Ophelia’s Pov

Everything happened within seconds. Xavron was standing at the entrance of the red room and the next thing we saw was all of the Zaidon men lying on the floor dead . This is something I have never experienced before.

He was so fast . Fast like lightning. He killed hundreds of me within seconds. I don’t think this human possibly. And when I look at his eyes it is golden in color . This is not the first time I’m seeing his eyes change color .

Looking at the bodies that are lying on the floor, I become scared of Xavron. He is not the same Xavron that I got married to. He looks like a cold blood seeking monster.

Zaidon is also terrified of Xavron. I can feel his grip on me tightened. His hand on my neck presses the knife closer to my neck. I got cut from the pressure he is applying to the knife. My blood is running down my neck . It is a small wound but Xavron noticed it .

“Let her go, you bastard,” Xavron said . He sounds really scary currently.

“Don’t come closer or I will kill her, “ Zaidon threatened. His voice is shaky and I know he is scared of Xavron. He couldn’t not even threaten Xavron.

“Don’t involve her in this . Let her go “ Xavron said. I know he is trying hard to control himself and he is also being cautious. Everyone knows that the moment Xavron moves closer to us Zaidon will kill me . I really need to do something. I have tried hitting Zaidon in the place where the sun doesn't shine but I wasn’t successful. I can’t even move . Zaidon caged me in his grip .

“Zaidon don’t you think about hurting my Xavron '' okay that wasn’t me . It is Rose that is yelling at Zaidon. Should I be concerned about her obsession with Xavron or should I do something about the fact that I have a knife that is about to slit my throat.

Then all of a sudden Zaidon was thrown to the other side of the room , making the glass window shattered into pieces.

I pulled into a tight hug . I can feel Xavron’s muscles relaxing . And I hugged him back . Hugged him with all the strength I have left .

“I miss you “ I said. I really missed his warmth . I miss him so much .

“I miss you, my wife . But now I have someone to kill “ it turns out that Xavron took advantage of the commotion Rose caused. I turned around and saw three men standing close to Rose . I could recognize them as Xavron friends .

Julius his beta and his second in command Raymond his third in command and Khalifa his fourth in command.

Eniac quickly rushed towards Zaidon and said some chants . Zaidon and Eniac but disappeared from our sight.

“Oh no . How were they able to escape?” Julius asked

“ isn’t that obvious they used magic. We need a witch “ Raymond said .

I scanned the room looking for my ex best friend but she is no longer in the room.

“Where is Rose ?” I asked

“She also disappeared, “ Khalifa answered .

All this time Xavron stood there quietly. I know he is angry at not being able to kill Zaidon. Zaidon is the reason why Xavron is an orphan .

I quickly got to where he was standing and hugged him from the back . I can feel his muscles tense but they soo try to relax .

“ I’m sorry, Xavron “ I told him .

“Why are you apologizing? I should be the one apologizing here . I should not have let Phyna be my friend. I shouldn’t have trusted her . I should not have trusted him “ he said . Who is Xavron talking about? I know he is talking about Phyna but who is the other person?

“Him ? Who are you talking about?” I asked him

“Zaidon “ he said. Why would Xavron regret trusting Zaidon. Xavron doesn’t look like he will trust Zaidon not in this lifetime nor the next .

“What are you talking about?”

“Zaidon was once my idol . He was someone I adored when I was a child. He was the big uncle every kid will be very happy to have . He taught me a lot of things. We gave me heads up on how to treat a lady who was very close to me . He was my guardian angel. But he betrayed me . And I am the reason why he was successful with his plan. “

This is not what I expected. Zaidon and Xavron were once close. This is a new story that I am finding hard to process.

“It's okay if you don’t want to continue, “ I told him . Honestly I don’t want him to feel pressured into telling me his past . What happened in the past should stay in the past .

“No, I want to.” He said

“Okay. Go on “ By now we are the only ones left in the red room. The guys left . They respected us to give us space to talk . I honestly want to leave this place and never come back . It is traumatizing for me . But the most important thing right now is to listen to what Xavron wants to say.

“I used to tell him everything about my life . Everything. Even things that I was supposed to keep as a secret. Then one day I told him about my dad’s war plan . And that sneaky bastard used it to his advantage. He teamed up with my dad’s enemy and told them about my dad’s plan . Zaidon killed my father and mother from a poison. He lied to them that it is a healing potion and being a trustworthy person my parents believed him . He made sure to stab them with a knife before they died . I was able to escape . The elders kept me hidden until I became old enough to take the position of the central alpha. But I did not stay for long with in six months I become the central alpha “

“ I’m very sorry Xavron. You had to go through all this . You are a very good person and I love you so much husband “

“Hmm husband I like the sound of that let’s get of here and I will show you how much I love you “
