Thirty seven

N A T A L I A.

Seated on the chair in the cage my brother had kept me, I could feel the burning sensation of fire run through me. I knew it was from Rome and that scared me very much, I didn't know what was wrong with him. I was really scared and didn't know what to do, I felt so helpless. I could hear Bradox's voice, he was trying to speak to me but I was very distant, my brother had used a spell on me that had made me weak, I couldn't use my powers or my fire to get free, I was very helpless and life felt really bad at the moment.

"Natalia!" I heard Isiah's voice call out to me from outside the cage, I looked up very calmly to find him staring at me with a smile on his face. I looked away from him, the mere sight of him was annoying me. "I thought you were my best friend Isaiah, I thought you loved me," I said. I remembered all the memory we both shared and it brought tears to my eyes. It was sad to think that after finding my people, they would do this to me.

"It's not my fault, it's Simone that's doing all this, I have no part in this." He said, I lifted my head slowly.

"What are you trying to say?" I asked, he walked further towards the cage.

"Simone is under a spell, they are controlling him, they want to make use of his anger in other to kill the lethal king." He explained, I was very confused.

"Who are they?"' I asked, I was very confused.

"The griffins, those people you see all around the territory aren't dragons, it's only me, Simone, and Elena." He said. I was very confused.

"They are griffins? What do you mean? And who is Elena?" I asked, I was very confused.

"Elena is Simone's mate, she's a hybrid and she was the one that saved him when the Lethal

King tried to destroy the whole dragon species, she saved me as well and brought us over here." He said.

"How can I believe you? You've done nothing but hurt me ever since I've come here." I said I can't lose my guard.

"I swear by God, I'm not lying. I swear, Simone is under control, that is why he is doing what he is doing. He doesn't even know that you are Natalia, he is following their every command." He explained, I closed my eyes a bit. I was trying to see if I could give Simone full control of my powers, I wanted to let him out.

He couldn't get control, "Where is my mate?" I asked. He looked away, I knew the answer but I wanted to be sure.

"He is under the Amazonia volcano, I doubt he is alive." He said. I burst into tears, I felt very scared and pained, most especially because the bond I felt before was getting weak, and the pain, I could not feel anything.

"He is immortal, he won't die," I said, I was so pained. My heart was beating vigorously in my chest, I was in much pain.

"The Amazonia fire and dragon fire are the two things that can kill an immortal, so I'm sure he is dead Natalia." He said, I let out a shrill cry. I was in so much pain, my body was shaking vigorously, and I didn't know what to do.

"He can't die, I love him," I said.

"Shut up your fucking mouth, he is dead and there's nothing you can do about it, he is a very dangerous man and he deserves to die!" Isiah said, I didn't understand why his tone changed until I saw Simone approaching us with a guard behind him.

"Take her out of the cage Isiah!" Simone said, I simply stared at my brother with awe in my eyes, it hurt me so much to know that he did not know that I was his sister.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled at Isiah as he approached me, he stared at me with so much pity in his eyes, I knew he couldn't do anything to help me and all this wasn't his fault, but I still felt a bit betrayed by him. They had used him to trick me into thinking that he was Rome, and he could have easily told me everything but he didn't.

"When I untie you, whisper the word 'Vantinzo' and your powers will be free, go to the Volcano and see if you can save your mate, he might not be dead, Simone told me through the mind link." He said, he acted as though he was finding it hard to untie me.

"Thank you!" I whispered to him, he untied me and immediately pretended to kick him. "Thank you, I'm sorry!" I whispered. I knew he knew what I did was a distraction in other not to get him in trouble, I whispered the words and I sent a fire flying over to Simone as he was trying to reach out to me.

"You're not my brother!" I yelled, I gave Bradox quick control and he took over, he came out of me and immediately grabbed me on his back.

"Veraleso Kasuni (This isn't you Kasuni!)" Bradox said to Simones's dragon as we took up, he busted out of the cell and immediately flew very high, I laid on his back, I was very tired and scared, I didn't want to imagine what was happening to Rome at the moment. It scared me very much.

"Bradox, Amazonia volcano!" I said to him, he paused a bit and then flew with great speed. I held onto him tightly as I laid on his back.

"Tabejam bo (You'll be okay!)" He said, I held onto his tighter, I could feel the heat as we approached the Amazonia Volcano, I knew we were very close, my heart began to beat vigorously, and the imagination of me losing him filled my heart.

"Bradox, can I enter into the fire?" I asked, I was a dragon and fire can't hurt me.

"Farimaz bosono vamin! (You're a Dragon, no fire can hurt you.)" He said, I hugged him tightly, I laid on his back, and enjoyed the warmth that came with being very close to my dragon.

We flew for thirty minutes, I kept on looking back in case Simone or the griffons were after me. I remember griffons, they are disgusting creatures and all they've ever wanted in this life is power, I know them and they smell like dragons.

"We're here!" I said immediately my gaze fell upon the gigantic volcano, and a surge of fear filled my heart, I was scared of not finding my mate, I didn't know why, but I was not so certain that I would find him. I've read about the Amazonia volcano once, it is very lethal and can destroy whatever goes into it, except dragons, of course, people believe that our powers are gotten from the Amazonia fire.

"Bradox, stop here," I said to him, he began to slow and slowly descend on the ground, the fire boiled and a bit touched my arm as he came down.

"Ouch!" I yelped, it was not painful, but it felt warm.

"Why is it warm on my skin Bradox?" I asked.

"Jarandoz Valley, Iva pura ton (It's very hot, but it's nothing you can't handle." He said, I nodded.

