Chapter 307: Her Disguised Identity Should Be Removed
Samuel looked at her in astonishment.
Amelia shrugged. "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you surprised?"
Samuel nodded.
"I thought you would refuse. You've been hiding your identity all along."
Amelia sighed and said helplessly. "I used to hide my identity for two reasons. First, the Shadow Operations Division was being hunted by the government, and various forces were eyeing us closely. Revealing my identity would only push me into the spotlight."
Of course, there was also another reason - she didn't know if the Richardson family could be trusted.
She had trusted Piper one last time and nearly got sold out.
Besides, after all these years, she'd seen too much of how cold people could be and knew that trust shouldn't be given lightly.
But now things were different.
The Richardson family were her real family.
Real family were people you could turn your back to.
She didn't need to worry about the Richardson family stabbing her in the back.
Moreover, the Hays family could never rise again, and Micah had been taking good care of the Shadow Operations Division, even willing to accept them.
She no longer needed to hide her identity.
"For the old me, hiding my identity was to avoid trouble. Now revealing it serves the same purpose."
People like the Wood family actually dared to put on airs in front of her.
She needed to stop this kind of thing from happening so she wouldn't have to deal with it.
After hearing her explanation, Samuel understood why she had agreed so readily.
"So you've thought it all through."
"Yes."
"Then what's your plan?"
He had several ideas but wanted to hear Amelia's thoughts first.
Amelia blinked.
"The first thing to do is attend Geraldo and Grant's oil painting exhibition."
It was time to reveal her hidden identities one by one.
"I can already imagine how ugly the faces of those people who think you're just some worthless woman from the countryside will look." Samuel was unusually mischievous, wanting to see Amelia humiliate them.
"We'll get to enjoy their expressions soon enough."
"Then I need to quickly finish what's on my plate so I can go back to Goldenvale with you."
Amelia nodded. "Me too. I haven't arranged future work for many people in the Shadow Operations Division yet. I'll take this opportunity to sort out their futures. It's the least I can do after everything we've been through together."
Samuel looked at her deeply and said, "You know what?"
"What?"
"Being your subordinate or friend is a very fortunate thing."
In the past, he had been very strict with his people, and equally strict with himself.
Until he met Amelia.
Now he no longer did things the way he used to.
Being strict with subordinates was good - it could train their abilities - but you also had to consider their feelings.
"I've learned a lot from you," Samuel said seriously.
Amelia replied. "Actually, I've learned a lot from you too. I used to feel like I was an emotionless machine, but now I feel like I have flesh and blood."
"Why does it sound like we're flattering each other?"
"It does seem a bit like that."
"How about we do something that husbands and wives should do?"
Amelia's face immediately turned red.
"In broad daylight, aren't you ashamed!"
"We are a proper married couple now. What's there to be ashamed of?"
Samuel pulled her by the waist and lifted her up in his arms.
Amelia let out a small cry and patted Samuel's chest.
"Put me down!"
"No."
He strode inside.
The servants cleaning inside saw Samuel carrying Amelia in and quickly turned away with their backs to them, pretending to be deaf and blind.
Soon they went upstairs.
Amelia was placed on the big bed in her room by Samuel.
She had just sat up when Samuel pushed her back down.
She instinctively tried to push Samuel away, but heard him say very solemnly, "Amelia, we're husband and wife now."
He was saying it to her, but also seemed to be saying it to himself.
Amelia's heart pounded like thunder.
She was his wife.
Her face flushed with shyness, but she took the initiative to cup Samuel's face and kiss him.
Samuel froze for a moment, then kissed her back forcefully, his body pressing hard against her slender waist.
Amelia was sensitive everywhere, with delicate and tender skin.
Wherever his kisses landed, red marks appeared.
Soon the sheets became a mess, like waves surging across them, rising and falling.
After what seemed like forever, Amelia couldn't take it anymore.
She was soft from head to toe, feeling like she had melted into a puddle of water.
Last time, she had felt some pain.
This time she only felt endless pleasure.
It was just that her stamina couldn't keep up.
She never knew her stamina was so weak.
Or maybe Samuel's stamina was too good.
After countless times, Samuel still had plenty of energy while Amelia was completely spent.
She cried and begged for mercy.
Samuel kissed away the tears at the corners of her eyes and finally stopped, getting up to take a shower.
When he came back, he brought a basin of water and a towel, wiping her skin clean inch by inch.
Seeing the red marks he had left, Samuel felt regretful.
He should have been gentler.
But actually, he had already been quite restrained.
It was just that her skin was too tender.
The only rough part of her entire body was her hands.
Everywhere else was like jelly.
After cleaning everything, Samuel finally felt a bit tired too.
The two lay together.
Samuel's large hand rested on her flat belly.
"When will we have our own child?"
"Not now," Amelia said. "I want to be a beautiful bride. I don't want to be pregnant at my wedding."
Samuel laughed.
"Okay, whatever you say."
He hadn't finished inside Amelia.
Unless she took the initiative to say she wanted a child.
If Amelia never wanted children, he didn't mind either. At worst, they could adopt one, or when Jeremy had children, they could ask him to give them one.
However, he privately still wanted a child with Amelia.
That would be proof of their love.
But he also felt bad that she would have to go through hardship.
With such conflicting thoughts, he gradually fell asleep.
Amelia, on the other hand, was unusually alert.
Her most tired and sleepy moment had passed, and she was just lying there with Samuel.
Finally, she couldn't lie still anymore. She quietly lifted the covers and was about to get out of bed when Samuel's arm wrapped around her waist.
"Where are you going?"
"You weren't asleep?"
"I slept for a bit. I'm a light sleeper."
"Did I wake you?"
"It's fine, I'm not angry."
Samuel turned over and sat up, asking if she was hungry.
Amelia nodded honestly.
Before they knew it, it was already evening.
The sunset filled the room, making the floor seem to glow golden.
The heating in the room was already quite warm, making people feel lazy.
Amelia said, "I am hungry, but I don't want to go out."
"Then let's eat in the room today."
"Is that okay?"
"As long as you want to, why not? I'll arrange it. What do you want to eat?"
However, just as he finished speaking, Yosef's call came through.
