Chapter 84 Vampires

Chapter 84 Vampires
Elena's POV

“And why do we need to go to another country for just a trip,” I asked, really confused.

“Because I need you to get away from all this, I know you are hiding things from me,” he said.

I bit my lips.

“I'm not angry, I know you will tell me when you are ready, right I just don't want you to be away from all this,” he said.

“But can't we go somewhere close? What if something happened? I worried about Ashley and everyone Liam, I don't know if I can go knowing they might not be safe.”

“Ashley is already on her way to our pack, after how you looked yesterday, I decided she could send a few days here, where I know she will be safer.”

I couldn't get enough of this man.

“You need this, Elena, you need some time away from everything.”

How could I resist when I was looking into those hazel eyes.

“Okay then, so when are we leaving?”

“Tomorrow morning.”

I was surprised how close it was but I wasn't going to complain.

“Okay, well I need to go downstairs and see Sarah, she sounded worried when she came to check on me,” I said about to leave.

“Hold in,” he said as he pulled me by my arm and kissed me.

“Niw you can go.”

I moved back and saw that my lipstick was on his mouth now.

I wanted to tell him but I didn't, I mean since he wanted a kiss so bad then he can wear some of me on him.

I smiled and left the room.

“Finally, she decided to wake from her beauty sleep,” Clara joked as I walked down the stairs.

“Hello to you too Clara,” I said.

“I saved you some chicken soup, well I actually asked them to make it for you,” Sarah said as she walked towards us.

“Thanks,” I said.

“How are you? Sarah told me what happened,” Clara asked with a concerned look now.

I turned to Sarah.

“Well, you know I can't keep my mouth shut and besides, she was asking me a lot of questions when she noticed Liam was refusing to answer her.”

I sighed.

“I'm fine Clara, I was just tired that why.”

“But isn't it strange, you don't have a wolf but your eyes and body glows some times. Aren't you curious about what you are?” Clara asked as she looked like she was trying to find a hidden treasure in my body.

“No, not really,” I lied.

“Well I would be, I wonder,” she moved closer to me and almost stared into my soul.

“What?” I said as I moved back.

“Nothing, I was thinking about you being a vampire but that way out of the options.”

“I thought vampires needed blood to survive,” Sarah said.

“Not all, I read there was once a time when vampires could live without blood but it was only the special ones of course, the one who were blessed with strange powers,” she looked at me again and so did Sarah.

“I've never heard that before, what happened to them?” Sarah asked before I could.

“It didn't say, just that they went extinct, some say they are still alive, just in hiding, safe from the outside world. Elena could be one of them.”

If only they knew we were something closer to home. Ayra popped her head up.

Oh you are finally awake.

Yes.

“Well Elena what do you think?” Sarah asked.

“About what?”

“I was saying that vampires can't be mates with werewolves. It's never been done.” She said with confidence.

“Well, it actually has happened, the mate bond doesn't only create mates within it's own species, it's very open. It's just that those who mated with our species, their children were too strange, too powerful and most of the supernatural works feared them so much they killed them. That's why everyone just sticks to what they know. Wolves with wolves, vampires with vampires.”

“Wow, that's something,” I said.

“Yeah let's just say I was a lover of history in college,” she smiled.

“I want to know more,” Sarah said as she grabbed Clara's arm.

“Why don't we ever talk to the vampires?”

“Well, mostly because some vampires, especially the crazy ones had killed some werewolves in the past, they drank their blood, saying that it gave them some kind of rush, like drugs.” She looked disgusted now. “But the main reason why we just decided to go our separate ways were because they were to darn prideful and arrogant,” she scoffed.

“They said they were the superior beings and so they were done with the rest of us, obnoxious rats,” she gritted her teeth.

“Where did they get that kind of stupid idea from,” Sarah said as she rolled her eyes.

“Who knows,” Clara sighed. “But hey, let's leave them alone, we don't know if Elena's one if them, if she is then I think vampires can be cool.”

I felt like she was teasing at this point. “I think that enough about me being a vampire,” I turned to Sarah. “Aren't you supposed to be sparing with Scott and you,” I looked at Clara. “Promised to go to the orphanage with me today.”

“Oh, yeah, I would never forget,” she said but I knew she did.

“Well let's go.”

“Aren't you going to eat first, I don't want you fainting half way there, I can't imagine what Liam would do to me if that happened,” she smiled.

My stomach growled. “Okay then.”

We headed towards the dining hall.

“So tell me,” Sarah said to Clara. “Why do you think Elena's a vampire really?”

Oh goodness, this is going to be a long day.
