Chapter 53: Their disgusting secrets

"Don't let me kill you like I did to his first mate years ago," the bitch threatens Luna Talia.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All along former, alpha Eric was using Talia in making Mr. Bates think she was his mate, his rightful Luna. I couldn't believe that he could be so tough hearted to his own son. I thought he love him. He was a cold-hearted evil bitch. I begin to hope for alpha Anton to discover their lies so he could severely punish them both. They both disgusted me.

"Shhhh..," Luna Talia hushes the bastard. "We'll talk later when it feels safe to."

"My son is not here, he's at the prison dealing with some wolves who tried to sneak into our land, so we have no issue talking right now."

"The maid," Luna Talia again said to him.

"It seems she's not here, for she would be in the kitchen and have seen us the moment we open the door."

Talia nodded, and she begins to cry.

Former alpha Eric grabs her by her shoulders and shook her in his arms. He informs her to stop crying. She stops crying at once. I started to feel sorry for her, it seems it was Eric who was the one forcing her to carry out his dirty plan.

"I'm sorry that am ruining things for you," she cries.

"You better be," Eric warns her as he removes his hands from around her shoulders. "I pay you good money to suck up to my son, but you choose to return to your land to sleep around with your stupid, weak, loser mate."

"I'm sorry," she again cries to him. "It won't happen again, it's just so hard to ignore the strong feelings when I feel for my mate and during that time it's hard to fake sex with Anton."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was quite shocking to discover that she was faking her love for him when I knew that Mr. Bates was trying to do everything to get back the love he had for her. Alpha Anton didn't deserve it, he deserves real love. He needed someone to love him the same way he did, and it was not her.

"Well, if it's so, I guess I will have to get rid of you and strip you from your title as the Luna of this pack."

"No," Talia said loudly. "I'll do anything to hold the title as the Luna even if I have to sacrifice my mate," Luna Talia said. "I love being the Luna."

I again was shocked. I couldn't believe I ever did feel sorry for her. She was just as evil as Eric. Alpha Anton didn't deserve someone like her. She wasn't worth fighting for. I couldn't hear any more from those evil bitches. I slowly begin to step backward heading to the front door and leave before they knew I was in the house hearing their horrible conversation.

My eyes open terrifying hitting against something from behind, a flower vase I didn't see. I froze instantly and begin to panic wondering what to do.

What am I going to do? I think frighteningly. If Eric discovers that I have overheard their conversation he will surely kill me. A quick thought came to mind, and I decided to lower myself and took up the broken pieces of flower vase acting like I just got inside of the house. It was a wise thing to do. I beg the moon goddess as I did, hoping that they fall for it.

I remain to stay calm as I heard them heading into the hall quickly.

"Good morning, Mr. Eric and ho... Hello Luna," I said trying hard to hide my nervousness.

They were both were surprised to see me.

Be calm, be calm or you'll be dead, I repeated five times within my head preventing my body from shaking before I could stand up.

"Sorry that I broke your vase,” I apologize to the Luna as I found the courage to stand without shaking. I didn't want anyone of them to become suspicious of me.

They both remain to stare at me, speechless. Within their eyes, I could see worries. Great fear if I've overheard their conversation.

"I help myself in to wait on the alpha, the maid gave me the key," I took out the key from my pocket.

"Oh, morning," alpha Eric greeted me.

The Luna just waved at me.

I was trying very hard to act as if everything was normal and that I had just got here. They seem to be buying it. I hope, I beg the moon goddess inside.

"Where is Pamela?" Luna Talia asks me.

"She had something at home she has to do urgently, and she gave me the key to inform the alpha when he gets home before her," I told him. "If I knew the house wasn't empty, I wouldn't have helped myself inside," I said as I gave a smile.

As I did, I fight hard to not make it seems as if I was nervous.

"It's okay," Luna Talia answers me.

"I just got here as well anyways," I nodded.

