Chapter 198 198

Chapter 198 198
“Not another word, Jacq.”

His voice was cold, sharp enough to cut through the air between them. She swallowed hard, the movement difficult with his hand still wrapped around her throat.

Instead of replying, she focused on trying to free her wrists. It was useless. His grip was unyielding, and the harder she struggled, the more impossible it seemed to escape him. Her heartbeat thundered in her ears, every pulse louder because of the way his fingers held her neck in such a dominating grasp.

“L… leave me,” she managed, twisting her hands again.

He didn’t release her.

“I don’t think you’re here to talk, Damien. Sss—” She hissed sharply when his hold on her wrists tightened painfully. Her eyes flashed up at him through her lashes, anger burning beneath the fear. He was manhandling her.

“Let go!” she demanded, her voice rising.

His jaw flexed.

Before she could react, he shoved his knee forward, forcing her legs apart. A startled gasp tore from her throat as his thigh pressed firmly between them.

Her widened eyes met his cold, unyielding gaze.

A low, mocking snicker slipped from his lips before he suddenly leaned forward and crashed his mouth against hers.

The kiss struck her like lightning.

Her lips parted in shock, and he immediately took advantage, his tongue sliding into her mouth. He kissed her with fierce intensity, tangling his tongue with hers as if determined to consume every breath she had.

Jacqueline struggled, attempting to turn her head away, but his fingers tightened warningly around her throat.

The silent threat forced her still.

She refused to kiss him back.

And that only fueled the fire raging inside him.

She had drawn her own conclusions, made her own assumptions, and walked out of his life without even giving him the chance to explain. The anger that had been simmering inside him since then now burned hotter than ever.

He wanted to punish her.

And he intended to do exactly that.

His mouth moved against hers relentlessly, savoring the taste of those soft, cherry-sweet lips that had haunted him through countless sleepless nights.

He only pulled away when her body began trembling beneath him and her legs nearly gave out.

Immediately he released her wrists and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her against his chest to keep her from collapsing.

Her hands landed weakly against his chest as she struggled to catch her breath. A sheen of saliva glistened along the corner of her mouth and across her chin.

Her half-lidded eyes… the soft, uneven breaths leaving her lips…

His wolf was dangerously close to the surface.

God, he had missed her.

His lips trailed slowly down the curve of her jaw before brushing against her neck. He left sloppy, lingering kisses across her skin, breathing in the sweet, floral scent that clung to her.

It intoxicated him.

Almost deliberately, he sank his teeth into her flesh.

She winced sharply at the sting, the pain snapping her back to reality. Instinctively she tried to push him away, but he wasn’t finished.

He nipped at her skin again before sucking hard enough to leave a dark mark behind.

“S… stop,” she whispered breathlessly.

The sound of her voice sent heat rushing straight through him.

“You assume too much,” he ground out through clenched teeth.

“You don’t know anything,” he added with a bitter snicker.

In the very next second Jacqueline lashed out, trying to strike him somewhere particularly painful. She was furious hurt, overwhelmed, and desperate to escape the storm of emotions crashing through her.

But Damien was faster.

He caught her easily, spinning her around and pressing her front against the door. With swift efficiency he dragged both her wrists behind her back, forcing them together in his grip.

Her back arched helplessly.

The more she struggled, the harsher his hold became.

Her breath caught when she suddenly felt the unmistakable hardness of him pressing against her from behind.

“Stop… l-let go of me,” she said sharply.

He only sneered.

His fingers slid into her thick hair, curling into a tight fist before pulling her head back. The movement exposed her neck and forced her face slightly upward.

“You didn’t even bother to ask me what I want,” he growled against her ear, his hot breath sending a cold shiver down her spine.

“I… I know what you want,” she whispered, tears gathering in her eyes. “And I didn’t want to hear it. That’s why I left.”

A dark chuckle left him, low and humorless.

Her body went rigid at the sound.

His hand moved forward again, wrapping once more around her throat. Tilting her jaw to the side, he forced her to look at him.

“You don’t know what I want,” he hissed slowly. “If you did… you never would have left.”

Then he bit down on her earlobe.

She winced.

Footsteps echoed faintly somewhere in the hallway outside.

Jacqueline opened her mouth, ready to scream for help but before any sound escaped, Damien’s large hand clamped firmly over her mouth.

At the same time, he released her wrists.

Her hands immediately flew up, trying to pry his hand away from her mouth, but his strength made it useless.

Her breath hitched sharply when his other hand moved lower.

Her heart slammed violently against her ribs as he cupped her between her legs.

In an instant, her hands gripped his wrist, trying to push him away.

But beneath the struggle there was something else something she hated herself for.

Part of her wanted him to touch her again.

To kiss her.

To claim her the way he once had.

And she knew that the further this went, the more it would destroy her when it was over.

His fingers slipped to the button of her jeans. With practiced ease he popped it open and dragged the zipper down.

Jacqueline jolted when his hand slid beneath the fabric of her panties, touching her bare skin.

A low snarl left him the moment he felt how wet she was.

Embarrassment flooded her as she squeezed her eyes shut.

Tilting her face toward him, he captured her lips again in another fierce kiss. At the same time, one of his fingers slipped inside her slick heat.

A rough grunt escaped him as her body instinctively clenched around his finger while he began moving it slowly.

He adjusted the angle of her head, deepening the kiss.

Jacqueline’s resistance finally crumbled.

She kissed him back with the same desperate intensity he was giving her, and the response earned a deep, satisfied growl from him.

His pace quickened.

A gasp escaped her lips as he pushed another finger inside her.

Her hands tightened around his forearm as she clung to him. She needed air, desperately but she refused to break the kiss.

She was greedy for him.

A sharp shiver ran through her body when he sucked on her tongue while his fingers continued their relentless rhythm.

A single tear slipped from the corner of her eye.

Her heart ached with a longing she could never silence.

At last she tore her lips away from his and grabbed his wrist, yanking his hand free.

“W… why are you doing this, Damien?” she asked, her voice shaking as tears streamed down her face.

She turned to face him fully.

His jaw was set hard as he stared down at her, raw desire blazing in his eyes.

The intensity of it stole the air from her lungs.

And then he spoke the words she never expected to hear.

“I want you, dammit.”

His voice dropped into a possessive growl.

“You’re mine.”
