Chapter 55 The attack
Elena’s POV
I felt it.
“Hey there love, do you have a problem?” a blond haired man with a sly smile asked me.
I looked back to see him and another man standing a few steps from me.
“No, I'm just going to use the bathroom,” I said.
“Hmm,” he said as he moved closer.
Shit. This wasn’t good, I knew I couldn’t take them even if I tried. My training did not make me that good.
I moved closer to the bathroom. “Well I need to use it now, so bye,” I said as I pushed the door open.
I froze when I saw Ashley on the ground and blood coming out from her side.
“Ashley?” I ran to her. “Those men,” she said and I knew exactly what she meant. I rushed back to the door and locked it.
I stood back as I saw the knob turning and not opening.
“Are you okay, love?” the man asked from outside.
Ashley shook her head and cried quietly.
I looked around trying to find a way out but there was nothing. We were stuck here.
I tried the window but it won’t open.
Ashley groaned and I rushed to her.
“Move to your side,” I said and looked at her wound.
There was silver in her wound, that was why she wasn’t healing.
Fear flowed through me, if I didn’t get her to the hospital soon, she would die.
“I’m dying, aren’t I?” she gave me a weak smile as she tried to breathe through the pain.
“No, you are fine, you will be fine,” I said, trying to convince myself too.
“Open the door bitches, unless you want to end up like your sister in there,” he said.
I took off my jacket and rushed to reach for my phone but I had left it in my purse that was on the table.
This was bad.
I pressed the jacket on the wound. “Hold on to it okay?”
She looked pale now but she still grabbed it.
I looked around the toilet again looking for anything to block the door.
I stopped as something hit the door.
“I asked nicely but I guess you are too much of a bitch to listen,” he pushed the door again.
I moved back and stood in front of Ashley. I reached for my boots and took a small blade out.
I was thankful that I listened to Clara and took a blade with me wherever I went.
They pushed the door again and it looked like it was going to open.
I looked back. Ashley was looking bad and was barely holding on to the jacket.
I held back a sob as I looked back at the door.
The door finally broke down and the two men came in.
“You looked scared, love,” the blond haired man said.
“Fuck you,” I spat.
He came at me and I took my blade, trying to get a hit on him.
I blocked his punch and tried to stab him in the side, that’s when the other guy came up behind me.
Shit. I forgot he was here too.
He grabbed my hair and I screamed as I tried to break free.
The blond haired man punched me in the stomach and I felt sick.
I finally got the chance and I kicked him in his groin and he moved away from me.
I moved around the guy that was grabbing my hair and swung my blade until it finally cut his hand and he let go.
I turned and ran to Ashley but the other grabbed me.
“Let me go!” I screamed. I needed to get back to Ashley. She was dying.
I felt a sharp pain in my neck as the blond haired man stabbed me with something.
“That should do it, the wolfsbane will keep her calm.” He said as the other man slowly let go of me. “Sleep well, love.”
I felt my body growing weak.
No. I shook my head as I tried to get to Ashley.
I moved to her and I froze. “Ashley?” she wasn’t moving, her hand had let go of the jacket.
“No, Ashley? Please wake up,” I cried as I crawled to her.
“I thought you killed her, so she was still moving,” the blond haired man said.
“I did,” the other man said.“As long as she’s dead now, less trouble for us,” the blond haired man said.
“Why did you have to kill her!” I screamed at them as I held onto Ashley.
“She was in the way,” he shrugged.
She was in the way? That was why my sister was dead.
I let go of Ashley and stood up as I felt that same anger come back to me.
“How is she standing?” the other man asked.
I held my blade and moved to him immediately.
“What the—” I slit his throat before he could say anything.
I looked at him as he fell to the floor and choked on his blood.
I looked at the blond haired man. “Stay away from me, you freak!”
I laughed. “So I’m a freak now? Fine then at least you get to be killed by a freak.”
I moved again and this time I stabbed the back of his knee and his arm.
He screamed and fell to the ground. I wanted him to suffer.
I stalked him as he crawled away from me.
“Please don’t kill me, please,” he begged.
“So you are scared, you don’t want to die? Do you think my sister wanted to?” I snapped.
“I’m sorry okay?” he groaned in pain.
“I’m sorry too,” I said as I moved again and I was on him.
I stabbed him all over his body and his screams filled my ears.
I thought about Ashley and I got angrier and kept stabbing even though he wasn’t moving again.
“Elena?” I looked up to see Liam.
“Liam.” I felt relieved.
“Ashley,” I pointed as I sobbed.
“It’s okay, you can drop the blade now,” he said and I looked at my hand and I was still holding the blade.
I dropped it down.
I felt tired immediately, I remembered that the wolfsbane was still in my system.
“Liam.” I said before everywhere went black.
