Chapter Thirty Seven - You're A Demon So Leave My Daughter Alone

"So, thank goodness moon goddess found you." Charles says, rubbing his palms together, sitting on the sofa with Martin.

"We thank God that's so." Martin adds.

"Shall we tell them our plans?" Kimberly shrugs, smiling at Kellie and George.

"Before then…" George clears his throat. "I have something to confess to you about."

"Ugh." Kimberly remarks. "What's that? Anything, son."

"Okay. Yesterday that we came here, Festus followed us since he has nowhere else to go." George splutters.

"Festus?" Martin says while Festus remains locked in the room and at the doorstep, listening carefully to them.

"You shouldn't have let him in. He might have the demon spirit in him." Charles tells George.

"But you are very funny." Kellie tells Charles.

"How? Am I shooting comedies here?!" Charles slightly yells in return.

"No."

"She means it ironically." Martin tells Charles. "She's being sarcastic."

"If I understand well, you have made an alliance with Festus? 'cause the last time I checked, you were not in peace with each other."

"Exactly." Kellie replies. "We shouldn't be fighting or grudging against each other, should we?"

"After all, I am not one of his Betas. Selling his pack to an elf to pay up his debt is none of our business as it doesn't affect us in any way."

"Was he the one that led those rogues here?" Martin asks.

"What rogues, sir?" George replies.

"The rogues that had to help me clean the fields and clear the litters into the trash can. They claimed to have been coming from a long distance. Whatcha think?"

"Well, forget about that, sir." George replies. "We are discussing Festus and he didn't come with the rogues, he's now a changed person."

"Hmm…" Kimberly hums.

"After all, selling his pack for $50000 was to save me. He ordered the elves to save me from the wasteland, he's being considerate."

"No." Charles replies. "He wanted you aa his mate. He wouldn't do that for just one ordinary person."

"Why would he, after all?" Kellie defends. "Can you sell this pack to save one of your warriors, Alpha Martin?"

No response.

"So, he's right inside this house?!" Kimberly exhales.

"Yes. Absolutely nothing to worry about."

Festus smirks at Kellie and George defending him. He might have gone downstairs to appear to George and Kellie only but Kellie doesn't know how to use that shared power, she might scream and call his name so he stays at the doorstep, expecting a favourable outcome from the discussion.

"I smell rats." Charles says.

"You should smell pigs too." Kellie shrugs.

"Don't be rude, Kellie. He's your father." Kimberly tells her.

"I know." She shrugs. "But sometimes, he acts like a dunce. A nobody. Damn."

"What if he's a demon?" Martin asks after remaining silent for a while.

"What would happen?" Kellie replies.

"I should be asking you both that." Martin retorts.

"Nothing bad would happen. After all, a demon saved you from the vampires the other day."

"Hold on." Charles says. "A demon? You saved us that day, remember?" He squints his eyes as Martin nods and approves his statement.

George views that as a slip of tongue. Hence, he remains silent for a minute and sighs as he speaks up the other minute.

"You're a demon, George." Kimberly chuckles. "How come?"

"Should it be funny?" Martin rolls his eyes at Kimberly. "He has been infected."

"Oh my! Jeez!" Charles puts his hands on his head, and sighs.

"You are a demon." Martin tells George again, kind of getting on his nerves.

"What if I am?" George asks. "What would happen?"

They don't say anything for few minutes. Then, Charles breaks the silence.

"Then you leave my daughter alone. We will call unto the moon goddess to unmate you." Charles says.

"Dad!!" Kellie shrieks. "Stop it, from discussion to Festus to George! He's a loyal mate. You talk about break up just like that?!"

"Kellie, come to think of it…" Kimberly says. "Demons are associated with the wasteland. They are the gods of the wasteland."

"Okay. Why not think George as nice as he is should now be able to save me freely when we get into the wasteland by mistake?" Kellie asks

"Do you know if he didn't intend to have the demon power but was forced on him?" She adds.

"We will think about that, ask moon goddess what to do and get back to you." Martin replies.

Charles sighs deeply as Kimberly fixes her gazes at George in pity, wishing he ain't a demon.

After few minutes, Kimberly speaks up. "Or is there anyway we can remove the power from him?"

