Chapter 82 Decisions
Elena's POV
I couldn't stop smiling as I walked out of Liam's office.
I thought I would have gotten used to him saying I love you but it always made my heart skip a beat.
“Elena!,” I jumped as I saw Clara running over to me.
“Was I too loud? Sorry I had been calling you but I guess you did hear.”
“Sorry, my mind was.. occupied,” I said as I felt my cheeks getting hot.
Clara noticed it to and she smiled as she looked between me and Liam's office.
“I'm surprised he hasn't marked you yet,” she smirked.
I know she meant it as a joke but I was also beginning to get worried. At first I thought it was because he was waiting for me but the more I thought about it. What if it was something else? Did he maybe still have doubts.
My chest felt tied with that thought.
Clara must have noticed my expression.
“Hey don't think about it too much, he probably hasn't done it because he's waiting for your permission or something, you know how men can be slow,” she said as she rolled her eyes.
I nodded. “Did you want to see him?”
“Oh yeah, I had some information for him,” she said and I was curious now as I looked at her.
“I will tell you later the walls have ears you know,” she whispered and I nodded.
I left her and went up to my room. I felt a little sweaty so I took my bath.
I planned to visit the kids at the orphanage, I wanted to know how Jane was doing.
I fell back on the bed and told myself I would just lay for a minute until my eyes fluttered shut.
I opened them again but I wasn't in my room.
I looked over at all the bodies surrounding me.
My chest felt heavy but at the same time lighter.
My whole body felt light from all the power that was coming off me. It made me feel euphoric.
That was until I looked at my hands.
They were covered with blood.
I looked closer at the bodies. I remembered them now.
The men who had killed my friends, my mom, my mate.
But I didn't actually know them.
No I was in a dream again, Ciara's life.
I moved over from the bodies and walked to my friend.
I pulled her to my body and she moved.
“You are alive, just hold on I will send help,” I said as a small part of me felt hope growing.
I looked around at the remaining pack members gathering around.
“Please someone has to do something, she's dying,” my voice cracked but no one moved.
“It's okay,” she said as she touched my face.
“Myra?” I said as her eyes grew dim and her hand fell.
“No, no,no no! Please don't go, just hold on, just—” I said but she was already gone.
I screamed out and cried.
“You did this,” someone said and I rose up my head.
“You are reason why my wife and daughter are gone, they were looking for you," the man said.
I let go of Myra and placed her on the ground.
Did you see the way she moved and killed them all, no one moved like that not even us wolves,” another man said and the others nodded.
The kids who were still alive looked at me with fear as they stood behind their parents.
I felt betrayed.
“We can't let this happen again, Ciara because of your crimes you have been exiled from this pack and therefore a rogue,” the old man with the black hair finally spoke.
I wanted to say something but I couldn't. I was trapped in Ciara's body and it was like I was just there to watch.
I should have felt sad but all I did was laugh.
“Crimes? What crimes did I commit? They took my family from me, my mate! They killed out people and yet I'm blamed. I knew I never like you but now I know it was because you were a spineless fool.” I spat.
“This pack had no use for me anyways so,” I stood up as I looked around, I loved at my mom who still laid on the ground and Kylan and Myra, all dead.
My heart turned to ice as I felt my power whispering to me and soothing my pain.
The pack members moved away as I walked and for some reason that made me feel good.
Ciara turned her back and suddenly I wasn't her again, I was me.
“This will be your story too, yours is just taking a little bit longer,” she smirked as she walked away.
I wanted to tell her she was wrong but then I was pulled back and my eyes opened to my room.
I was breathing heavily.
Ayra?
I'm here. She said as she stood alert in my mind.
She had gotten bigger. I thought.
I felt relieved. I had tried to reach her in the dream but it's working.
I didn't mean to leave you alone but I couldn't reach you.
It's okay. I said.
I tried to shake off the feeling the dream had given me.
My stomach flipped remembering what Clara had said.
I shook my head. No I wasn't going to lose them.
I don't know if it was the dream making me want to move things faster but I was tired of waiting for Liam to make the first move and mark me.
I was going to do it myself.
I realized that my room was pitch black now.
I saw something move in the dark.
I moved as I ran to the door and someone grabbed me and I screamed.