I too nodded. I soon felt relieved inside. My plan was working, and they seem to believe that I'd just got here.

I bent down onto the ground and took up the broken pieces of the vase. I hurriedly carried it to the bin in the kitchen carrying throwing them away. Soon I was returning with a broom and a dust holder I was lucky to find against the wall of the kitchen. It seems Pamela had forgotten to place it at its rightful place. I hurriedly took it up and rush back into the hallway. I slow down as I got there. Luna Talia and Eric were still there. I didn't understand why. I again begin to worry if they were buying what I had said or was just pretending they were.

I slowly walk over to them and begin to sweep. I glance at them seeing their eyes fixed on me the entire time. I hurriedly clean the place and return to the kitchen placing down the broom and dust holder where I found them. I didn't want to return into the hallway knowing they were still there. I was afraid but I had to. I took a deep breath and return to the hallway. I was happy to longer see them. They both were upstairs.

I hurriedly went into the living room and sat down. Great worries were killing me as I did. I couldn't help to think that they were probably upstairs plotting on trying to get rid of me. I didn't want to be alone with them knowing how cold they were.

Thankfully, I heard the door open. I immediately got out of the living room to see if it was Pamela and was too glad that I was not going to be alone anymore with the black-hearted wolves. I was surprised to see it was not Pamela alone. Mr. Bates was also here. I froze seeing him. He did the same as he enters.

Mr. Bates was attired in black sweat-pant and a t-shirt. He looked worn out. As I was about to tell him the reason why I was at his home early his Luna heard him and came running downstairs.

"Babe!" she calls as she runs down the stairs and jumps in his arms wrapping her arms around him. I turn my head aside and follow Pamela into the kitchen giving her the key. I couldn't stand to look at Talia acting like a hypocrite.

Pamela took the key from me. I stood in the kitchen waiting for Talia to leave so I could speak to Mr. Bates privately.

"Nala," I heard Mr. Bates call me. My body jumps surprisingly by his call, and I immediately exit the kitchen.

Tala was still there. I wanted to frown seeing her, but I stop myself before I could. I felt sorry for what she and Eric were doing but I didn't want to get involved. It pains my heart to hide this from the alpha, but it was the best thing to do. Who knows what disaster will happen in my life if I should tell the alpha the conversation I overheard with his so call Luna and dad, former alpha Eric.

As I approach the alpha, thankfully he informs his Luna he’ll see her upstairs. She kisses him hard before leaving. I wanted to puke disgusted by her treacherous lips on his.

"Follow me," Mr. Bates told me.

I glance behind me and saw Talia watching me as she went upstairs. I turn my head back around following the alpha. We both were soon in the living room.

"You're here early," the alpha told me as we both stood still.

I nodded. As I was going to inform him the reason why I was. He stops me.

"You won't be working with me something, I'll send one of men to let you know when I need you, " the alpha told me as he exits the living room leaving me.

"You maybe go home now," this was the last word I heard him say after he headed off upstairs.

There was nothing I could say nor do but to just watch him. I obeyed him and immediately left his house while sadness covers my heart. I felt sorry for the alpha. His life was a lie. His Luna didn't love him, and I doubt that his father did.

As I walked home, I couldn't help thinking about what if his evil father didn't prevent us from finding each other. Alpha Anton would be living the life he wanted. I glance behind me no longer seeing the alpha's gate. I was now heading along the road to Dr. Charles's home. I was soon frightened to see the former alpha, Eric standing along the road. I was so surprised to see him. I didn't see him when he exited the house. I held my head straight away from him and remain to walk while my inside boils not wanting him to say anything to him.

"Mr. Eric," I call him as I pass him. I increase the speed of my walking as I did.

I exhale heavily happy that he didn't try to hold a conversation with me.

"Ha!" I scream out feeling a hand around my neck, grabbing me tightly. I stop immediately and turn my head. My eyes widen staring into the bitch dark eyes that were filled with rage.
