The Royal Supernatural Academy - Arrival

The Royal Supernatural Academy - Arrival
The twins were nervously quiet as the limo pulled up outside the gates of the Royal Supernatural Academy. Michelle looked down at her jeans and top, made a mental note to make sure not to bring too much attention to herself.  “Penny for your thoughts, Kiddo?” Dominique rested his arm around her shoulders. “I just don’t want to be the freak of this academy, Dad. High School was hard enough. Silver needs to go run; she is restless and feeling uneasy about being here.” Michelle looked between her mom and dad before looking at Drake. “Don’t worry, we’ll go with you to take Silver for a run. Fenrir, Anubis, and Hildwulf are also feeling a bit uneasy.” Drake looked at her with a soft smile playing on his lips, knowing his sister was not wrong for feeling uneasy.

Remus and Lupus spoke at the same time, knowing that her unease was more about being bullied in high school, “Hey, we’re with you all the way. No one will come near you. You are the strongest being in this whole place. They are just jealous, ok. We got you.” They said, pointing at each other and at Drake.

The 4 of them got out and got their bags before any of the security could. Celine stepped out and spoke to the security, telling them it was ok, the kids can handle things from here onwards. The others stepped out, and they all greeted the 4 teenagers, knowing that by turning 18 this year, their college years started as of today, and that they needed to find their own footing.

The boys flanked Michelle, walking through the academy gates towards the great hall. A senior student walked up to them with a kind smile on her face, “Good morning, welcome to Royal Supernatural Academy. My name is Erin, and I will be your guide for this morning.” Her voice was soft and calm. She had purple eyes with silver and purple hair. It was the first thing that Michelle noticed, and she knew she would feel at ease with Erin around. “Hi, I’m Michelle, this is my brother Drake, and our cousins, Remus and Lupus.” She held out her hand, and Erin gladly shook it in return. The boys took turns to shake her hand as well, and she walked them to the registration table.

“So, this is where you find your room keys, a map of the school, and general information about your classes and which dorms you will be in.” She looked for their keys but could not see them in the pile of folders on the table. “Imm, I don’t mean to sound unprepared or anything, but you guys are werewolves, right?” She blushed at having to ask something she could normally pick up on when shaking hands with anyone, as it is one of her gifts as a witch.

“Yeah, we are. Perhaps, maybe look in the small pile to your left,” Drake smiled politely, picking up on her confusion. As she looked at the only 4 folders in the small pile to her left, she saw the Royal Seal, and her face paled immediately. “Your Highnesses, I apologize for my ignorance. I can normally pick up what species someone is, but I should have realised who you were earlier.” Lumus, not liking to be treated any differently from anyone else, just like his cousins, spoke out, “It’s ok, no need to apologise. Please call us by our given names. We are just normal students; we don’t like unnecessary attention.”

Erin relaxed a bit, but her flushed cheeks remained red until she had shown the boys their rooms in their dorm. While she was walking with Michelle to her dorm to show her to her room, Michelle kept sneaking a look at her. “What did you mean by you can normally pick on what species someone is?” Erin smiled broadly and spoke with pride, “I am the first witch to have been invited to attend the RSA. My mom is the head of her covenant, and we are what people call white witches. But I must say, I feel a different energy from you, unlike your brother and cousins. Yes, I can feel that they are werewolves, but they also seem to be hybrids of something I have never come across, except maybe for Queen Celine. I met her the first day I walked through the academy gates. She is something and someone special. I wish to follow in her footsteps of keeping peace between the various species, as it keeps us all from falling into war. The last war brought a lot of heartache to a lot of people.” She had a fleeting sadness that passed so quickly through her eyes that Michelle almost missed it.

“Well, here we are, this is your room. Unlike your cousins and brother, who each have a roommate, all in that one giant room,” Erin laughed while saying that, “You only have one roommate. She is a lovely young lady, the same age as you, and she is from Covenant.” As she was about to open the door, it swung open with a young witch, who had silver eyes, long blue and silver hair, with the biggest smile on her face. “Hi, I’m Stella. Wow, your aura is so strong. I can just see that we will be great friends.”

Michelle stepped into the room, greeted Erin, and smiled at Stella. “Do you also know how to tell what species people are?” Stella smiled broadly while nodding her head. “That, and I can also read auras. Like yours tells me that you are powerful, and that you also keep to yourself most of the time.” With that, they settled into unpacking and starting to get to know each other before heading out to meet the boys for dinner.
