Chapter 19 Nineteen
Chapter 19 Nineteen
Laura's POV.
Entering the game room with Dean made me realize again how big this pack was, I thought it was just a little room where games were played, I didn't know it was a large room, it could occupy over five hundred here, and right now it was filled, I was the last one to join here, and what I always dreaded, what I didn't like was happening.
There were different games, when the basketball, I could see a snooker table, I could see bowling too, and I saw the dance and win game, it was a lot, some I couldn't even recognise, I didn't know what it was, but all I knew was that, this room was really big and spacious, it wasn't hot as well, the air here was pretty good.
Everything about the game room was perfect, the design, the way it was arranged, the computers, Darren built this for his pack to enjoy themselves and I could see how happy they were, they had fun here.
"This was what an alpha should be like."I thought to myself.
I could feel the stares on me, and they were bowing and I wondered what Dean told them, I couldn't address them yet, all I felt like doing right now, was pray for the ground to open so I'll hide myself, I didn't like attention, though I knew that I had to learn, they all said that I'll be the Luna soon, and if I would be that, I needed to know how to command a crowd and also look them in the eyes without unwavering, it'll show that I'm not a scaredy cat.
I followed Dean wondering why he always picked seats that'd make us walk for a long time before getting there, and I was right, there was no one sitting on the two seats at the end of the hall, I just knew it belonged to me and Dean.
I heaved a sigh of relief when we reached, I was happy I wouldn't get to walk past the whole room, I couldn't handle the stare, though I still felt their eyes on me,but I felt like it was out of curiosity, it was still unnerving, I wasn't used to crowdy attention yet, though I knew at some point in time I needed to learn right now, all I needed was a game to focus on, I had nothing to do anyways.
"You can sit here." He said when we reached the seat.
"Yes I know, I can, you always pick the best seats." I said sarcastically.
"Yeah I know right." He replied with a smirk and I laughed.
"Should I show you games you'll like, or you'll scroll through yourself?" He asked.
"I'll start by scrolling." I replied and he nodded tapping on his computer, I tapped mine searching for a game that'll be good for me, I didn't know what to choose, I kept scrolling, I didn't have any choice, all I did was sit there and scroll through the game pages, it was a lot, and truthfully I didn't feel like playing any game, I wanted to spend time with Darren but he was busy and Karl and Dean were busy too.
Dean wasn't totally busy, but he was playing a game, and I didn't want to distract him from his game.
I could see the delighted smile on his face, the way he played the game like it was his life source. Watching him play was more fun than scrolling through and not playing any games. I smiled while watching him win his level.
"You should have let me choose a game for you.", He said with a smile.
"Well, I didn't want to be a nuisance." I said and he frowned.
"And why, when and who called you a nuisance?" He asked and I laughed.
"It was just me saying something, it didn't mean anything." I said.
"Better." He replied.
"I didn't want to disturb you." I said and he nodded with a smile.
"Trust me, I don't hide how I feel, if I'm upset, you'll know." He said and I nodded,Dean was becoming more like the little brother I never had.
"You know he loves games too, that's why he built this." He said and I nodded, knowing he was talking about Darren.
"So what type of game do you like?" he asked and I shook my head.
"I don't really want to play anything right now, watching is my goal now." I said and he laughed.
"Dean." I turned with Dean and we stood up at the same time. I smiled when I saw Karl.
I walked out of the game room with Dean, happy Karl came back, and deeply pleased because I wanted to see Darren too, but I was disappointed to not see him, I looked around and frowned.
"He can't come, sorry darling, he went out to another pack with some elders." He said and I nodded.
"Anyways, I have something, you'll like it." Dean said with a mischievous smile.
"What do you have?" Karl and I asked simultaneously.
"Root beer." Dean said and Karl's eyes widened.
"Wow, take me there." Karl said excitedly.
"It's Uncle's, and he didn't want anyone touching it." Dean said and Karl said.
"You shouldn't have said anything if you wanted it to end this way." Karl said and I laughed.
"We can still drink it." Dean said.
"How?" Karl asked.
"I don't want him biting my neck off for doing what he didn't want." Karl added.
"He won't complain if we tell him she drank it with us." Dean pointed to me.
"I like your plan and it looks like she hasn't tasted it before." Karl said.
I felt my body heat up, and I didn't understand, so I shook it away.
"Let's go." Dean said and we followed him, we went inside a wine store, and Dean opened the root beer, and I tasted it, it was so nice, but it felt it would be intoxicating.
I planned to seduce him with this heat I'm feeling.
