Chapter 315: Never Seen Such a Shameless Person

Chapter 315: Never Seen Such a Shameless Person

Everyone had agreed to meet at 10 AM today at the Brown Group's CEO office.

Amelia and York arrived at the Brown Group at 9:40 AM.

Over the past few days, both Amelia and Isabella had been submitting materials to the people sent by Finn and Cleo.

At 10 PM, Amelia submitted the final materials.

Because a couple days ago, the Jenkins Group launched another new product that she was heavily involved in.

Same with Isabella, she finally completed those orders William got for her, and submitted her final materials.

Amelia looked up at Shadow City's tallest building.

The Brown Group.

Once upon a time, she had spent many days and nights here, many years, the best time of her life was spent in this place.

From 10 PM until now, Finn's people had been working through the night to calculate everything.

They should have the results by now.

Amelia hoped she would win.

Although, William had promised her that even when she loses, he would return the Martinez family's things to her, she still preferred the feeling of having control in her own hands.

Even though the Brown family was acting as judge in this competition.

York, who was beside her, held her hand. The warmth caused her to look at him.

"I'll go up with you," York said.

Previously when he visits, he would wait downstairs, but that was because their relationship hadn't gotten to a certain stage yet, there were things to avoid. Now, he wanted to be with her.

He couldn't let her face those people who stood against her all by herself.

"Okay," Amelia said softly.

On the other side.

William had already arrived at the top floor and was sitting in his wheelchair, looking out through the huge floor-to-ceiling window.

His injuries hadn't fully healed, but he could still attend in a wheelchair.

Isabella was beside him.

These past few days, Isabella had learned her lesson.

She was being "treated."

Now she would get scared just seeing Rhys, or even just hearing his footsteps.

She hadn't been able to stir up public opinion online these days because she couldn't get her phone.

All because of the "treatment."

Only just now had she gotten her phone back, and she wouldn't dare act recklessly.

Clouds moved quickly across the sky as time passed second by second.

At 9:55AM, the CEO office door was pushed open, and Finn and Cleo walked in with their people.

By 9:58 AM, someone knocked on the CEO's office door.

William turned around and looked at the door being opened by Rhys.

Amelia and York walked in, with assistant Sable beside them.

Amelia didn't look at him, but greeted Finn and Cleo instead.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Amelia took out the original agreement.

"I brought the agreement," Amelia said, looking at Finn.

Finn sighed and looked at Amelia with mixed emotions.

"Amelia, you know, I, Finn, have only ever recognized you as my granddaughter-in-law," Finn said, then glanced at York standing nearby.

Amelia lowered her eyes slightly, showing no emotion on her face.

"Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Brown," Amelia's voice was light and polite. "I hope we can still have normal business cooperation in the future. Let's keep things professional."

Not a single hurtful word, yet utterly heartless and decisive, drawing clear boundaries with no room for turning back.

Everyone present understood what she meant.

Finn's voice was aged, but in the end, he still nodded.

"Alright," Finn said.

William looked at Amelia's profile, his eyes slightly red.

Isabella beside him wanted to say something, but seeing Rhys standing there, she shrank back.

Time slowly passed, and everyone seemed frozen in place.

Complete silence.

Only the clouds outside the window kept moving rapidly.

"Let's announce the results," Amelia finally spoke.

Finn said nothing, just waved his hand for someone else to speak.

Someone immediately stepped forward and turned on the projector.

"Based on the materials we received, the data is as follows..."

The person displayed page after page, laying out the verified data from both sides.

"...And our final result is."

The person showed the final data and said: "Amelia's side wins."

After finishing, the person bowed deeply and returned to the back of the group.

Amelia saw this data and felt reassured.

"Do either of you have any objections?" Finn asked in his aged voice.

"No," Amelia said.

"I do!" Isabella spoke up.

Isabella couldn't care about anything else now. How could she possibly lose?

She had chosen to endure recently, partly to wait for this contract result.

As long as she won, the contract would bind them, and she could achieve her goal.

But she lost.

Isabella kept flipping through the documents in front of her, comparing and saying: "I think Amelia's data is false."

"Isabella, the data you and I submitted was properly recorded and has already been verified," Amelia's voice was steady. "If you want to challenge it, you need to provide evidence."

Amelia didn't even glance at Isabella.

She just calmly stated these facts.

Isabella threw the documents aside and sneered. "Isn't it obvious? What evidence is needed? Your stuff has costs, while my costs are extremely low. How could I possibly lose?"

Sable couldn't take it anymore.

"Did you even look at the materials?" Sable said indignantly. "Everything is written clearly. You're talking nonsense with your eyes wide open."

Isabella didn't care. She was going to be unreasonable.

She just had to win!

Isabella opened her mouth to say something else, but this time Finn spoke up.

"Enough," Finn glared at Isabella. "Isabella, your so-called low costs, that's because you don't count what you got from William as costs at all!"

Isabella still wasn't convinced.

She said. "I demand a recalculation."

Finn was so angry at what Isabella said that he laughed.

During this time, he knew all about Isabella's various actions.

All the people doing the statistics and verification were his trusted subordinates.

Amelia won fair and square.

And Isabella was still being unreasonable.

Did she think he was too old!

"Fine, we can recalculate," Finn said coldly. "I just remembered we haven't added in the losses from cleaning up your short drama mess. Let's include that this time too."

"That won't work!" Isabella panicked.

They had lost quite a bit back then, emergency removal from schedules, arranging refunds, compensating partners, etc. That could turn her profits into negative numbers.

"William did that on his own initiative, I didn't ask for it, it has nothing to do with me, it can't be counted!" Isabella said anxiously.

Yes, that's right. When she was exposed for plagiarism, William had her confined and then handled the aftermath himself. It had nothing to do with her!

"Are you serious?" Sable couldn't help but speak up. "I've never seen anyone so shameless."
