Nice?
AURORA'S POV
A few more days went by. I stayed inside my golden room, but I stopped crying all the time. The Alien King did not come back. Maya and Nora brought me food, and I spent my time exploring the huge house.
I found a shelf full of books. They were not made of paper; they were made of thin, clear sheets that glowed when I touched them and I studied them.
The books talked about space history and showed me what life was like for the Alien king before he lost his daughter. He looked quite happy.
Slowly, I began to be fascinated by the discoveries of space. This fascination was proof that I had started to feel a little bit better.
On this particular morning, I was sitting by the big window. The purple sun was warm on my skin.
Purple suns came out on Sundays in alien calendar and a different color of the sun came out on other days. I read that since this planet was far from the main sun, the Aliens had to work up something with their technology to give themself natural day lighting. So, they decided to be creative with coloring the sun.
I felt so relaxed that I started to sing a song my mom used to hum back home. My voice sounded pretty in the big room. I picked up one of the glowing books and started to read.
It was a book about the history of the Alien Royal Bloodline.
The book said that the highest royal bloodline could do more than just change skin color. They could actually turn into other species if they spent enough time studying them.
"This explained why he could switch between his Alien and human form," I whispered to myself.
As I was reading, I heard the doors creak open. I looked up, expecting to see Maya with more food--but it was him, the Alien King.
He walked into the room, and the air immediately felt thick. It was hard to breathe.
He often carried along with him, a heavy and inviting aura.
He looked at me, and his red eyes weren't mean today, they were soft. Then, right in front of me, his body started to move and shift.
The purple color faded away. His skin turned into a warm, tan color, just like a person who spent all day in the sun. His muscles got bigger-- looking more chiseled like an athlete than a giant.
His hair turned dark and wavy. But the biggest change was his eyes. The glowing red vanished, replaced by a sweet and sexy deep, beautiful brown.
He looked like he could walk down a street on Earth and every girl would stop to look at him.
"Is this better, Aurora?" he asked. His voice didn't rumble like thunder anymore. It was smooth and deep. "I know you love it when I turn human. I heard you said my eyes are red and scary. Sorry about that."
I quickly stood up, the glowing book falling from my hands.
I stared better at him.
He looked so captivating--stunningly beautiful!
He was wearing a simple white shirt that was open at the neck and dark pants. He looked so much like home that it made my heart ache.
"You... you look real," I breathed. "So...so handsome."
"I am real," he said, stepping closer.
As he got near me, that smell hit me again. It was the same smell from the ship, but now that he was fully human, it was even stronger. It smelled like rain, wood, and something hot.
Something in me, low and enchanting was screaming MATE MATE.
Suddenly, my knees felt weak. A sharp spark of heat shot through my body, starting between my legs and moving up to my chest. My heart started to race. I felt my skin getting pink and sweaty. The "HEAT" was coming back.
My pussy started to throb, and I felt a wet drip run down my thigh.
I tried to back away, but my body wouldn't move. I wanted to run, but I also wanted to reach out and touch his new, warm skin. I was looking at a human man, but my body knew he was the powerful male who had marked me as his mate.
"Oh no," I whispered, gripping the edge of the table. "Not again. Please."
He saw my face change. He saw the way I was breathing hard. He knew exactly what was happening. He didn't look scary anymore; he looked like he wanted to catch me.
"The fever is back," he said softly, reaching out his hand. "But this time, I won't let you fight it alone."
I gripped the edge of the table. My hands were shaking. I looked at him, really looked at him. He didn't have purple skin anymore. He didn't have red eyes. He looked like a man from Earth, with warm skin and dark hair that fell over his forehead. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen.
"How?" I whispered. My voice was small. "How are you doing this?"
"I am a King, Aurora," he said. He took one slow step forward, but then he stopped. He was giving me space. "My body can be whatever I want it to be. If you want a human, I will be a human for you."
I felt a sharp pull in my stomach. The heat was moving through me like a slow fire. My pussy felt heavy and wet, and every breath I took smelled like him. It was a clean, strong smell that made me want to move closer to him.
"You're not touching me," I noticed. I was breathing hard, my chest moving up and down.
"I won't," he said. His brown eyes were dark and full of a deep hunger, but he kept his hands at his sides. "I know you are scared. I know you miss the Crab King and your home. I will not force you to be with me, even if the heat is calling."
I looked at him, confused. "But... the book said it hurts if you don't help."
"It does," he said. A small muscle moved in his jaw. He looked like he was in pain too. "But I would rather be in pain than have you hate me. I will stand right here. I will talk to you. I will stay until the fever breaks, just so you aren't alone in the dark."
I felt a tear run down my face.
Why was he suddenly being this patient and nice to me?
Had he somehow heard all the things I said about him? Why was he making me feel safe.
"Why are you being so nice?" I asked.
"Because you are my mate," he said. His voice was a low, sweet rumble. "And a King protects his mate. Even from himself."
We stood there in the quiet room, looking at each other. I was burning up, my body was begging for him, but for the first time, I wasn't just scared. I was curious.
