The Actor's Contract

One city. Two families. Eight broken boys. Eight stories of love. Sixteen different fates. All linked to the same destiny. And no matter what – they will always stand together. They say that every story has a beginning. Maybe the beginning might be fake … but destiny is always real. I’m Enrique Blackburn. A San Francisco boy. The type that’s rich and famous – an actor, a model, a playboy. But I’m hiding behind walls. I’m scarred by my past. Maybe I act like a robot to keep myself from getting hurt. Maybe I believe I don’t have a heart. Maybe I don’t deserve to be loved. Maybe I like my fake life. Then I found her. She’s perfection. Maybe it’s ‘cause I got a little bit older. Maybe it’s all I’ve been through. Maybe it’s how I see myself with her. She brings out the real me. She sees through the act. Now the walls I’ve been building are starting to crumble. She’s stealing the things I know. Maybe robots do have hearts. Maybe real life is better than the movies. To have her I signed a contract. To keep her I fought like a lion. To love her I broke down the walls. They say that every story must end. Maybe you’ll get killed by the fire of desire. Maybe you’ll find your direction. Me? I got to say the words.
