Chapter 29 29

Chapter 29 29
“If I want to fuck you, I’ll fuck you,” he snarled like a savage beast. “I won’t write this bullshit.”

Sofía flinched where she stood.

His face had gone dark and icy, so terrifying she could barely force herself to look at him.

Those raw, unfiltered words shook her to her core.

If he wants to

No.

He can’t.

“Now tell me,” he hissed, crushing the paper in his fist until his knuckles turned white, “who wrote this?”

Her gaze dropped to the floor.

This wasn’t how she thought things would go.

“I—I don’t know,” she murmured, her eyes flicking briefly toward the door.

If she ran now, she might make it there before he could get around the desk.

But before she could even move

A massive body blocked her path.

Dark, dangerous tattoos stretched along his neck, close enough for her to see every line.

She bit down hard on her lower lip, fighting to steady her nerves.

“Stop it,” he growled.

She recoiled.

“W-what?” she stammered, her eyes catching on the wolf pendant resting against his chest.

“Look at me when I’m talking to you, damn it!” he snapped.

Her big blue eyes flew up to meet his.

“Now think,” he said more calmly, though the threat still lingered in his tone. “And tell me who could’ve written it.”

She blinked once.

Then again.

Only one name echoed in her mind.

Miguel.

“I—I don’t know,” she repeated softly.

But he saw through her instantly.

She was lying.

For someone else.

Rage exploded inside him.

Fury burned in his eyes.

Grabbing the back of her neck, he yanked her roughly against him, his grip hard and unforgiving.

His gaze searched her neck for the hickey he’d left

And when he found it hidden

Something inside him snapped.

“Who the fuck are you trying to protect?” he growled against her ear.

A violent shiver raced down her spine, her toes curling in fear.

“N-no one,” she trembled, struggling uselessly against his iron grip.

Why did he have to be so

So inappropriate even while talking?

Why couldn’t he act like a normal man?

“You’re lying!” he snarled.

His hold tightened painfully and she winced.

She couldn’t tell him about Miguel.

He would make a scene.

He would destroy everything.

“I said let go of me!” she cried.

Instead, his fingers tangled in her hair, gripping a fistful of it and jerking her head back harshly.

A gasp tore from her throat.

“You’re a lying brat,” he hissed inches from her face, his towering frame caging her in.

Her eyes widened

Then doubled in shock at his next words.

“And I’m going to teach you a proper lesson. Not just for disrespecting me but for lying to me.”

She could hear his teeth grinding in rage.

Fear churned inside her, but if she didn’t speak now, she felt like she would explode.

“You’re a psycho!” she burst out.

“You blamed all that misbehaving nonsense on me when it was YOU who cornered me! You stalked your own student! You watched me undress, touched me when I was helpless and vulnerable you forced a kiss on me!”

Her voice shook with fury.

“You broke into my house and you think I’m the one who needs lessons?”

Tears burned her eyes as everything poured out.

“You’re the one who needs a psychiatrist because you don’t even act like a human!”

Silence crashed down.

The last of her words echoed in the room.

Her breath hitched when reality struck.

What had she just done?

The deadly, frozen wrath in his green eyes looked capable of tearing the world apart.

The ground beneath her felt unsteady.

Oh God.

His hand left her hair

And in the next second

Her body slammed violently against the wall.

His rough hand wrapped around her throat.

She was lifted onto her toes, eyes wide in sheer terror, hands clawing desperately at his wrist.

He squeezed.

Hard.

Pain shot through her neck as sparks of fear exploded in her vision.

She squeezed her eyes shut.

He was going to kill her.

“Open your eyes,” he growled low beside her ear, his hot breath brushing her hair.

She trembled violently in his grip.

He jerked her again and tightened his hold, forcing her eyes open.

Her terrified blue gaze met his dark, murderous stare.

She’d always thought he was a psycho

But now she knew.

He was a killer too.

“You do not talk to me like that,” he snarled, each word dripping with venom.

She couldn’t breathe.

Couldn’t think.

Couldn’t speak.

Her nails scratched wildly at his arm, even drawing blood but he didn’t react.

His eyes began to glow faintly gold.

The room blurred.

A loud ringing filled her ears.

Her neck burned.

Her legs went numb.

Slowly, sensation drained from her hands as they dropped to her sides.

Her body went limp in his hold.

Her face darkened as black spots danced across her vision.

Just as consciousness slipped away

His grip suddenly released.

She expected to crash to the floor

But strong arms caught her around the waist.

As darkness crept in, she swore she saw golden flecks shining in his green eyes.

Or maybe it was just her mind playing tricks.

God, save her from this monster.

“Y-you’re a… m-monster,” she whispered hoarsely through her bruised throat.

“I know,” came his low, rumbling reply.

A growl followed.

Her body lifted into the air

And then everything faded to black.
