Chelsea's Pov
The woman spat on the ground.
"That cursed beast! We used to be a powerful force and no one dared look down on us but Alaric, he fought and somehow defeated our master and we had to cower in fear and live in the shadows for hundred of years but not anymore, tonight our master will rise and take over the world!" The woman shouted.
Her supporters or whoever they were all chanted loudly after her, I was confused and uninterested at the same time.
"Don't you want to know who our master is?" The woman asked excitedly.
"Nope, if Alaric defeated him it means he was a bad person, and bad people need to be eliminated, keep the information to yourself." I said uninterestedly.
She was obviously angered by my words and she slapped me hard across the face, I coughed and spat out blood.
I laughed.
"Master will rise again and get rid of Alaric, bow now and maybe he'll show you mercy." She advised.
I snickered.
"If Alaric defeated him once then he'll do it again." I pronounced.
She got infuriated and raised her hands to slap me again when a voice stopped her.
"Stop Mekiya! We need her alive for the ritual." The voice said.
My heart skipped a beat, ritual?
The woman listened to whoever it was that spoke.
"Your friend is safe and when the ritual is done, she will be set free, enough chatting, let's get to the real deal shall we? Start the procession!" She said with a loud voice
The place fell silently immediately and clanging of ancient bells and sounds of drumming can be heard, the whole place began to shake for a minute before it abruptly stopped, a door opened and half naked men came in through the door, bearing a coffin on their shoulders, some maidens came in and lit the hundreds of candles I hadn't noticed early on a altar behind me, the woman made me face the altar and the coffin was placed on it.
The woman took a dagger, raised it up and the whole crowd bowed, she muttered some incorrigible words and slit her wrist, she let the blood drip on the coffin before opening it, after she was done, she signalled that I be brought closer.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked anxiously.
"The master has been asleep but now it is time to arise and take back what belongs to him and you're the key." She explained calmly.
"Are you out of your mind? You're sacrificing my life to raise a rusty old villain?" I yelled in disbelief.
"No, only your blood is needed." She replied.
"I don't care!" I shouted.
She laughed devilishly.
"Kratos! Come forward." She ordered.
I heard some footsteps approach, the person came forward and bowed to her, she drew a little line on his forehead with her blood.
"Take this dagger and get her blood." She ordered.
The man took the dagger from her and bowed.
"It is my honor." He said.
My breath almost seized, I recognize that voice, he turned to face me and came to me, when he stepped into the limelight I then realized who he was.
"Neo!" I spat venomously.
