Chapter 213 Live Broadcast Connection
On the left is Amelia's screen, on the right is Isabella's.
Right now, Amelia has already walked ahead, leading the group of people selected for this experience into that golden river.
These people were all picked by the Jenkins Group - some were reporters, some were potential buyers, and others were just there to look around. About 20 people in total.
As soon as they stepped into the flower field, Amelia said to everyone: "This is the starting point. You can leave some unimportant things on the storage racks nearby." As she spoke, Amelia showed everyone the baskets surrounded by sunflowers.
There were many baskets available for people to use.
Everyone put down some things, then followed Amelia further in.
Amelia led them into the world of flowers. The beginning part was outdoors, with sunlight falling on the sunflowers, making them look full of life.
The golden river beneath their feet kept flowing, and as they stepped on each spot, it would create just the right amount of "ripples."
Under the sunlight, golden reflections would occasionally appear among the sunflower field, catching everyone's attention.
Later, someone with sharp eyes noticed they were golden picture frames and photo frames.
"What's that?" someone immediately asked.
Amelia looked at her assistant, who immediately walked over to the person asking.
"Ma'am, let me take you there."
As they walked over, the flowers automatically parted, revealing a golden photo frame with corresponding content inside, with a date marked below.
"This is... a street scene from 1935."
"It's not just street scenes!"
"Besides street scenes, there are other images too, all old photos with strong characteristics of that era!"
"Look at this one - people were already wearing wedding dresses in 1935!"
As the camera panned by, the sunlight, the golden sunflower field, and these old photos seemed to transport people to another world from many years ago.
And in this wedding photo, the bride was holding a bouquet of sunflowers.
As that person looked through them, she didn't notice that beyond these frames, the real secret behind the reflections was hidden.
Gemstones - various yellow gemstones.
When she reached the last wedding photo, a hand reached over from beside her.
The owner of the hand picked a yellow flower that looked like it was made of gemstone material from nearby and handed it to the lady.
It was Amelia.
She smiled as she handed the everlasting flower to the lady, next to the happy smiling face of the woman in the 1935 wedding photo.
Meanwhile, in the other camera feed of the livestream, Isabella's assistant pointed the camera at Isabella.
In a brief flash of the camera, the screen seemed to freeze for a moment.
When Amelia's smiling face appeared on the left, Isabella's livestream screen happened to freeze on Amelia and William's wedding photo.
Just a brief freeze, and the next moment, Isabella appeared on camera.
Incredibly ironic.
"Today's flower arrangement is from the Artist Series," Isabella said with a weak smile in the livestream, then selected sunflowers from the various flowers.
After a few cuts, in just a moment, a simple but beautiful bouquet was arranged.
She held the vase and had her assistant follow. Though the camera was centered on Isabella and her flowers, it showed the villa's layout from all angles.
They had arranged the flowers in the semi-open kitchen area, so now, following the camera, they walked step by step from the kitchen, through the dining room, slowly to the living room.
Then she turned and walked to the huge wedding photo of Amelia and William nearby.
She stood under the frame like that and placed the sunflower bouquet beneath it.
"I think it looks great here. What do you viewers think?"
Though she looked weak and pitiful, the provocative tone in her words was obvious.
Online discussions heated up again.
"Isabella's really got some nerve! She completely doesn't take Amelia seriously!"
"Where's Amelia? Does Amelia know? Quick, quick, quick, whoever's at the scene, connect with Amelia now!"
"Isabella, Amelia's also livestreaming, connect with Amelia right now, do you dare!"
In Isabella's livestream, her assistant was reading out selected comments.
Including ones asking Isabella to connect.
She smiled at the camera, pale as always.
"Since I dared to come today, I dare to connect. I'm just worried it might not be good for Amelia, but since everyone's asking..."
Following her assistant's instructions, she found Amelia's livestream and initiated a connection.
After connecting, she still seemed hesitant, saying: "Would this be bad?"
On the other side, Amelia was still introducing things to everyone.
"There's a printer here. Everyone can print out the photos they've chosen. The Jenkins Group will collect these photos and mail them back to you after five years."
Amelia pointed to the frames nearby - some standing in the flower field, others with a "time mailbox" for collection.
Just then, Isabella's connection request came through.
Comments in the livestream kept refreshing—
"Answer it, Amelia, do you dare? Isabella dared to request a connection, don't you dare answer!"
"Answer, answer!"
Since this was on the street, some busybodies had already gone up to the buildings and were now shouting at Amelia from the hallway.
"Answer it, Amelia, don't chicken out!"
Amelia smiled and reached out to tap the accept button.
The next moment, she saw Isabella standing in front of her and William's wedding photo, greeting her.
"Amelia." Isabella's eyes were full of mockery, but she looked weak and ingratiating. She seemed to be asking for approval: "What do you think of my flower arrangement? Is the placement good? Do you like it?"
When everyone was waiting to see Amelia's face change, she smiled instead.
"I think it's great," Amelia said. "Very fitting."
Amelia looked off-camera and waved to someone who was ready.
"I also have a surprise for everyone," Amelia said with a smile.
Soon, an assistant brought over a huge frame.
The frame was still covered with cloth, making people curious about what was inside.
When the camera focused on this frame, Amelia pulled off the cloth covering it.
Inside was exactly that wedding photo.
"Before coming in, I heard that Ms. Taylor, you really like this photo of William and me, so I specially had it printed out," Amelia said with a smile.
People in the buildings on both sides let out screams.
Everyone was incredibly excited.
Sunlight fell on Amelia's face.
"I've noticed that everyone really cares about things between me and my ex-husband, and insists that I talk about these things. So, I'll satisfy everyone."
With that, Amelia picked up the huge frame and walked into the sunflowers.
She took a sunflower pot, then directly inserted the frame at an angle into the pot.
Golden sunlight fell on Amelia's smiling face as she and the wedding photo were surrounded by sunflowers together.
"Do you like it?" Amelia looked at the camera nearby, throwing Isabella's question right back at her.