"Never!" George yells.

"Then, leave my daughter." Charles says.

"After everything, that's what you can say. Good." George says, fumes, and rises to his feet.

"You know it's rude to walk out on an Alpha of a pack?" Martin tells him.

"I know. I'm not walking out. I'm walking in." He says, and moves upstairs. He creaks Festus' door open and gets in. He mistakenly hits Festus' head since he's standing at the corner. Festus spits on his forehead without waiting for apology or do apologize. George who is fuming takes him to the bed and beats him up thoroughly.

SITTING ROOM

"But, seriously, mum!" Kellie shrieks. "Seriously, you sent my mate indoors with your trash statements!"

"Stop yelling like an animal, Kellie." Martin replies.

"Stop sounding like fools." Kellie replies him, directing the answer to all of them though. She moves near them, and spits on each of their foreheads.

"Fuck you all!!" Then, she stands to her feet, and moves away.

Charles still wiping the saliva away and staring at amazed Martin and Kimberly, he rises to his feet too and follows her.

"It's the audacity for me!" He yells and as he's about to grab her, she turns herself to be thinner and she dodges him.

"You've really got skills." He comments as Kellie heads downstairs again.

"Mum, Alpha, what if I'm a demon as well?

"Then, we would ban you from this kingdom." Charles replies from behind.

"I never talked to you, Charles." She replies and Charles hits the air as she dodges it again.

"You repeat that, I call the cops." Kellie tells her father, anger boiling within her.

"Want proofs that I'm connected to George and automatically am a demon?" She smirks.

Kimberly walks up to her after standing up, and she walks her back to the sofa.

"Sit, Kellie." She tells her and they both sit. Charles walks over to them but sits at the chair opposite them.

"You should not be venting or vexing like you are doing." Kimberly tells her, softly.

"Is that all you have to say, mum??" She asks in a rather rough tone.

"Kellie Kellie." Martin calls her. "I understand you. We will think about it."

"I'm sorry, Kellie." Charles approaches them, sits on the sofa again, and apologizes.

"Nothing much." Kellie replies, blankly.

"We have some goodnews for you." Martin says.

"Goodnews without my mate is bad news." She retorts.

Kimberly claps her palms together, and sniggers. "Wow! Moon goddess is really strong! See how the bond is tight!"

"You're saying?" She smirks.

"Well, we are taking you to…" Martin stutters but Kellie cuts in.

"Without my mate, your goodnews is bad news. And no thank you, as I wouldn't want to hear any bad news now."

Martin breathes out, and signals to Charles.

"George, please come down here!!" Kimberly yells and soon, he comes running downstairs, much to the dismay of Kimberly and Charles and Martin but less to Kellie as George has already mind linked her that he won a large sum of money through something he quickly applied for, on a laptop he saw randomly in the room while beating Festus up.

"Just give me few minutes and I'll be there with you." He had said.

"Without them needing you?" Kellie had replied and the mind link disconnected.

"George, Kellie doesn't want to hear the good news we have for her concerning her academic life, without you!" Charles yells in amazement.

"Sure." George replies, flatly. "We love each other and not even you can stop us."

"We apologize." He says.

"Keep your apology within you. Whatcha need me for?" He clicks his tongue.

Kellie walks up to him, and they both stand.

"Can you please sit and let's tell you?"

"No!" Kellie objects. "We are good in this posture."

"Okay. We are flying you, Kellie to France while we are flying you, George to Sweden to complete your education." Martin says and smiles, expecting them to smile as well but no.

"Why?" George asks. "Why do you want to fly us? Even if you're to, why differently? So you can subtly separate me from my mate."

"No. No. No." Charles says, the smiles on his lips waning.

"You know what? Whatever happens, I remain with my mate. Understood?" George tells them.

"Understood." They chorus, since they don't have an option.

"We will fly you both to France then."

"No." Kellie says. "I'm not interested in high schools anymore."

Kimberly chuckles and Charles laughs them to scorn as Martin speaks.

"Not high school." He says. "It's college."

"Then, let's prepare to go. That sounds nice. Kellie?" George replies, softly.

"Yes." Kellie says and nods. ''It sounds nice but it doesn't seem feasible."

"What!"
