WHY IS THAT ALPHA KING'S SON STILL ALIVE?

**Thir POV**

Karina hurriedly walked to her room, holding her forehead. Strands of hair fell from her loose bun, creating a stark contrast to her usual perfect appearance. In fact, her headaches had never stopped since she discovered that Harper, that little bitch, had somehow escaped her mental control.

She pushed the door open to be greeted by darkness and her rapid pulse betrayed her anxiety - someone was waiting in the room.

Karina murmured, "Ignite". Under her spell, the flames of several candles flickered to life, illuminating the silhouette of a woman in the center of the room.

The woman slowly turned, revealing her creepy features, her hair white as snow, her skin pale as death, and her lips red as blood.

She approached Karina, radiating a powerful and terrifying aura that forced Karina to involuntarily lower her head.

"Karina, your companions have invested so much to make you the Luna of the werewolves, and we expect something in return." The woman's gaze was sharp and direct like invisible hands forcing Karina to meet their eyes. "Haven't you completed your mission? Why is that Alpha King's son still alive?"

"Sorry, Lily. I failed," Karina bit her lip, "Give me some more time. I won't let you down."

Lily squinted her eyes, "We don't have any more time. Werewolves have been tracking our coven in the north. They've cruelly killed some of our sisters. You don't want to witness a repeat of the tragedy from over a decade ago."

Karina clenched her fist, "I won't allow the shapeshifters to harm us again. Lily, you know me."

Lily took a few steps closer to Karina, reaching out to touch her cheek gently, "I know you're trying your best, Karina, but I can't vouch for you. The leaders think we should release Sofia from Salem Prison. They believe Sofia might be more suitable to control her daughter."

Lily's words hit Karina like a ton of bricks. Her anxiety and anger flared up in an instant, "That traitor?! It was she who put us in danger eighteen years ago."

"Sofia has already been punished enough," Lily said in a deep tone, "And she is undeniably one of the most gifted witches. Perhaps you shouldn't be so prejudiced against your sister."

"She's not my sister!" Karina gritted her teeth, her face contorted with disdain, "Have you all forgotten what she has done? A fool who led the werewolf army to the coven is worthy of being a witch?"

Lily's tone was undisturbed by Karina's questioning. She furrowed her brow slightly, "This decade of hiding has left us without even young blood. Your generation needs to step up to the plate instead of leaving the elders to worry about you. Sofia misses her daughter too, she might be able to convince that young girl to become one of us."

"That half-breed doesn't even consider herself a witch. She's hell-bent on becoming a werewolf. Just like that woman, she desires peace in the world and has fallen in love with werewolves, willing to do anything for them." Karina sneered contemptuously.

"She just needs someone to really teach her how to use the witch blood in her veins." Lily plucked a hair from her long dress with her crimson nails, "What about the boy you gave birth to? Pearson is coming with his army of bears to find you. He wants to see his son. Are you prepared to deal with him?"

"I'll handle him," Karina's gaze relaxed slightly, "the bears are obedient, they helped us kill many evil wolves."

"Don't trust any shapeshifter blindly. They can snap us to death if we don't have time to cast a spell." Lily took out a crystal and handed it to Karina, "Do what you're supposed to do, Karina. Don't disappoint us again."

Wyatt found himself surrounded by a haze, trying to recall what happened and why he ended up here, but his mind was empty and foggy.

As he moved forward, the scenery around him gradually became clear. Champagne-colored roses filled the air with a strong floral fragrance. The soft sunlight poured over pure white wicker chairs.

His gaze fixed on the sight before him. He felt he knew this scene but couldn't recall where he had seen it before. Fear washed over him. Painful memories flooded Wyatt's mind like a tidal wave. HE REMEMBERS IT NOW – this was his mother, Luna Louis's chamber.

Step by step, Wyatt moved forward. His heart pounded so loudly, it felt as if it might leap out of his chest. The scene before him became even more distinct.

The figure of his mother, Queen Louis, slowly emerged. Her graceful posture and noble aura were mesmerizing, but they also spoke of an irreversible tragedy.

In his mother's hands was a cup of tea filled with deadly poison, akin to a fruit hiding the kiss of death, awaiting the hand of fate.

Wyatt's heart sank into an icy pit as he wanted to scream, to save her, but everything was as if fixed in the track of time, unable to change.

"No!" Wyatt finally cried out, his voice filled with desperation and struggle as he desperately ran forward in an attempt to stop the tragedy. He forcefully pushed open his mother's door, but the scene before him shattered his heart.

Louis drank the cup of tea that had sealed her fate, her lips trembling slightly, but her eyes were calm, almost cold.

Wyatt roared as he rushed forward, reaching out his arms to embrace her, but the Queen fiercely pushed him away, denying him the touch of her skin, leaving him only to watch her collapse to the ground.

Blood flowed from Louis's lips, staining her pristine white attire like a fading flower. Her eyes were wide, speaking of endless pain and fear. Her mouth moved, and without a sound, she uttered a word - "traitor."

"MOM!!" Wyatt screamed hoarsely, but it seemed too late. The figure of the Queen began to blur as if fading away. He reached out, trying to grasp her, but he only touched emptiness.

Luna Karina, wearing her new crown, emerged from the darkness, a false smile on her lips, seemingly delighted with her victory.

Anger and grief overwhelmed Wyatt as he charged forward, ignoring everything, and gripped Karina's throat, shouting with all his might, "I'll kill you!"

However, Karina remained unfazed, instead laughing wickedly as if Wyatt's threat meant nothing to her.

"W...Wyatt...no!" Harper's scream snapped Wyatt back to reality. He realized that the person he was gripping tightly wasn't Karina.

It was Harper.
