LIKE A GOOD BOY

LIKE A GOOD BOY

The house was quiet that afternoon, too quiet as usual, pale and empty along with the cream walls and glass doors. Pax sat with a glass of wine, staring into space, the air was heavy with unspoken things.

“Are you okay?” Clara asked softly.

She stood near the edge of the couch where Pax sat, his fingers knotted together, his eyes on the floor.

The room smelled faintly of vintage richness and generational wealth, along with Cage’s cologne, his was the kind that clung to everything it touched.

Pax sighed, a long, weary sound that seemed to scrape against his chest. “I don’t know, Clara,” he said quietly. “I think Cage has been cheating on me.”

Clara froze for a heartbeat. This was a line of conversation she wasn’t suppose to venture close to.

Her eyes darted toward the closed door of the adjoining room, Cage’s private office, before returning to Pax. “I’m sure he’s just been busy with work,” she said, her voice a gentle attempt at reason. “You know how he gets when he’s deep into a project. I can assure you it’s just work, we’ve been pretty occupied after the party.”

But Pax shook his head. His jaw tightened, and there was something raw in his expression, a mix of confusion, hurt, and disbelief. “No. It’s not just work. You should’ve seen him the other night, the way he was staring at him...” he trailed off, sadly smoothing his crease less pants.

“Who?”

“There was this guy at the store, some random man I bumped into and Cage just…” Pax exhaled sharply, rubbing the back of his neck. “He lost it. The way he looked at him, like they shared this… like they both knew something I wasn’t aware of. They don’t look like exes and Cage said he didn’t know him, but it was obvious he was lying.”

Clara frowned. “What did he look like — the man?”

Her question was too quick and too sharp, but Pax didn’t notice at first, “He is really gorgeous” he chuckled dryly “Maybe this is the reason Cage is so fixated on him.”

Clara leaned in slightly, her tone threaded with urgency. “This man — did he have dark hair? a piercing, maybe?”

Pax blinked. “Uh… yeah. I think… Why?”

Before Clara could press further, the door to the Cage’s guest bedroom where Pax was staying, creaked open.

Talk about the devil and he would be listening.

Cage stepped out slowly, his tall frame, huge and his expression looked like he had been triggered, his presence immediately swallowed the room. The afternoon light was all on him, showing his elegant, dangerous, and unreadable features.

The air shifted as soon as he breathed.

“Talking about me, are we?” His voice was smooth but carried the kind of calm that always promised a storm.

Clara straightened instantly, the color draining from her face. “Sir… I—”

“Save it.” Cage’s tone snapped. He crossed the room in deliberate strides, his eyes never leaving her. “Shouldn’t you be working, Clara? Or do you make it a habit to pry into my life when you’re bored?”

“Sir, I wasn’t—”

He cut her off with a raised hand. “Don’t.” His eyes glinted. “You’re an assistant, not a confidante. Don’t mistake proximity for privilege.”

Clara’s pursed her lips and nodded formally. Pax stood, instinctively moving to her defense, but Cage turned to him before he could speak. His expression hardened. “You stay the fuck out of this.”

“Cage, she didn’t mean any harm,” Pax said quietly. “She was just…”

“I just fucking told you stay out of it.” Cage’s voice deepened, quiet but lethal. Then, turning back to Clara, he added coldly, “You have two options: get back to work and mind your business or you will be thrown out. Permanently.”

“Sir, I’m so sorry…”

“Don’t test me, Clara.” The words fell like ice and silenced her.

For a moment, the silence was unbearable.

Then, Cage sighed and groaned almost theatrically “What is it with all of you and these sentimental bullshit” he muttered and looked at Pax with something darker and evil in his eyes. “You really can’t help yourself, can you?”

“What are you talking about?” Pax asked, confusion slipping into fear.

“You defend everyone sweetly and try to be a saint,” Cage said. “You think that makes you noble?” He stepped closer until Pax could smell his cologne — heavy, intoxicating, and invasive like a predator. “You are below me, Pax. Nothing should ever give you the right to question me. Understand?”

Pax’s throat constricted with hurt and shame. He nodded faintly, eyes downcast.

Behind him, Clara stood frozen, her face pale, and her hands clenched. She looked at Pax with a kind of helpless pity that only made him shrink further, and that fueled her new found hate for her boss.

She wondered why he would treat a man like Pax who loved him dearly like shit.

Cage noticed her pity for the younger man and he turned sharply. “Hey, you!” he snapped his fingers in Clara’s direction. “What the fuck are you looking at?”

“Nothing,” she cleared her throat and straightened.

“Good. Then put a call across to Virginia Sinclair. I need to speak with her immediately.”

“Of course,” she said, reaching for her tablet and about to leave the room. But she hesitated, her gaze flicking once more to Pax — just long enough to show genuine concern.

Cage saw it and his patience snapped.

“What are you waiting for? Chop chop, bitch!” His voice boomed across the room, cracking through the stillness. Clara jumped and quickly turned away, nearly tripping over herself as she hurried out of the room, the door swinging shut behind them with a muted click.

Cage exhaled through his nose and turned back to Pax, who hadn’t moved. His chest rose and fell, quiet but unsteady.

“Get the fuck up,” Cage said finally.

Pax looked up, startled. “Cage, please…”

“Up.” His tone softened, but it wasn’t kindness — it was the kind of softness that made the air pulse with danger.

