To End The War

F I A

Fingering my mother's necklace, I watched the approaching enemies.

"They are here," whispered a soldier next to me.

I bit my lower lip because I knew this was the long-awaited day when we had to fight.

"Fight for our Kingdom"

My voice cut through the uncertainty, and I directed it at those closest to me: three archers, two soldiers, and Edward.

"Follow me!" I commanded, pitching my voice perfectly.

They turned as one and locked eyes with me. Only Edward showed resistance, but I could see in his eyes that he was ready to fight.

Then I began to run towards the river, where Damon still struggled because Krid was trying to run away, but Damon was stubborn.

In my annoyance, I used my speed and strength to get closer quickly. I didn't waste any more time and extended my nails.

Without giving warning, I immediately removed its head from its neck.

The blood sizzled, and the rest of it splattered on me and the people around me.

I don't care! I need to fucking kill this traitor. I have endured this for a long time, and now, I feel its blood on my skin.

How dare he hurt my mate!

I stared at Damon, who was now watching me with shock in his eyes.

"He is here. We need to move Damon," I said, and it seemed that people understood what I was trying to convey.

Edward moved up to my right side.

At the same time, we saw the arrival of the enemies.

They need to fight together as one entity with a single purpose: four legs and four arms directed by a single mind.

"There are so many of them." A soldier whispered, and I could see the emotional concern.

There may be many of them, but most of them are forced.

Damon changed form and howled. He howled so loudly that the other soldiers followed him.

Amazingly, I saw how the other wolves on the enemy's side also howled and then bowed as if they recognized Damon as king.

I was right. Most of them have just been replaced, and they want to go back to Damon.

Damon howled again, telling them that he accepted them, so the wolves fought without warning.

"Those who want to fight-you can fight! And those who don't-please go to the safe place in the palace." I shouted, and they seemed to understand. Most of those on the enemy's side who returned to Damon were old, and the rest were young.

And I am not cruel to let them fight like Damon's father does.

They nodded and hurriedly ran while the rest fought with Damon's soldiers.

Giving them a chance to escape.

A blade was in my left hand, and I swung it in a short, lethal arc-and the nearest of my enemies shouted in pain. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Edward kill another of the werewolves.

Looks like we need to hurry

They were a lethal force and broke through the thin circle with ease. But when they crossed the river, there were at least nine werewolves who were aiming to attack us.

My jaw tightened when they first went to Damon, stabbing downward and Damon. I wanted to go there, but ten wolves were surrounding me, so I fought them with all my might.

Damon was doubly protected. It uses its strength to fight.

However, the greatest threat to his life came from the beast, which still had Damon's head in its jaws; Damon was groaning with pain and still struggling to be free. Damon's opponent is a big black wolf, and I never thought his father would have such a companion.

This wolf does not seem normal.

I knew we had to act quickly because the other werewolves behind us would regroup and, maybe next, attack the palace where the women and youths were hiding.

"Use your bows!" I commanded, and the three archers obeyed instantly, firing three arrows into the air. One embedded himself in the nearest woman, hurling her backwards into the mud.

After a second fight, the beast shook Damon's body like a dog with a rat before releasing its prey and running directly towards me, as if it hugged me with anger when I saw Damon's many wounds. I met the enemy's eyes and saw that I was still the primary target.

Damon's father seems to have ordered that I should be the one to focus on.

I selected a throwing knife and threw it straight at the beast. The dagger went into the wolf's left eye. While two arrows also found his other eyes, the second went straight into his open mouth and pierced his throat. It was Edward who put things to an end; he approached the wolf and buried his sword in its chest.

We reached Damon, and the two soldiers lifted him out of the mud and began to carry him. It was weak, so I approached it to put my palm on its wound.

"Heal." At the same time, as I mentioned, the wound healed immediately.

He smiled at me.

"I love you, D." I nodded and kissed him on the lips.

"I love you too, Damon." He kissed me again before he stood up and prepared himself to fight again.

"Follow them and make sure that the palace is safe," Damon said, and Edward hesitated, but in the end, he nodded.

Because they needed to accompany the other soldiers back to the palace, they had to keep an eye on what was inside and what other enemies might enter.

The lives of the people there are in danger.

"Be careful," Edward murmured, and I smiled in response.

"The truth is... I am afraid that I might lose you, Victoria. Every important person I have in my life died in my arms because I failed to protect them, and I am afraid that I might fail as your mate, too."

I remembered my mate's words.

I wanted to bring him victory, and I dedicated my battle to him and my family.

He injured himself to save me, but I am not a princess who needs saving. I am a warrior! And I won't die here.

Now I am ready-ready to kill. Ready to kill them all. I had become the mother of death, giggling with glee, leaving wet footprints of red blood on the green grass.

Can they hear my laughter?

I stood at the edge of the wood. As a result of the healing and from my own magic, I am strong, perhaps stronger than ever before.

I am so fast that my enemies are totally unaware of my presence. The prospect of combat excites me, and I am more than ready to fight and kill.

They expect an attack but do not know the precise moment when it will strike or from which direction. Thus, I retain some element of surprise. I like to attack when they least expect me to attack.

My blades are ready.

I attack. I was fast, so very fast. Never have I been faster!

One runs at me from the left. I drew and flicked the blade, all in one fluid movement. It catches the werewolf in the throat, and he falls heavily-now, who is next?

Where is the monster? Where can I find Damon's father?

