Chapter Sixty Eight

Chapter Sixty Eight
I watched everything with irritation, Nyx mirroring my feelings.

“You come here a lot?” I asked as we entered the house.

“Not really, whenever I ran out of sage oil,” he replied.

My gaze landed on a coat rack by the door. I grabbed a coat from it and flung it at Darius. He caught it and started putting it on. It didn’t cover much, but it was better than nothing.

Let her see mine.

I caught Darius staring, a smile tugging at his lips. If that face wasn’t cute, I would’ve punched it.

“What can I offer you?” she asked as we sat on the couch, my body nearly merging with Darius's.

Her house smelled like earth and oranges. It smelt sweet, ugh.

“Anything, we’re starving. But first, water,” Darius replied, pulling me closer with that grin on his face.

I took a look at him. I hadn’t seen this guy this free with anyone since I met him, well, except me, but he was smiling too much, and it was pissing me off.

What is so damn pleasant in this room?

His eyes caught mine again, and I mimicked his expression and scoffed, rolling my eyes.

“Okay, why don’t you freshen up while I get the table set?” she suggested, her eyes looking us over before she left.

She offered us water and then went to the kitchen, while Darius led me to a part of the house that led to the bathroom.

“You seem awfully familiar with this place,” I muttered, hiding the jealousy in my tone.

Well, tried to.

“Lena and I… we just have an understanding. She helped me once, and I've kept her informed about rogue activities.”

The explanation didn't satisfy me, but I didn't want to irritate him.

He switched on the shower, steam rising immediately, and pulled me closer until the water ran over both of us. His chest pressed against my back, and I felt his dick rising.

I found my fingers going towards it as he washed my body.

“Don't start what you won't finish, Kitten,” he murmured, tilting my neck slightly so his lips hovered near my ear. His other hand moved slowly to my boobs, washing them gently.

I left him alone. Not that I wouldn't mind him fucking me here so that bitch could know who owns this male, but… the day has just been… a lot.

Darius, however, was still in the mood, his hands moving from washing to squeezing my boobs, pinching my nipples, and fuck… his dick on my ass was just messing with my head.

“You trying to relive memories you had here with your lover?” I hissed, pushing back my ass towards him.

His breath tightened against my neck.

“No, baby, there are no such memories. I want to create one now.”

Before I could respond, he guided me back gently against the tiled wall, water trailing down my spine as the heat between us sharpened and he parted my legs. I didn't protest; my body was on fire.

He started tapping his dick on my clit, and the water running on my back made my pussy more intense.

“Put it in, baby, please,” I begged.

He was about to, the tip finding my entrance when –

“Table is set,” the witch’s voice called, followed by a knock on the bathroom door just as he was about to slide it in.

“Fucking bitch,” I sneered, pushing off from the wall, the mood ruined.

“Come on, love, she can wait,” he tugged me slightly, but I shook my head.

“Nope, no longer interested,” I shot back, grabbing the towel from the corner and storming out of the bathroom.

A sweet, familiar aroma drifted from the dining area, making my stomach growl. The table was packed full of tacos and burritos.

“Umm… you just made this? Now?” I asked, picking a seat as Darius joined me.

She nodded, smiling as she walked away toward the refrigerator.

“What’s your favourite drink?” she called from the corner.

“Anything works,” I answered, my voice a little high as I collected the tacos Darius was handing me.

“Alright then, lucky you, Darius, I got your favourite,” she said as she walked back to the dining table.

Is she being real right now?

She sat opposite me, her gaze fixed on me for a while before shifting to Darius, and then back to me again.

“I met Darius eight… ten years ago,” she began, a huff escaping her.

No one asked, but I was listening anyway.

“Captured is the right word,” she laughed, sweet and sharp. “But when I saw how strong he was, I knew he would be useful to my people and me. Although these days, he's been quite busy.”

“Well, now you know why,” I muttered, going back to my food. They could have been married in another life for all I care; he's mine now, and nothing is changing that!

I'm marking him the second I get the chance.

She finally removed her eyes from me, picked up a taco, and started eating. Everywhere became silent except for the sounds of our lips and plates.

She leaned closer and examined my tattoo.

“Your white wolf tattoo is inside,” she explained. “Whichever form you shift into last, the tattoo will come forward. That’s all we need to do. It will also mask each other’s scent. When you fully accept both, they can merge and become one.”

“Move in deep in her inner thigh,” Darius suggested

She left briefly and returned with a small box. She set it on the floor and sat in front of me.

“Come and sit here,” she called.

I walked over and sat by the box.

She opened it to reveal crystals of different colors.

She picked the white and black ones and carefully placed them near my tattoo, and then began chanting.

The words didn't make sense to me, but I've heard that language already; it seemed to be what all witches used for their magic. I knew so little about them.

Gradually, a warmth spread through me, my body relaxing, my eyelids growing heavy. Before I knew it, darkness enveloped me, and everything went black.
