"Few days back? Don't you have like doctors or healers or something?" I asked him.
"We do, they've tried their best and..." He explained.
I didn't let him finish when I interjected.
"What best did they try? He's miserable! Can't you see? Their best isn't enough, it left him this way!" I screamed.
A pain overwhelmed from the inside and I mourned loudly, I never knew this side of me existed and didn't bother trying to figure out why I was this bereaved and concerned.
"You all will find a way to make Alaric better else I'll kill you all, you hear me? If anything happens to him, I'll kill you all!" I threatened them.
"Chelsea." Torin said calmly.
"Get out, both of you, I want to be alone." I ordered and surprisingly, they both obeyed.
I crashed to the ground and began to cry, Torin said there was a high probability he wouldn't survive it, I laughed at myself.
"Didn't you say you don't want him that he's a monster? You're an hypocrite Chelsea,.why are you angry now knowing that he might die? Why are you so concerned? Why do you feel like if he's gone then you're as good as dead also? Why does your heart beat faster whenever you think of him? Why does his name bring a smile to your face? Why do you feel his pain?" I questioned myself.
I held his hand and sat on the ground for hours, I cried my eyes out, his hands were getting colder and I know what it means; he was dying, that moment I realized that I was just lying to myself that I didn't care about him, I've never been so scared in my entire life, my entire body shook with fear of losing him, how would I ever survive.
I sniffed back my tears and wet his cold hands with it, I rubbed his hands with mine to keep them warm but they were colder, he wasn't moving any more and his pulse was weak, I wiped away my tears coupled with the mucus that ran down my nose with the back of my left palm.
"Alaric, can you hear me? If you can hear me then please listen carefully, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I kept you waiting, I'm sorry I called you a beast, I called you a monster, I pushed you away and didn't acknowledge your love, I hurt you thinking it was for the best, and now that I realize that you are my life, I can't imagine a life without you, you're unconscious, do you know Alaric? That the months I spent away from you felt like hell? I tried to hide and brush it off but turns out it took you been on a sick bed and about to die for me to realize and accept how much I care about you, please don't leave me alone Alaric, I'd die if you live, do you know why? Because I love you." I cried.

Alaric's POV
"I love you, I love you so much Alaric, I'm afraid to admit it before and I'm sorry but now I know very well that you're my lifeline, please don't leave me alone, I'd die without you." I heard a feminine voice cry.
I slowly opened my eyes and shut them back almost immediately, my pupils couldn't adjust to the light at first but when I opened my eyes again, they were much better, I remembered being stabbed during the fight and also getting some treatments to make me wake up, I fell into a mini coma due to the fact that I wasn't entirely strong.
I only felt an empty endless void of darkness and loneliness, I longed for Chelsea's touch and almost gave up, there was nothing to live for, but something kept keeping me back, all of a sudden, I felt a familiar touch, it was heavenly and it made me smile, when I regained consciousness, my nostrils caught a familiar scent, and my wolf growled; mate.
I pretended to be still unconscious as Chelsea began to confess her feelings to me, my wolf did a backflip in happiness and I couldn't believe my ears.
"Alaric, please wake up, I promise to never push you away or doubt your love and intentions for me ever again." She said desperately, I couldn't help but chuckle.
I lifted my other hand and patted her hair, she didn't flinch at first and kept crying.
"I'm here Chelsea, how can I ever die when I know you'll miss me?" I weakly said.
She lifted up her head and stared at me, her face broke into a smile for a second, then she froze as it dawned on her that I was awake.
"Alaric! You're awake!" She screamed.
"You were begging me a moment ago to wake up,.why do you look so shocked to see me." I quietly said to tease her.
"You're awake!" She cried.
Before I could utter another statement; she leaned in and kissed me, she kissed me fiercely like I was running away, I chuckled on her lips and gave way for her to deepen the kiss, she ravished my lips as if they were food and she was hungry, I bit her lower lip and she took my full lips in hers.
I heard the shuffling of feet around and we broke the kiss, Torin and Cain stood before me, Cain was close to tears while Torin was just stoic, I knew he was relieved I was awake while Chelsea stood aside, probably shy she had been caught kissing me.
"Alpha." Cain said emotionally.
"Alaric." I sternly corrected.
He laughed and rushed to my side, he touched my wound cautiously and checked my body if there were anymore bruises.
"You're alive and fine!" He exclaimed happily.
"You didn't think I'd die just like.that do you?" I teased him.
"I dare not, you don't know how happy I am." He said excitedly.
Torin scoffed.
"Weakling, what took you so long? I thought you were dead already, I wanted to take possession of your throne and mate." Torin said playfully.
My wolf gave him a warning growl, I tried to calm him down, he wasn't taking any jokes that had to do with our mate, Torin raised his hands in surrender and we all laughed.
"It's good to have you back mate." Torin said.
"I know." I nodded.
