Chapter 35- Look

Third Person POV.

As the evening descended, casting long shadows across the pack house, Maya felt a sense of anticipation building within her as she prepared to broach the delicate topic with the four men who held a place in her heart. She knew that what she was about to suggest would not be easy, but she also knew that it was something she needed to do in order to find the peace and clarity she sought.

Gathering her resolve, Maya made her way to Leo's office, the weight of her decision settling heavily on her shoulders as she contemplated the conversation that lay ahead. She knew that the men would have questions, concerns, perhaps even objections, but she was determined to see her plan through to the end.

As she entered the office, Maya found the four men waiting for her, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and apprehension as they exchanged uncertain glances with one another. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come, before taking a seat at the head of the long wooden table.

"Thank you all for coming," she began, her voice steady despite the nervous fluttering in her stomach. "I... I have something important that I need to discuss with you."

The men nodded, their attention focused intently on Maya as she gathered her thoughts, her mind racing a mile a minute as she searched for the right words to express what she was feeling.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking lately," she continued, her voice gaining strength with each passing word. "About the future of our pack, about my role as alpha, and about the relationships that I share with each of you."

She paused, allowing her words to sink in as she met each man's gaze in turn, her heart pounding in her chest as she braced herself for their reaction.

"I know that what I'm about to suggest may sound... unconventional," she went on, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "But I believe that it's something that we need to consider, for the good of our pack, and for the sake of our own happiness."

The men exchanged wary glances, a palpable tension hanging in the air as they waited for Maya to continue.

"I... I propose that we explore the possibility of... of sharing me," Maya said at last as she struggled to articulate her thoughts. "I know that it may sound strange, but I believe that it could work, if we approach it with an open mind and a willingness to communicate."

The room fell silent, the weight of Maya's words hanging heavy in the air as the men processed her suggestion. Leo was the first to speak.

"I... I'm not sure I understand," he said, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Are you saying that you want all four of us to... to be with you?"

Maya nodded, her heart pounding in her chest as she met Leo's gaze with unwavering determination.

"Yes," she said simply. "I believe that it could work, if we're all willing to give it a chance. I know that it's unconventional, but I also believe that love knows no bounds, and that we shouldn't be afraid to explore new possibilities."

The other men remained silent, their expressions unreadable as they processed Maya's words. She could see the uncertainty in their eyes, the hesitation that lingered in the air like a heavy fog, but she also sensed a glimmer of curiosity, a spark of interest that hinted at the possibility of something more.

"I know that this may be difficult for some of you to accept," Maya continued, her voice soft but resolute. "But I ask that you trust me, and that you trust in the strength of our bond. Together, we can overcome any obstacle, if we're willing to stand united."

The men exchanged uncertain glances, a silent conversation passing between them as they weighed Maya's words. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lucas spoke.

"I... I think we owe it to ourselves to at least consider Maya's proposal," he said, his words measured but sincere. "If it's something that she believes will bring her happiness, then I think we owe it to her to give it a chance."

The other men nodded in agreement, their expressions a mixture of uncertainty and resolve as they turned to Maya, their eyes searching hers for reassurance. She met their gaze with a small but hopeful smile, her heart swelling with gratitude for their willingness to consider her suggestion.

"Thank you," she said softly, her voice choking with emotion. "Thank you for trusting me, and for being willing to explore this with me. I promise that whatever happens, we will face it together, as a pack, as a family."

As Maya's words hung in the air, a palpable tension lingered in the room, each man processing her proposal in his own way. The weight of the moment seemed to press down upon them, filling the room with an almost suffocating intensity.

Then, as if sensing the need to break the tension, Lucas rose from his seat, his movements deliberate as he crossed the room to where Maya sat. There was a determined gleam in his eyes, a silent declaration of his unwavering support for her.

Without a word, Lucas reached out and took Maya's hand in his, his touch gentle but firm as he guided her to her feet. She looked up at him, her eyes wide with surprise, her heart pounding in her chest as she felt the heat of his gaze upon her.

Before Maya could react, Lucas pulled her into his arms, his embrace strong and reassuring as he held her close. She could feel the warmth of his body pressed against hers, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat echoing in her ears as she melted into his embrace.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still as Maya lost herself in the sensation of being held by Lucas, her mind swirling with a whirlwind of emotions. She could feel the weight of his presence surrounding her, enveloping her in a cocoon of safety and security that she never wanted to leave.

And then, without warning, Lucas leaned down and captured Maya's lips in a kiss that sent shockwaves coursing through her body. It was a kiss filled with passion and longing, a silent affirmation of their connection that left Maya breathless and dizzy with desire.

For a moment, Maya was lost in the sensation of Lucas's lips moving against hers, his touch igniting a fire within her that threatened to consume her whole. She could feel the heat of his body pressing against hers, the urgency of his touch sending shivers down her spine as she surrendered herself to the moment.

But as quickly as it had begun, the kiss came to an end, leaving Maya reeling and gasping for air as she struggled to catch her breath. She looked up at Lucas, her eyes wide with shock and confusion, her mind spinning with a million unanswered questions.

"What... what was that?" she stammered as she struggled to make sense of what had just happened.

Lucas smiled down at her, his eyes sparkling with warmth and affection as he brushed a stray lock of hair from her face.

"That was me showing you how much I care about you," he said softly, his voice filled with sincerity. "I know that this may be difficult for you to accept, but I want you to know that I'm here for you, no matter what."

Maya felt a surge of emotion welling up inside her at Lucas's words, a sense of gratitude and relief flooding her senses as she realized that she was not alone in this. She reached out and took his hand in hers, squeezing it tightly as she tried to put her feelings into words.

"Thank you, Lucas," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for being there for me, for supporting me through this. I... I don't know what I would do without you."

Lucas smiled down at her, his eyes shining with warmth and affection as he pulled her into another embrace. For a moment, they stood there, lost in each other's arms, the rest of the world fading away as they savored the sweetness of the moment.