"I'll go in. If I don't come out early, come get me," I said to Bradox, he slapped his on the ground. I looked down into the boiling volcano and began to go down calmly, the warmth engulfed me but I wasn't going to stop, my mission was to get my mate, I can't lose him just like that, I'm not willing to let him go.

"Calm down!" I whispered to myself as I climbed into the fire. I walked slowly, making sure not to fall, I looked down below and I saw a casket lying down below, I was certain that was Rome, the casket was surrounded by fire and I was shocked that it had not burnt down to ashes.

"Rome!" I yelled, I continued climbing down, I tried using my fire to help me fly but it was hard controlling it because of the Amazonia magic, it was stronger now that I was standing in the source.

"Rome!" I yelled again, I tried holding onto the sharp edge of the volcano wall in other to help me jump. I tried to pull myself up but it wasn't easy, I felt my hand bleeding as I held the sharp edge tightly.

"Rome!" I yelled again, hoping he could hear me, I was so tired but I had to do this for him. I managed to lift myself calmly and I skillfully jumped onto the other layer of the volcano. I kept on going, tears streaming out of my eyes, I felt so stressed out and tired. I jumped to the other layer, the boiling fire looked as though it was calling to me. It kept on boiling and rising!

"She's in there!" I heard an unfamiliar voice say, I felt my heart skip a beat, they are here. I immediately jumped to the other side of the volcano, I was getting very close to the casket and I could feel a surge of power pull me towards it.

"There she is! Don't let her get to the Lethal king, he'll kill us all if she lets him out!" A man yelled, I turned around to find a mob of griffon men climbing into the volcano. I immediately started walking in very quickly, I walked at a very fast pace, an arrow was fired into my arm, I yelled, a scream that echoed through the volcano, the arrow had some sort of poison in it, it made me feel very weak and a surge of pain filled my head. I yelled again, the pain was so much, I couldn't take it. I fell to the ground slowly.

"She's down! Kill her!" I heard my brother's voice say, I tried lifting my head and I saw him standing above me, I let out another scream, I was so scared. I have lost, my mate will be harmed, and he will get hurt.

"Don't do this Simone! I'm your sister!" I yelled, I was down and my body was hurting, I was in so much pain, the poison was slowly taking hold of me.

"Ahhhh!" I squealed, the pain was much and my body was shaking violently. Simone slowly descended before me, he grabbed my hair and yanked it up.

"Please, Simone! Don't do this, I'm your sister." I said very softly, he slammed my head on the floor and a shrill scream left my lips.

"You're not my sister! I hate you!" I slammed my head again, blood sipped out of my head, I was so pained, my brother, my only family was hurting me.

"I will kill you!" He said, "After that, I'll destroy the Lethal King and the werewolves!" He tried slamming my head again but his arm froze in the air, I looked behind me to find Rome, his arms were up in the air and his eyes looked red, that wasn't his wolf in control, his demon was out.

"How dare you hurt my mate?" He yelled, immediately his voice resonated through the volcano, and everyone who had come to fight ran away. A smile immediately danced its way onto my face at the sight of him, he didn't look hurt at all, he was dressed in all black he looked very handsome.

"Rome," I called out to him.

"You! I can finally kill you." Simone said, his arms still up in the air.

"How can you kill me when you are under my control?" Rome said, his eyes still red.

"Fight like a real man, don't use your powers to support you," Simone said.

"Rome doesn't listen to him, it isn't him, he's under a spell," I yelled, Rome's eyes did not change at all, he still looked very pissed off.

"Face me like a fucking man Rome Lethal," Simone yelled.

"I'm a fucking man, but what are you?" Rome's eyes slowly began restoring to normal.

"Rome!" I called, tears began streaming down my eyes, and he smiled.

"Enough with the staring contest, I'm going to kill your fucking mate," Simone yelled, he grabbed me and suddenly began extending his dragon fangs, he was ready to bite my head off.

"Simone, I'm your sister," I said, he smiled mischievously and jumped down to the other side of the volcano. Rome tried stopping him but he sent a rock flying towards Rome's head with his telekinesis.

"I'm going to kill you now, you deserve to die, how can you choose the Lethal king over me? I'm your brother." He said tears streaming out of my eyes.

"This isn't you, Rome can help you, just stop all this," I said, he wasn't listening. He extended his dragon claws.

"I'm going to feed your heart to the griffons!" He said, his fingers slowly starting to penetrate my chest. I screamed, I could hear Bradox yell, he could also feel the pain.

"You'll die too" He got cut short, he fell to the ground, and behind him was Rome, holding onto his heart. My brother's lifeless body lay on the floor, I screamed and fell as well.

"You killed my brother!" I whispered before falling to the ground.

R O M E.

After she had fainted, I picked her up and snapped my fingers, I figured out that my powers could work all this time. They were cowards, they injected me with something that made me very weak, I fell asleep and they put me in a coffin and tried to bury me in boiling fire.

I teleported into my room and immediately performed a healing process on her. I placed my hand on her and began saying some witch mantras, suddenly, her wound started closing and she breathed in deeply and her eyes opened.

"Where is Paradox?" She yelled as soon as she opened her eyes, but suddenly she calmed, probably because he had spoken to her or something.

She shifted her gaze over to me. "Where is my brother?" She asked, I looked away calmly, I didn't know what to say to her.

"He's dead Natalia, he tried to kill you," I said very softly.

"He didn't try to kill me, he was under control, he didn't know what he was doing Rome, you killed my poor brother." She said she was crying hysterically.

"I'm sorry I had..." She cut me off with a very harsh slap.

"I hate you! You ruined my life once again," She slapped me again, and Blaze whimpered.

"I hate you Rome Lethal, I should have never loved you, a man like you can never be loved." She said she got down from the bed, I didn't try to stop her, she was right, I ruined her life once again.
