An inevitable outcome 1

(Author’s Point of View.)

Seeing as he could not hold in his fury anymore and would explode at any second, Adgan receded to the back, to allow Reagan to oversee the situation. Else, he was certain the man’s head will end up on the floor, which would then make the little woman sad. And that is something he does not wish for.

On the other hand, Reagan was just as vexed as his wolf. The Elder was just too presumptuous that he wished nothing more than shredding him to pieces. Yet, his little mate’s plea was something he could not ignore. This matter concerned her, and thus, she has every right to decide whether the insolent Elder gets to live or not.

Even so, Reagan couldn’t just allow the man to walk free after spouting such nonsense. Otherwise, more audacious people like him would take his leniency which is due to his mate’s plea that he could not overlook, as weakness to come forward and do worse in the future.

Dissatisfied, Reagan grabbed Elder Marcus’s jaws to force his mouth open. He stared at the trembling fellow at his mercy, his teeth gnashed together in seething. Before anyone could register what was coming, Reagan delved his hand that was free into the unfortunate Elder’s mouth and barbarously pulled out his tongue, with his face rid of any emotions. Then tossed the Elder away afterwards like some piece of garbage.

Gasps of terror that came from the masses, including that of the utterly shocked Amelia, filled the hall.

Amelia’s stomach churned at the scene before her eyes. She was on the verge of vomiting her guts out seeing how blood gushed out from the now tongueless mouth of the Elder that was retching on the floor in anguish.

Amelia had always known Reagan was ruthless. But seeing him do such a thing right in front of her, she was horrified. The fact that Reagan did it without even a tinge of emotions, filled her with dread.

“Nasty” Reagan’s wolf spoke in his mind.

“Better than you at least,” Reagan bickered.

“Nah! I would have ended him by simply ripping off his head,” Adgan disagreed. “You, however, you strive for torture as that gives you pleasure. You enjoy tearing your victims’ limb by limb until there is nothing left. Your mind is way darker than mine, and that certainly did not come from me, but rather from him,” Adgan added.

Reagan scoffed at what his wolf had just said then veered around. “Take him to the dungeon to reflect on his mistake! He shall remain there till he learned where he had gone wrong!” Reagan ordered breathlessly. “Also, make sure he loses a finger every day until he has none left. And when they grow back, start all over again!!”

“With pleasure, Your Majesty!” Charles said grinning sadistically that anyone could tell the excitement that was coursing through his veins.

With that, two warriors stepped forward and dragged the now unconscious Elder Marcus away.

“Let this serve as a warning to anyone who thinks he or she, could spout nonsense about my mate, your queen. Any insult on her, is an insult to me because we are one!” Reagan’s voice boomed whilst he strode towards the terrified Amelia.

“I Am sorry, love! You had to suffer because of that insolent Elder.” Reagan intentionally ignored the look of ‘you are a monster she was giving him. “They are fortunate to have you as their queen,” he said casually.

Right then, “Your Majesty!” A shaky voice of a male called from behind, holding out the bowl of soapy water in his hands.

“Thank you!” Reagan said dipping his hands inside the bowl of water to wash it, then dried it with a towel that was handed to him by the same guy.

After that, his green orbs which still had some golden rings in them, bore intently at Amelia’s for about two seconds, then he carried her in his limbs, bridal style as they headed back to their seat which was at the other end of the lengthy table.

At that, the tense atmosphere became normal again as the wolves could finally stand up to their feet, happy to breathe freely again. Relief washed over them.

Amelia could not stop staring at Reagan as he carried her back to their seat. At this moment, she feared him. She now realised that he is a combination of both heartless and a caring King to his people. “But which side of him is most likely to be more dominant?” She has no idea!

The question is, “Can she overlook his cruel nature? How often has he done something like this? How many lives has he taken so easily?” Amelia was busy bombarding herself with questions when she heard-

“King Reagan!” An authoritative voice of a woman called out in anger.

But Reagan disregarded her call. She could blow up or turn into a dragon for all he cares. He knows very well that they were up to no good, and he hopes things won’t get beyond his capability.

The woman named Elder Theresa was fuming in anger seeing how Reagan had ignored her. Nonetheless, she collected herself and then went on to say what she wants to say.-

“Recently, we have had a handful of complaints about your tyranny. For example, we heard how you murdered a harmless she-wolf under your kingdom for this same woman, and what you have just done today, leaves us no choice but to either remove you as the king of the werewolves, or you marry the woman we have chosen for you!” Elder Theresa announced.

Reagan paused as that got his attention. He glanced down at Amelia in his arms then twirled around in annoyance. “No one will be taken her seat, nor will I be relinquishing mine!” he growled.

“That is not left for you to decide!” Elder Theresa barked.

“Fated mate or not, she is a bad influence on you, and we cannot allow such to be the case. Therefore, you could either choose to abdicate the throne willingly, or we will be forced to remove you,” another one of the Elders spoke.

“You could try!” Reagan dared. He knew the Elders showing up at his castle today wasn’t just about the incident that happened yesterday, or the fact that those scumbags are in his dungeon. They came for his little mate, and he does not need a decoder to tell him that.
