Chapter 49 49
His growl made her flinch, and she abruptly stopped biting her lips.
A soundless gasp slipped from her as the rough pad of his thumb dragged over her mouth slow, deliberate, achingly sensual. He leaned in, close enough that his heat surrounded her, his breath spilling against her ear. The proximity made her squirm, and that tiny movement caused her body to brush against his.
He groaned in approval.
Her face burned crimson with embarrassment.
“I want to do forbidden things to your little body, Ana,” he rasped.
A shiver of fear skated down her spine, sharp and electric. The dread tangled with excitement so violently that warmth pooled between her thighs, her body betraying her before her mind could catch up.
His fingers slid to the nape of her neck, gripping her there. She sucked in a sharp breath at the possessive hold.
“I want to fuck you so hard and raw,” he continued, voice dark and merciless, “that you won’t be able to walk for days.”
The filthy promise detonated inside her head, conjuring images her innocence had never known but her body responded to instantly. Her lips parted slightly as her wide eyes fixed on the whiteboard ahead present in body, but her mind was dragged straight into a burning inferno of want and need.
Exactly where he wanted her.
“I will claim you in so many fucking ways,” he murmured, deliberately grinding his hard length against her hypersensitive core through her jeans.
“M… Mr. Ruiz…” she stuttered, terror threading through her voice even as her nerves buzzed with aching desire.
He released her nape only for his knuckles to trail slowly, cruelly, over her peaked nipple through the thin fabric of her shirt. She recoiled instinctively, shoulders slumping, eyes blown wide with fear as her mouth opened to draw in air.
“Fuck!” he cursed harshly.
She jumped.
Fernando’s nostrils flared as he breathed in, restraint visibly ripping through him.
She was aroused.
Fuck.
Lord help him.
Fuck.
This little doll was tormenting him beyond reason.
“You’re mine, Ana,” he growled. “Body. Soul. Heart. Every inch of you belongs to me.”
As he pressed himself against her again, rubbing mercilessly against her womanhood, it became nearly impossible for her to hold onto coherent thought.
“Say it,” he commanded.
Her already hazy, fear-filled gaze lifted to him in confusion, only to catch on the dark tattoo etched into his neck.
Deadly.
“W-what?” she breathed.
“Say that you’re fucking mine,” he snarled, and she felt him thicken even more against her as panic tightened its grip on her chest.
Anyone could walk in.
The thought alone sent tremors through her.
Her lips quivered as she shook her head in denial.
It enraged him.
“Ana”
She cut him off as he shifted back just enough to let her breathe.
“T-this isn’t h-how it works,” she stammered, forcing the words out. “Y-you never asked me what I w-want. Y-you just claimed me as yours. Where’s my c-choice?”
Silence.
She peeked up at him through her thick lashes and the glint in his dark green eyes sent pure terror racing through her veins.
“You don’t have a choice, doll,” he said lightly, almost amused. Like a madman savoring the truth.
“The Goddess has given you to me,” he mused, something alien gleaming in his gaze.
Goddess…?
“An angel for a devil.”
The sardonic smirk that curved his lips made her flinch backward.
Footsteps echoed outside the classroom.
Her heart plummeted.
In one swift motion, Fernando shoved a bundle of notes into her hands and pulled her down. Her legs nearly gave out beneath her, but his grip tightened around her arm, steadying her effortlessly.
In the same breath, he turned and strode toward the window.
The door opened.
“Hello, Mr. Ruiz. Hello, Sofía,” Ms. Paloma greeted warmly.
Sofía forced a smile, managing a soft greeting. Fernando merely inclined his head.
“I want these notes back in two days,” he said coolly. “You may leave now.”
Dismissed.
Sofía nodded faintly and fled.
She locked herself inside a bathroom stall and sank onto the toilet seat, her bag resting limply on her lap.
Her head spun violently.
Her thighs clenched together, the ghost of his hardness still pressing against her memory.
This man was insane.
And he was dragging her into madness with him.
What if Ms. Paloma had seen them?
God it would’ve destroyed everything.
He was a living, breathing danger. There should have been warning sirens blaring around him at all times.
A chill swept over her as his sinful words replayed in her mind everything he had promised to do to her.
Her fingers closed tightly around the heart-shaped pendant at her chest as she took several shaky breaths. The memory of his knuckle brushing her nipple sent another jolt through her body.
He was corrupting her. Fast.
And somewhere deep within her soul… she had already surrendered.
To the beast.
Her beast.
A giddy flutter filled her stomach, her heart hammering wildly as a shy smile curved her lips, warmth staining her cheeks.
Something inside her was breaking walls she didn’t know she’d built while fear still lingered, sharp and unresolved.
He terrified her.
He radiated danger.
And yet… delicate new feelings were blooming in her heart like forbidden flowers.
Sofía was losing herself.
She no longer understood what was happening to her.
Her heart begged her to give him a chance to trust, to feel safe, to be protected in his arms.
But her mind rebelled violently, screaming at her to remember why she feared him so deeply.
Why she couldn’t trust him.
The war raged on.
Little did Sofía know
Her heart would soon shatter into a thousand irreparable pieces.
