Chapter 33 The Man in Black 4
Liam’s POV
The drive was too long and I didn’t want to take any chances so I told some of the warriors to go in their wolf form.
“Step on it, Aaron,” I shouted at the driver. Aaron was liked by everyone in the pack and since he was the one in charge as the pack’s head driver, he was fond of everyone. But today I needed him to move a bit faster.
“I can’t go any faster,” he said as he looked at me through the rear view.
“You can’t or you wouldn’t,” I glared at him.
He gulped as sweat rolled down his face. “Sorry, Alpha.”
He stepped on the pedal and we moved a bit faster.
I’ll be damned if I let him get away this time. I thought.
He had come after my mate and killed my men and some who were like friends. The more I thought about it, I became pissed but I needed to calm down before we got there.
We finally made it to Silver Lake pack.
We left the cars in the forest where we regrouped with the others.
We stopped at the border, some wolves were guarding it.
“We need to see Alpha Derrick now,” I said clearly.
One of the men who was easily the tallest moved forward. “I’m sorry but our Alpha is having a meeting with someone else.”
I looked him in the eye, his aura, a dirty green and he looked like it.
He looked up at me and glared.
He might have been the tallest among them, but he still looked small when he came close to me.
I looked back at my team, they were waiting for the order to attack.
“I do not have time for this,” I said using my alpha command, the man flinching back from my power. “Either you move aside and take me to where your Alpha is right now, or I could slit you and your friends' throats right here.”
I increased my power knowing that it was affecting my own pack members.
The other men were on the ground now, gritting their teeth with pain.
“Which will it be?” I looked down at him.
“We will take you, please just stop,” one of the men cried out.
“See that was simple,” I said as I stopped using the alpha command.
The men got up silently and we went into the pack grounds.
The pack members were moving and carrying on with the day like nothing was wrong.
I guess it was a good thing not all of them were like their Alpha.
“If you try anything funny, it won’t end well for you and your friends,” I said when we were getting closer to the pack house.
“Josh, cuff them in silver,” I said when we finally reached the pack house.
The men looked around as they tried to escape but my pack members were faster as they held them down and Josh cuffed them.
“Hide them somewhere,” I said as I walked into the pack house.
I remembered my way to the main hall and went there, my warriors following behind.I pushed the doors open.
Alpha Derrick was standing there glaring at me.
“What is the meaning of this?” he looked around as my warriors circled the hall.I looked around for the man in black, but he wasn’t here.
Shit.
Had he already made a move?
Were we too late?
No, I looked at Alpha Derrick again using my power.
He was dirty green just like his guard at the border but his was more disgusting.
I looked closer and saw some blue in the mix of the green.
He was anxious and scared. He was hiding something.
The man in black was still here.“Where is he?” I sneered.
“I—I don’t know what you are talking about,” he looked away from me.
“Why are you in my pack alpha? It is against the law to come into my pack without permission.”
“Save the speech, I know the law but what I also want to know is why you have been working with a trafficker,Alpha Derrick?”
He looked pale now as he tried to laugh. “Me? I’m not. And you don’t even have proof.”
I smirked, holding back Connor from bursting out and killing this asshole. “I’m not here for your games and I do have proof which the council is also aware of, and they are making their way here.”
His face no longer pale but was now red. Good, killing him would be much easier now. “You are lying,” he screamed.
“Am I?”
He moved forward, his guards who were around him getting ready to fight and so were mine.
“You think because you are of royal blood, you are special?” he laughed. “You are a little bitch who was given everything because his parents died too soon. I won’t let the council take me, if I die today, I’m taking you with me.”
He lunged at me as he transformed into his wolf, I dodged as his claws came for my throat.
I let Connor come forward and I landed on four paws.
I growled at him, circling him before he lunged again but this time, I was ready.
I dodged and dug my claws into his side as he yelped and pulled back.
I pounced on him, growling in his face as he whimpered.
It was over. I had won.
I pushed up from him and turned away but I knew the bastard was too stubborn to stop.
He came at me again and I turned and sunk my teeth into his neck and threw him on the floor.
His blood leaked on the floor until he was still.
No one moved or said anything.
Then something moved in the corner of my eye.
I turned to it and saw a man shaking with fear as he tried to crawl away.
I smiled with my sharp teeth.
Found you bastard.
