Chapter 170: The end

Chapter 170: The end
Olivia

Five years later

"That was fascinating," Gary said during our first meeting with a pack that had traveled from afar to seek our services.

"I'm still amazed at how wolves are so brilliant and strong, yet when it comes to cybersecurity and protecting their packs beyond just having warriors, they seem completely lost" I laugh. The young human had been working with us for years, becoming an essential part of our company. It had taken me time to convince many wolves that humans were the ideal candidates for this kind of work, as technology was something far more natural to us. My idea had paid off, and for some time now, we had been reaping the rewards of our efforts. Silver Enterprises had become synonymous with power and excellence, and I was its proud CEO.

Time had passed, and many had doubted that a human, let alone a woman, could achieve this. But I had proven them wrong. I was Luna and the ultimate boss, as everyone called me. According to Aaron, I was the most powerful human woman ever known.

"You’ll see, soon we’ll have every pack on our side," I said as we left the meeting, handing out some notes to my secretaries. I missed Peggy, she had moved to the Southern regions, now the Luna of Alpha Samuel, a match made in heaven if you asked me.

"Everything is set, Luna," Orlando assured me, always keeping a watchful eye on me as I arranged meetings for the next day with Alana and Aaron. They had recently had a baby and were preparing to return to work. We had grown so much, and the pack was stronger than ever!

When I stepped out of the grand offices, someone was waiting for me outside with a bouquet of roses. Christopher had only grown more dreamlike over the years, I had always dreamed of a relationship like this—one built on love, respect, and the deepest desire. Some days, we couldn’t even concentrate, we were all over each other, and both the company and the pack had to function on their own. A few years ago, he had started taking over the businesses Joaquín had left behind long ago. It was a complicated job, but we knew it would bring success in the future.

"How was your day?" he asked after giving me a deep kiss.

"We have new clients, so there will surely be more to come," I replied, making him chuckle. We got into the car, and before starting the engine, he asked,

"Are you ready?"

"Yes," I nodded.

The drive was just as beautiful as I remembered. I had nearly forgotten the terrible episodes of war, the kidnappings, the deaths, and the fire… As we arrived at the small town where we had once lived, the oldest memories began to resurface. We had restored the house as best we could. From the outside, it looked almost exactly as it had when my father and I lived here together, when Casey and Chris would spend afternoons telling stories and preparing dinner.

"There you are!" I said, delighted to see my family. Cassandra stood holding Dylan’s hand while he carried one of their little ones, and she held my child.

"Mama, Mama!" Stefan cried as he ran toward me. I swear he was the most beautiful child I had ever seen! It had been a struggle to conceive, and we had tried for years, but we finally had our future alpha. Cassandra and her mates had beaten us to it, already having three children. The youngest, Oliver, was in her arms, and I was his godmother.

"I love you so much, my little one," I said, hugging my son and covering him with kisses while Christopher picked him up.

"Cedric stayed behind working, but he sends his regards. We’ll see him tonight at dinner," Casey said. I felt proud of her. She was an important Luna and the chief warrior of the Southern Wolves pack—exactly what she had always wanted.

Between our pack and theirs, we had established undeniable dominance in the region. With the Southern regions on our side as well, the monopoly was complete. But it wasn’t about controlling and dictating prices—it was about spreading our vision of collaboration with humans and ensuring protection for all. I knew it would be a long road, but to me, it was the only goal worth fighting for. Peace was everything. We all entered the house, where, in one corner, we had placed a small memorial with flowers and photographs to honor my father. His loss would never be forgotten, not by me, nor by anyone who understood what he had meant to us. The house had become a gathering place for the community and was always open to those in need.

"Grandpa’s house," Stefan said, and I kissed his cheek loudly.

"That’s right. Grandpa was very kind to me and to Aunt Cassandra. He taught us so much, and without him, none of us would be here," Chris said, his words filling me with warmth. We spent some time reminiscing about him and our lives here. Each anniversary became easier, especially because there was so much to celebrate. As evening fell, we returned to the pack, where Cedric awaited us, along with Mathias and Elena, Cassandra’s other children.

"We’ve prepared a special night," the alpha said, handing us drinks. The delicious aroma of food was already in the air. It had been a long day, but returning to family was always comforting. For hours, we talked and laughed. Orlando played the guitar and sang with Daniel. Cassandra alternated between kissing Cedric and sitting on Dylan’s lap. Alana and Aaron gazed at their little girl with pure adoration, while I thought about the past and everything we had been through.

"Are you okay?" Christopher asked, wrapping his arms around me from behind. I had been staring at the moon, lost in thought.

"I’m reflecting on our story and everything that’s happened," I whispered. He kissed my neck, over his mark, making me sigh with happiness.

"I think your father and my mother would be very proud of what we’ve become. Not to mention, they would have gotten along very well," he mused, making me chuckle.

I looked into those gray eyes that had captivated me since I was young. He wore his wedding ring and the wolf-head cuff links.

"I’m sure of it, wherever they are," I said, caressing his face.

"They will see that we changed the world, the human world and the wolf world. We even changed this land, this territory, this town, and erased the evil that once plagued us. It will never happen again," he said, looking at me with a smile. "That is our legacy, the one we will pass on to our children. And all thanks to a human girl—a nerdy girl I once called my assistant, but who was the love of my life. We fought together for the future we deserved. Thank you for accepting this stubborn wolf."

"You are my stubborn wolf," I said with a smile, "and my mate."

"Yours. Always yours."
