Time For Her
ALIEN KING KARN'S POV
(Before going into the room to be with Aurora).
I was about to be with my queen.
I wanted to show her the kind of man I was and fully intitate her into womanhood when I got a call on my Alien Smart Cell.
Kraye the crab motherfucker had yet, found a way to rise from the dust, sending his troops after me again. When would his idiot rest?!
I hissed and walked out of the room and into the hallway.
I went outside with my binoculars.
"King Karn," my loyal legion reported. "I don't know who Kraye has called. He has a companion. And that companion is even more ruthless than him. They have been shooting missles and we have lost ten men."
What?! A companion?
I thought all the elders of the Galaxy said they hated the greedy fuck and he was the worse government official ever. Who was giving him alms?
Who was helping him with support and who was encouraging him to fight against me?!
I stood on the bridge of my warship, my hands gripping the command chair so hard the metal began to bend.
My eyes were locked on the big screen. In the dark void of space, I saw Kraye’s gold ship. He was not alone. His younger brother, Vrax, was flying a smaller ship right next to him.
I knew it was his brother Vrax because I had fought alongside both of them before. Vrax had helped me when the humans killed my daughter. He sent his men to fight alongside me.
I knew the shape of his spaceship.
Tsk.
I felt a cold smile touch my purple lips. I knew these two. Long ago, we were friends. We used to drink and hunt together.
But that was before Kraye tried to steal my Aurora. He had brought this war upon himself. He had forced me to become the beast he always feared.
I did not blame Vrax because him and Kraye were siblings. I would not expect him to put his brother before me. Same way I would not put my brother before anyone.
Vrax should at least advice his brother to stop stealing people's women.
"I did not want to do this to you, Kraye," I whispered, my voice deep and rough. "I did not want to kill an old friend. But you touched what is mine. You tried to take my Queen. You left me no choice."
"My King, they are locking their lasers on us!" the pilot shouted. The ship began to shake as blue light hit our shields. "Vrax wants to release alien spiders on us. You know he is the king of Alien insects. If he does, the spiders will take us down. What do we do?"
My pilot was panicking.
"Let them," I growled. "We are going to fight dirty. If they want to play games in the dark, I will show them how a real King wins."
"But my king...no one knows how to control the spiders apart from the insect whisperers.."
"Shhh!! Not one more word from you. You hear me?" I cautioned and my pilot bobbed his head, swallowing some saliva.
I pushed a button on my desk. I sent out a fake signal to their ships. I made it look like my engines were breaking and my shields were down on the left side. It was a trick—a dirty, low lie to make them come closer.
Vrax was young and greedy. He saw the "weak spot" on my ship and dove in. He pulled his ship away from his brother’s side, wanting to be the one to kill me, the Alien King.
Pretty sure the idiot wanted to put it in his resume that he killed me. He would use it to brag for a century. In space, if you killed a king, you would be awarded a new planet. I'm sure that's what he wanted.
"Vrax, no! Pull back! It is a trap!" Kraye’s voice screamed over the radio. He sounded terrified.
"Too late, little Prince," I said.
I hit the fire button. Four massive black-matter missiles shot out from the belly of my ship. They were silent and fast. They hit Vrax’s golden ship all at once. There was a giant purple explosion that ate through the metal like acid.
I watched the camera feed closely. I saw the glass of his cockpit shatter. I saw Vrax’s face for one second—his eyes were wide with shock. Then, his body was sucked out into the freezing cold of space. His ship turned into a cloud of glowing dust and broken gold.
"VRAX! NO! BROTHER!" Kraye’s voice blasted through the speakers. He was sobbing. It was the sound of a broken man.
"That is one brother gone, Kraye," I said into the radio. My voice was cold and deadly. "Are you next? Or do you want to run home to your father like a dog?"
Kraye did not answer. On the screen, I saw his gold ship turn around. He pushed his engines to the limit, fleeing into the dark. He was retreating, leaving the remains of his brother behind.
I threw my head back and laughed. It was a loud, mean sound that filled the room. I had crushed his heart just like he tried to crush mine.
"Let him run!" I shouted to my men. "Let him go home and tell everyone what happens when you cross the Alien King."
I turned away from the screen. My blood was pumping hot. Killing made my heat grow. I felt powerful and hungry. I thought about Aurora waiting for me in the back of the ship. I could almost smell her sweet scent through the metal walls.
"Set the course for home," I told the pilot. "And do not disturb me. I have a Queen to claim."
I walked off the bridge, my black cape flowing behind me. I walked down the hall to my room. I reached the door and felt the heat coming from inside. I opened it and saw her—naked, oily, and shaking on the bed. My eyes turned a burning red. I was done with war. Now, it was time for her.
