Chapter 295 295

Chapter 295 295
Aurélie POV
We both launch at him at the same time, our bodies colliding with his as we slam him to the ground, pinning him there between us.
“You would have killed me…” I gasp out. He would have if I hadn’t reacted fast enough. My peripheral vision had caught movement just in time.
“Pity I missed…” Gaston snarls back.
My hands are already around his throat, hauling him up and smashing him hard against the cave wall.
“That’s my wife, you piece of shit.”
I slam his head into the stone with everything I have. The crack echoes, and the sharp, metallic scent of blood fills the air.
“Damien…” Aurélie pushes through the mind-link, but I shut her out.
“Damien… you need witnesses. He needs to be questioned for Sabine’s sake, at least.” Her voice drops as she leans close, whispering the words against my ear.
“Sabine?” Gaston rasps, barely managing the sound as my grip tightens.
“Yes your daughter,” I snarl. “The one you pretended fucking died. You cheated on Mum with another woman”
My jaw locks. My entire body trembles with it.
“Your mother was weak”
“Bullshit,” I roar. “You made her that way. Years of verbal abuse.”
I throw him into the air and move instantly, catching him mid-fall and driving him straight back into the ground.
His spine cracks on impact.
“Damien you need witnesses!” Aurélie yells through the bond again, and this time I let her in.
“I don’t need witnesses, sweetheart. He’s not leaving this cave alive.”
I know I’m right but I also know what this could unleash. I can feel her trying to stop the bloodshed before it spirals further.
“You poisoned her,” Aurélie demands, her voice shaking with fury. “Kept her wolf hidden. Why?”
This may be the last chance she’ll ever get to ask.
“Her mother was meant to leave the money to me,” Gaston sneers. “She left it to her instead. I had to do something.”
“Why take her wolf away?”
“Because her wolf would’ve protected her.” He tries to twist his neck, but I give him no room. Not even a millimetre.
“She was a child,” Aurélie screams. “You destroyed her bond with her wolf!”
Her rage crashes through the cave, righteous and burning.
He broke something sacred something that should never be touched for greed.
He could have retired with honor. Could have been a kingmaker. A mentor to Dominique. A loving grandfather to Delphine… to our baby.
Instead, he kidnapped them. Endangered them. Ruined lives.
“Damien…” Aurélie starts.
“Don’t you dare fucking suggest it,” I growl through the bond.
“What?”
“That he deserves to be treated like a rogue.”
“I’m not,” she says firmly. “He doesn’t deserve a second chance. But are you ready to face the uproar? From your alliance? From your council? Without a trial? He was an Alpha King.”
“Sweetheart, I don’t give a fuck,” I say without hesitation. “They can strip me of the kingdom for all I care. As long as he’s alive, he’s a threat to you and the children. If I lost any of you… I wouldn’t survive it.”
I open the bond fully, letting her feel the truth of it my love, my terror, my absolute certainty.
“Then kill him,” she says quietly, nodding. “Let it be done.”
Gaston starts to struggle. His eyes dart toward the cave entrance as he screams for help for warriors, for anyone.
No one comes.
He’s alone.
Completely alone.
“I’m going to enjoy this,” I tell him, locking eyes with my father.
I don’t look away as I drive my hand into his chest.
Slowly.
Deliberately.
I reach inside and pull out his heart, still warm, still beating.
We watch the life fade from his eyes as his soul passes into the judgment of the Moon Goddess herself.
I toss the heart to the cave floor. The sound of it hitting stone echoes like a final verdict.
Aurélie picks up the sword Gaston tried to kill her with a Bloodnight blade, etched with the royal crown and a wolf howling at a blood-red moon.
She plunges it straight into the heart.
For her parents.
For the truth.
For closure at last.
Geneviève and Gaston are gone condemned to eternity for their sins.
And together, Aurélie and I finally rid this world of an evil that should never have existed.
