smell of blood pungent, the screams from Glenda as Kiara showed her the powers of a hybrid. She was taking her sweet time to kill her, or she really couldn’t kill her.
Was there also a rule stopping witches from killing themselves?
Chase thought to himself as his claws sank into the thick flesh of an incoming vampire.
He guided the people to the exit, and they started to rush out, quick on their steps and with agility.
“As you’re stepping out, start transforming!” he yelled. He could already hear the vampires shouting and making their way over. They were, and he needed to leave. The sun that was their best bet was slowly sinking, and with it gone, the vampires would be able to pursue them.
“Transform now!” he growled out.
He was the Alpha, after all. The growl from him sent the wolves down on their knees, as their primal and original form was summoned out.
The only ones left were the kids that were yet to get their wolves, but luckily for them, they could ride on the backs of their parents.
Damon was already out. And so Chase tapped on his back: “Guard them. Take them to the village of the healers.”
“And what about you?” Damon inquired.
He had to stay. He had to bring Kiara back to Dali.
“Just go.”
Damon didn’t wait to be told again. He turned around, leapt into the air, and transformed into a wolf.
As for Chase, he stood there waiting patiently for Kiara to come in. He tapped the ground with his feet, anxiety taking a hold on him.
And at that moment, his head became too heavy for him to hold, but at the same time, he could not hold a single thought. His eyes closed.
“Chase…”
He followed the direction of the clubs.
“Chase…?”
His body moved, his eyes closed, his entire being listless. He was completely blacked out.
Meanwhile, Glenda stood at the side, blood at the side of her mouth. And her lips moved.
“Chase…”
Standing there and watching this, she was so close to killing Glenda, but she had told Kiara that she wanted to do one last thing, something to show Kiara.
And this was it.
That Chase was under her control.
Kiara’s jaw dropped.
