Chapter 46 46
He chuckled.
A deep, rich, husky sound rolled from his chest dangerous, intoxicating. It slid over her skin like heat, and she instinctively pressed her legs together, a sharp tingle erupting low in her belly.
His tongue traced the shell of her ear, his hot, uneven breath brushing against her skin. Her heart pounded wildly, her body trembling not just with fear, but with something unfamiliar.
Need.
“M-Mrr…” she stammered as he nibbled the sensitive skin just behind her ear, her thoughts dissolving into haze.
Fernando hummed in approval.
He liked it when she addressed him like that. It fed something dark and possessive inside him, made him feel in control. But he knew, with unsettling certainty, that hearing her moan his name would undo him completely.
“Doll?” he rasped.
The hand she had been clutching slipped free, and without hesitation, he slid it beneath her shirt, palm flattening against her bare back.
The instant his rough fingers touched her skin, goosebumps raced across her body, sparks bursting everywhere he touched.
A breathless moan escaped her trembling lips when his tongue traced her collarbone, her body reacting violently to the sensation.
She always melted like this in his arms.
The way he handled her. The way he dominated her space. The way he made her feel—it all seeped into her mind, clouding her judgment, unraveling her senses until she was nothing but heat and confusion.
“Tell me to stop,” he said hoarsely, his breath harsh against her skin. His voice sounded feral, strained, like a wild thing on the brink.
Her eyes remained shut as she tried to process his words, her lips parting sluggishly through the fog.
“S-stop,” she whispered.
A string of curses ripped from him.
“You’re not helping, Ana,” he groaned as his face dipped dangerously close to her chest. His hand slid lower, pulling her tighter against him while his grip on her hair tightened.
“I ah!” she gasped when he bit the skin just above her right breast.
He toyed with the spot, teeth grazing, lips sucking, tongue soothing until he was satisfied by the dark purple mark blooming beneath his mouth.
Only then did he pull away.
Slowly.
His hand released her hair and settled at the nape of her neck instead possessive, controlling, deliberate.
“Open your eyes, Ana,” he husked.
Her brows knit together as she obeyed, blinking repeatedly, trying to push through the dizziness clouding her mind.
The moment her gaze met his forest-green eyes, horror crashed over her.
Reality snapped into place.
Fernando watched her reaction with dark amusement. Her flushed cheeks, swollen lips, uneven breaths, the subtle tremor running through her body, and those wide, innocent blue eyes stirred something primal inside him.
She didn’t realize it yet but she wanted him.
No matter how hard she tried to resist, her body betrayed her. She liked what he did. She needed him just as fiercely as he needed her.
You’re seducing her, Hunter growled inside his head.
Fernando smirked inwardly.
No denying that.
She was far too naïve for the world he belonged to, and he was far too corrupted for her but fate had already bound them. She was his mate. Wolves claimed what was theirs the moment they found them.
And yet here he was tempting her instead of taking her.
Justifying it, because a man like him could take anything by force… yet he chose not to.
What started as punishment had spiraled into something neither of them had planned.
“W-why did you t-tell him that y-you’re m-my b-boyfriend?” she stammered.
His thoughts vanished instantly, all focus snapping back to her.
“Because I am,” he said flatly.
She frowned and stepped back a move he instantly disliked.
He preferred her disoriented, pliant, wrapped in the heat he created. Seeing her walls slam back into place irritated him.
“N-no… we can’t,” she whispered, fear flickering across her face.
“We are,” he said firmly, forcing the truth into the air between them.
He was grateful her gaze lingered on his chest and nowhere lower. He didn’t want her to see the evidence of what she did to him it would only frighten her further.
“I can’t,” she murmured, retreating another step.
His jaw tightened.
“You already did,” he snapped.
Her wide blue eyes shot up to his.
Confusion bled across her expression.
“The moment you liked my touch,” he rasped, advancing slowly.
“The moment you kissed me back…”
Her cheeks burned as she swallowed, stepping back again with every step he took forward.
“The moment you moaned…”
His voice dropped cold, lethal.
Her back hit the wall.
She startled, fear flashing through her gaze.
“The moment you squeezed your thighs,” he growled.
Her eyes widened.
He noticed.
Mortification flooded her.
“All of it screamed the same truth,” he continued, closing the distance completely. He leaned down until they were eye to eye, her breath hitching sharply.
“You are mine,” he said, his alpha tone commanding submission.
Her body reacted instinctively.
But her mind fought back.
“I-it’s f-forbidden,” she whispered, peering up at him through thick lashes.
“A sinful temptation,” he replied, dark emotion burning in his green eyes
