Chapter 70 - The Gamma’s Mate

Alpha King Dantes turned around and faced the owner of the voice, who just called out his name aloud. 

“My Alpha King, an apology for calling you, when you were about to go, I just need to confirm from you if my primary duty as a Gamma will start tonight. If it is, I will need to assign someone to replace me in tonight’s roving team,” Gamma Reden said apologetically.

“Oh, you can start tomorrow, Gamma Reden. For today, she will just rest in our room and I will be beside her after we finished our meeting.”

“Got it, my Alpha King. See you tomorrow then, my Luna Queen,” Gamma Reden said as he bowed his head to Alpha King Dantes and then to the new Luna Queen.

As they walked to their room, Alpha King Dantes wrapped her shoulders with his arm and they reached their room like that. 

“I got to go, wife. I will be back, soonest as the meeting ended. If you need something just push the buzzer, alright?” 

“Alright. Go now. Don’t worry, I will be just fine in here.”

Andreitte locked the door after her husband left the room, and then she laid her body on the bed with a feeling of contentment in her heart.

Unintentionally, Andreitte fall asleep and was awakened by knocks on her door. “A moment,” she hazily said as she climbed down from the bed. 

She thought it was already the Alpha King who came, but to her surprise, it was Gamma Reden.

“Gamma Reden, I thought you will start your Gamma duties to me tomorrow,” she said surprised.

“The King needs to go to the mini castle immediately, my Luna Queen and so he asked me to guard you here in the meantime. Did I disturb your sleep?” Gamma Reden said with an apologetic tone when he noticed that the Luna Queen seemed to have just awakened from her slumber.

“It’s alright, Gamma Reden. I will get inside again and sleep. I am always sleepy these past few days, I noticed.”

“Go on, my Luna Queen. That is part of your pregnancy, I guess.”

“By the way, why did the Alpha King go to the mini-castle?” Suddenly, she remembered asking.

“Because of the newly chosen Alpha’s Breeder who replaced Daina.”

The Luna Queen furrowed. “What about her? Is there something wrong with her?”

Gamma Reden suddenly lowered his head as if he was focusing his eyes on his toes. When he looked up again, his eyes were clouded with sadness. “She is my mate, my Luna Queen,” he murmured, thereafter.

Luna Queen Andreitte’s eyes widened as she heard Gamma Reden’s confession. “Wow, congratulations, Gamma Reden. At long last, you found your mate. But why does it seems like you are getting sad about it?”

“My Luna Queen, the new Alpha’s breeder, refused to accept me as her mate. All she wanted is to finish her term as an Alpha’s Breeder and be a mother to a child with Alpha’s blood. She does not want me because I am not an Alpha but just a lowly Gamma,” with sadness in his tone, Gamma Reden explained to the new Luna Queen.

“That is a ridiculous decision!” Luna Queen Andreitte exclaimed, disgusted with the attitude of the newly chosen Alpha’s Breeder.

Gamma Reden inhaled deeply as he looked at Luna Queen Andeitte with sadness. “I hope the Alpha King could be able to convince her not to reject me, my Luna Queen.”

With pity, Luna Queen Andreitte tapped her Gamma’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, the mate pulls between you and the newly chosen Alpha’s Breeder, I’m sure will make her decide properly. She will choose you over any Alpha, who will only impregnate her and will not give her the love and affection that you can give to her, Gamma Reden.”

Gamma Reden nodded and smiled. “May your words, Luna Queen Andreitte come true.”

“It will, Gamma Reden. Believe in that and it will happen.”

“Thank you, my Luna Queen. You just don’t know how much you uplifted my spirit.”

“Think positively, Gamma Reden. Don’t worry, I will also include that in my prayers before I go to sleep tonight.”

Gamma Reden nodded and smiled thankfully to the new Luna Queen. Gamma Reden’s hope elevated much. It has been said that a Luna Queen’s words either a curse or a blessing to anyone, usually happens, as the Moon Goddess favors Lunas, more so, a Luna Queen.

When Andreitte returned inside her room, she suddenly fell into reminiscences. She remembered herself when she was chosen as the new Alpha’s Breeder. Her attitude and that of the current Alpha’s Breeder were completely opposite. The current Alpha’s Breeder chose or is happy to serve as an Alpha’s Breeder and even seemed to be not happy for finding her mate who could save her from continuing to act as the Alpha’s Breeder while she, on one hand,  despised being one. She prayed to find her mate, who will save her from being an Alpha’s Breeder, no matter who he is.

Luna Queen Andreitte sighed deeply. “Tsskk, woman, you better choose Gamma Reden, your real mate, otherwise, your life, I could envision, is going to be a miserable one,” she then murmured.

She fall asleep while her mind was that of Gamma Reden’s predicament toward his mate.

When she woke up, she already felt a warm body beside her. She moved her body to her side and faced the man, who was calmly sleeping beside her. Seeing his placid breathing, Luna Queen Andreitte smiled brightly while her right hand was unable to control to move and caressed the face of the sleeping Alpha King Dantes.

“Was he able to convince the new Alpha’s Breeder not to reject Gamma Reden as her mate?” she thought suddenly while her hand gently caressed his lips this time.

At that moment, Alpha King Dantes’ eyes flew open, and looked at his wife with a teasing grin on his lips. “Would you want to know the answer to that nagging question now inside your mind, my wife?” he asked.
