Chapter 102
Third Person POV.
The kiss Helene and Hunter had started slowly and their lips moved gently in sync.
The only thing Hunter could think of at the moment was what Helene was doing to him and how she was making him feel things that he had never felt before. He couldn't bring himself to think of anything or anyone and even when the thoughts of Brenda crossed his mind, he discarded the thoughts because he just couldn't allow himself to care for anything else besides enjoying the moment.
Helene felt as though she had been lit on fire as Hunter's tongues danced with hers in ways that she never thought were possible. The kiss made her feel butterflies in her stomach and at the same time, she felt like she was diving into an ocean of never-before-felt emotions and she was too swept up in the current to care about whether or not she deserved to be enjoying this.
Nothing else seems to matter to her at the moment and even though he may end up regretting being with her once again, she couldn't bring herself to be bothered by such thoughts.
Hunter put her closer to him, tightly wrapping one hand around her waist while the other rested at the back of her neck, supporting it and keeping it in place. He needed more of her as he felt a burning sensation that clouded his senses and to him, her lips tasted as sweet as molasses and all he wanted was to keep tasting and exploring every inch of her mouth.
Without breaking the kiss, he picked her up and placed her on his thighs and Helene was quick to wrap her legs firmly around his waist, holding onto his shoulders momentarily for support. His hand cupped her cheeks, giving him better access to her lips and he bit on it softly, causing her to let out an unconscious moan.
This wasn't Helene's first kiss with him but she had never felt this much passion in her entire life. It felt like every part of her was literally on fire and the way his hand freely trailed on her exposed skin and caused a tingly feeling in her stomach, made her want more and more of him.
Needing to catch his breath, Hunter pulled back slowly before resting his head against her forehead as they both panted heavily with their eyes closed. Not wanting to leave things idle, he started to trail fleeting kisses from her cheek down to her neck, where he bit her softly and caused a soft moan to escape her lips.
Helene was loving Hunter's little assault on her bare skin and her lips parted slightly when Hunter resumed biting and sucking on the crook of her neck.
Hunter already had a hard-on and he knew that if he didn't put a stop to this now, he wouldn't be able to control himself or stop himself from taking her and he knew tonight wasn't the night for that to happen, especially not in a place like this. He was aware that she had never been with anyone before and he wouldn't want her first time to be under such circumstances and even worse, in a situation where she wasn't completely sober.
"Let's stop here," he managed to mutter, even though he wanted nothing more than to spend the night with her and make her his.
"Wait, what? Why? Don't tell me that you're about to give me reasons why you regret what just happened?" Helene asked, hoping with everything that he didn't mention anything like that, because that would break her heart.
"Does it look like I regret anything, sweetie? The only thing I'm regretting right now is that I can't finish what we started," Hunter replied and Helene furrowed her brows in confusion.
"If you don't regret it, then why exactly can't we finish what we started? What's holding you back?" she questioned.
Hunter sighed. "I'm refraining from doing things to you right now because I know it's not the right time or place for this. I wouldn't want our first time together to be in this room and under these circumstances so how about we just be patient and wait for a more perfect timing?" Hunter replied suggestively and even though Helene was upset, she could understand where he was coming from.
She hadn't taken into consideration where they were because there was nothing bad in this place but she knew that it wasn't the perfect time for something like that to happen between them especially since he still had a girlfriend and that situation needed to be sorted out first before things between them escalated.
"Okay fine, I get where you're coming from but you do realize that this is awkward, right?" she pointed out.
"Awkward? How?" Hunter asked.
"Would you have imagined only a few weeks ago that I would be in a room alone with you, sitting on you with my legs wrapped around you after an intense makeout? Did you even think that you and I would never get to this point?" she asked and Hunter chuckled.
"I'm not going to lie, I never thought this would ever happen. I always felt like I would be able to hold out until the day you decided to leave but I guess I now know that it's impossible to resist being with you for too long," he responded and Helene chuckled before placing a small kiss on Hunter's lips.
"Took you long enough to realize it," she replied teasingly with a proud smile tugging on her lips.
Hunter was about to respond to her but he was interrupted when Damon suddenly requested a mind link with him.
"What is it?" he asked.
"I've invited her over and I'm about to question her. Come over soon so you can be there when she talks," Damon relayed and Hunter immediately knew what he was talking about.
"On my way," he responded and the link got cut off.
"Who was that?" Helene asked when she noticed that Hunter's eyes had gone back to normal.
"Damon," he answered.
"Let me guess, you probably have to leave now because something important has come up. Am I right?" she asked and Hunter nodded affirmatively with a soft chuckle.
"It's a very important matter that I need to attend to and I need to go back there as soon as possible to supervise the situation. I'm not very sure if I would be coming back here tonight but I'm going to send a servant to bring some of your things over. Feel free to ask for anything if you feel that something is missing here that you need urgently," Hunter said and Helene nodded.
"How long do I have to stay here?" she asked.
"Not too long, hopefully. I'm hoping that you only have to be here for a few days until the situation is resolved and I'm able to get everyone else to agree with me," he answered and she sighed before moving away from his legs.
"See you soon, I guess," she said and Hunter smiled before getting up to leave.
"I'll be back sooner than you think, sweetie," he told her, pecking her lips one last time before heading out, and as Helene watched him leave, she couldn't help but wonder what the situation was between them now.
Was she finally going to take her place as his mate or would she only remain as the other woman?