I sniffed and immediately knew that it was far from me. It was far away, but with my speed, I could get close to it immediately. There were many enemies around him. It was as if he was being protected.

No matter. I would kill them first. My long blade is in my left hand now. I cut and killed werewolves who ran straight at me.

And finally, I came to a stop and waited for their attack. They encircle me and close in rapidly, moving towards me through the trees. They are eager to reach me. Tighter and tighter the circle becomes, and I hear feet drumming on the ground, getting louder and louder. Within seconds, the first of them would burst out of the corner of the trees, but I prepared myself to meet their possible attack.

This is the killing ground.

And far beyond the circle of blades, the monster was still waiting, one guard at his side.

Oh, dear monster! Soon, it will be your turn!

The bravest werewolves came in hard and fast, and they died first. I whirl and cut and spin, slicing and stabbing until the air is filled with the shrieks, curses, and screams of my enemies until the grass is slick with their blood.

And I will make sure they'll pay for it because I find it satisfying to pay them back with death.

My enemies fell back and began to flee. They seem to know they have nothing against us. Little by little, the enemy.

I know that Damon and its colleagues continue to fight.

But here I am. Now, there is only the monster and his last guard to deal with. The guard steps forward. He chants, and something invisible but deadly surges at me; I hear a ringing in my ears.

Damn, it's like something strange is whispering in my ear, and my whole body is hurting and weak.

Damn, he's a witch!

But how did it happen?

"Say hello to my son, my future queen. He's a witch. Can't you see I am compatible with anyone, Fia? And you being a half breed can give me a stronger son."

Damn! How does this have a child like this? Is it that greedy for power? He would use his son for power?

It doesn't even think about the Krid or Damon it used.

After using them and losing their use, they just throw them away suddenly.

I thought witches were extinct. I thought I was the last one who survived. But I was wrong. Although I may only have healer blood on my mother's side, it also has witch blood.

So, I secretly grinned.

"Ahh, I can see my son marked you, but after killing him, his mark will fade, Fia." He said, and I gasped in shock and anger. "Do you like the idea, Fia?"

I staggered and almost fell, and suddenly, I was weak and defenseless. Because his son strengthened his power, sending pain in my body.

Fuck this witch.

The man laughs and comes towards me, the weapon still pointing at my head, a blade readied in his other hand.

"Fia! No!" I heard my mate's voice, and my determination was back.

My mate is still waiting for me! I need to be strong!

"I will make sure you will submit to my father!" he cried.

He was less than ten steps away, so I didn't realize that my power was working and losing control of me. My power is stronger than anything he has at his disposal.

I showed my fangs, drew a dagger and threw it toward him. It buries itself in his leg, and he drops to one knee.

Seeing death in my eyes, I was immediately scared.

Too bad He's weak. He was not a trained witch.

"You may be a witch, but I am a healer! I can heal you! But I can also kill you." I promised, but it was still a shock.

"How did you fight my spell?" It was so stupid that I grinned.

"You have witch b-blood?" I couldn't believe what I said, so I laughed weakly.

"Damn! You are powerful, my queen. I didn't think you could be of greater benefit. I can't wait to have a son with you," the monster laughed and said madly.

"Father--" his son couldn't finish what he was going to say when the man immediately approached him and dug his claw into his back, which penetrated his chest.

"Useless." It rings true.

"Now that I'm no longer king. I can kill whoever I want without my wolf protesting. But look at Damon. It's getting weaker. His love for people and his weak heart and mind can make him useless. You'd rather Can the weak be together? With me. We can rule and become powerful." My jaw tightened. I don't care if it's stronger than Damon. What is important to me is the heart of my mate.

I would rather choose him than the monster in front of me with a heart without mercy.

"I won't choose you!" I screamed. "Now it's your turn! I am here to kill you! I will make sure you will not hurt Damon or our people again."

He gritted his teeth, shifted to his wolf form, and bounded towards me.

I whirl and spin, avoiding his sharp, poisonous fangs, and the hilt of my blade smashes hard into its mouth, making it a bloody ruin. It reminded me of what my kind suffered in the past, and I smiled.

Oh, monster! Your teeth can't kill me.

I laugh as it shakes its head and the shattered teeth fall from its mouth. Some of them are red with blood, and it is enraged as I move away; now, it is snarling and spinning like a mad dog trying to catch me. But it was slow, so very slow, and I was fast. We dance together, the dance of death that it promised me.

Oh, monster! Your eyes look wide.

My words are true because my blades have taken him stabbing faster than a blink. This time, I will not give him a chance to recover. This time, only death awaits it.

"Kill me." He said, and his eyes were a different color. It was his wolf.

I could see the sadness in his eyes, and I seemed to understand what was happening.

That's why I easily injured Damon's monster father.

His wolf is fighting him. He doesn't want to hurt me because I'm his son's mate.

His wolf loves his son. You can see it in his eyes as he looks at Damon who is now still fighting.

The longing in its eyes was imprinted in its eyes.

"Please love him. I know he will protect you. It's not like me. I was weak, and I couldn't even protect my mate's mother. This is the chance, lady, kill me... And be happy. Tell him... I love him." Tears fell from my eyes. I feel its hardship and sadness.

He loves his child and mate, but because of his human side's greed, he was unable to show the love he deserved for his family.

"I will." I said so, and he smiled and closed his eyes.

So, I narrowly buried my sword in his chest.

Goodbye.
