Chapter 125
Chapter 125
Sheryl's POV
His eyes were half-closed as he memorized my features, burning them into his memory. As we kissed passionately, I heard the bathroom drawer slide open. I cracked my eyes open to see what he was holding.
He was tearing open a condom package one-handed when I suddenly stopped him.
My eyes misted over with desire, cheeks flushed. "I thought... we were trying for a baby?"
Rhett's eyes were smoldering, his smile seductive. "Not today. We'll do it for a baby after you've rested and recovered completely."
"Really?" I asked.
He kissed the corner of my mouth. "Really."
The bathroom light caught in the rising steam, casting the room in an intimate glow.
Rhett's voice dropped low, husky with emotion. "Sheryl, I’m sorry I made you worry. You let me know what I mean to you." His hands tightened on my hips. "Let me take care of you now. Let me show you how much you mean to me."
I blinked, confused. "Take care of me? What do you—"
Before I could finish, he knelt down, his hands sliding under my thighs. My breath hitched. I’d never experienced this before. My heart raced, hands gripping the counter edge. "Rhett, wait, I don’t—"
"Shh," he murmured, his breath warm against my skin. "Just relax. Trust me." His lips brushed my inner thigh, sending shivers through me.
I tensed, unsure, but his gentle kisses softened my resistance. His mouth moved closer, and a gasp escaped me as his tongue teased my most sensitive spot. Heat surged through my body. My hands instinctively tangled in his hair, trembling with each flick.
"Oh, God," I whispered, overwhelmed. His rhythm was slow, deliberate, building a fire I couldn’t control. My legs shook, toes curling against the cold tile. Every touch felt electric, coaxing whimpers from my lips. I was lost in sensation, cared for in a way I’d never known.
Finally, he stood, pulling me into a deep kiss. I tasted myself on his lips—a strange, intimate flavor that made my cheeks burn. It was raw, personal, and somehow deepened the connection. My breath quickened, a desperate need surging within me.
Despite my exhaustion, a deeper yearning took hold, one that only the closest connection could satisfy.
Unable to hold back, I surged forward, jumping onto Rhett, my legs wrapping tightly around his waist. I clung to him, kissing him fiercely, my body pressing against his. My core rubbed against his hardness, the friction sparking raw need. A shudder ran through me, desperate for more.
His sharp intake of breath confirmed he felt it too. "Sheryl, fuck!" he growled, voice thick with want. His hands reacted instantly—one gripping my ass to support me, the other sliding protectively to my back. He pushed me against the wall, pinning me there with his body.
The tiles chilled my skin, a sharp contrast to the heat between us. His eyes burned with desire as he adjusted his hold, ensuring I was secure. My nails dug into his shoulders, anticipation building. I could barely breathe, aching for him.
Slowly, he positioned himself, his grip tightening. Then, with a deliberate thrust, he pushed inside, filling me completely. I gasped at the stretch, the intensity stealing my breath. My body arched against the wall, overwhelmed by the fullness, the connection.
He moved with a steady pace, each thrust deliberate, deep. My head tilted back, moans slipping out. "Rhett," I breathed, overwhelmed by the friction, the heat. His grip tightened, pulling me closer with every motion, our bodies perfectly synced.
The pressure built fast, spiraling inside me. "Emm...emmm...," I whimpered, each thrust pushing me closer to the edge. His breath was ragged, matching mine.
"Ahhhhh!," I cried out as waves of pleasure crashed over me, my body trembling uncontrollably in his arms.
Rhett groaned, low and primal, as he followed, his movements slowing but still firm. His forehead pressed against mine, both of us panting. My legs stayed locked around him, unwilling to let go. Sweat slicked our skin, the air thick with our shared heat.
---
By the time we collapsed into the soft bed, I was asleep the moment my head touched the pillow. I vaguely felt a trail of gentle, possessive kisses along my collarbone. Too exhausted to protest, I let him continue as I drifted off.
When I next opened my eyes, it was already ten in the morning. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting dappled patterns across the room.
Rhett's side of the bed was empty. I reached over—no warmth remained. He must have left hours ago.
As I sat up, I noticed a note tucked under a figurine on the nightstand. It read simply: Had to go to the office. Stay home and rest.
Just a few words, but they mapped out my entire day. I couldn't help but smile.
After getting dressed and heading downstairs, I heard the rumble of a motorcycle approaching the house. A blue bike pulled into the driveway. Joel West removed his helmet, shaking out his hair, and dismounted, holding a thick manila envelope.
"Sheryl? Is Rhett home?" he asked.
"He went to the office," I replied, pointing to the envelope. "Are you bringing him something?"
"Yeah, I thought he'd be taking the day off, but our man never stops working," Joel joked, his eyes dropping to my neck before quickly looking away.
Not catching his meaning, I assumed he was just teasing about Rhett's workaholic tendencies.
"Joel, you can leave it with me if you want," I offered. "I'll take it to him later."
"Sure thing." He agreed immediately, handing over the envelope with a grin. "I bet seeing you will put him in a much better mood than seeing me."
Joel departed on his motorcycle, leaving me holding the heavy envelope. I frowned slightly, curious about its contents.
Unable to resist, I opened the envelope to peek at the thick stack of papers inside. As my eyes scanned the first few lines, my pupils contracted sharply, and my brows furrowed deeply.