He grabbed Pax’s wrist and yanked him up. His touch was very firm, hauntingly possessive, and  almost cruel. “You’re coming with me.”

He led Pax toward the bed,
“You’re hurting me Cage.” PAC tries to plead and pry Cage’s large fingers off him but it was to no avail.

“I intend to hurt you more lovingly soon darling” Cage ground out and Pax felt his eyes water with tears.

He was starting to get scared of Cage.

Cage released Pax, who stumbled slightly, catching himself as he dropped on the bed like a rag doll. Neither spoke for a long time.

Pax’s mind was spinning as they both stared at each other breathing heavily.

This was the man he loved, the man who terrified him, yet he couldn’t stop wanting even when he tried… even with the warning.

Cage loosened his tie, his gaze fixed on Pax. “When did you stop being such an obedient twink?”

His expression was unreadable, somewhere between fury and something far more dangerous. “You think I don’t notice,” he said quietly, stepping closer, “When you talk to people you shouldn’t. Telling my business to every Tom dick and Harry.”

“I wasn’t trying to—”

“Don’t lie.” Cage’s voice was low. “You always act like you’re so innocent. You always make me the villain and try to make me look stupid. But you know what you’re doing.”

Pax’s lips parted, his pulse quickening. “I don’t.”

“You do.” Cage’s hand brushed against his cheek, not roughly, but with a tension that made the gesture feel electric. “But I forgive you.”

Pax swallowed hard, the space between them suffocating. He wanted to step back, but what was was behind him was the big space of the king sized bed, and Cage’s presence pressed forward until retreat became impossible.

He had nowhere to run to.

Cage murmured, his thumb tracing the edge of Pax’s jaw. “You say you love me, but you look at me like I’m a monster.”

Pax’s eyes lifted slowly to meet his. “Because sometimes you are.” He whispered. Though his heart was beating wildly, he was somewhat glad Cage was being soft with him today.

Little did he know.

Cage’s expression didn’t change, but his eyes darkened. For a moment, Pax thought he’d strike him across the face as usual, but instead, Cage laughed softly, almost tenderly, as if the words amused him. “Maybe,” he said. “Maybe I am.”

Outside, Clara’s voice could be heard faintly through the wall, speaking to someone on the phone. They caught snippets — “Yes, Mr. Graves will call you shortly… No, he’s occupied at the moment.”

Occupied. The word felt heavy.

Cage turned toward the sound, his gaze distant for a moment. “Clara’s been asking too many questions lately,” he muttered. “Maybe she’s forgotten her place.”

“Cage,” Pax said softly, “don’t hurt her please, we were just talking.”

Cage looked at him, his mouth curling into something that wasn’t quite a smile. “You still don’t get it, do you? I don’t hurt people who stay loyal. As long as you remain my loyal puppet, you’ll be safe with me

He reached out again, cupping the back of Pax’s neck, forcing him to meet his eyes. “You should always remember that.”

Pax held his breath. The nearness was suffocating and intoxicating all at once.

“Take off your clothes”

Pax’s breathe hitched “Cage please…”

“Strip”

The command was gentle, but final and Pax obeyed. Cage started to take off his belt, he opened a box and brought out the all too familiar, now dry cleaned, jock strap and blue lingerie.

Pax knew that whenever Cage brought out those clothes, all he had to do was put them on without questions and ‘be Cash’

“Put those on”

Pax hesitated. “Cage—”

“Put them on, now.”

“No”

Cage’s fingers froze at his buttons “What the fuck did you just say?”

He walked towards the Pax menacingly and the younger man crawled into the bed, away from Cage I’m not cosplaying another man so you can fuck me”

His brows furrowed in anger “What are you even talking about?”

“When you fuck me, I want you to fuck me for me Cage” Pax said, refusing to back down. Only if he knew he had just made a grave mistake.

“Alright then” Cage’s eyes darkened with a new found hunger as he tore off his shirt hurriedly “I’ll fuck you for you” he stepped out of his trousers.

“Cage…”

But his dick was already hard and leaking precum, Cage wasted no time in jumping into the bed and going after Pax. “Come here”

He caught Pax in no time, flipped him over, spanked his smooth ass, and with spit to his asshole, Cage drove his cock in.

“Oh fuck! I love how you feel, Cash baby” Cage groaned as he fucked and dug his length into Pax.

Only for Pax to cry and try to push him away “Don’t call me that, I’m Paxton”

Cage growled angrily, slapped him angrily and pulled him back to his dick as Pax tried to run from it “stay with my dick.” He held both of Pax’s hostage behind him and continued to give him hot and dirty back shots.

“Who is Cash?” Pax moaned in tears,

“Don’t cry Cash, it will only make me mad!” Cage growled, overwhelmed with pure ecstasy.

“You’re cheating on me with him” Pax sobbed, confused at what to feel. pleasure or pain?

“Shut up!” Cage slapped him.

“Let me go” Pax fought but Cage held him tighter.

“I love it when you struggle, it make you tighter and sweeter”

He continued to fuck a fighting Pax.

“When you keep fighting me like that, you’re going to make me cum Cash” he moaned.

“I’m not Cash” Pax cried against the sheets and struggled.

With an angry groan, he grabbed Pax by his hair and yanked him backward, before clamping a strong hand on his throat. “I dare you to say that again”

He didn’t stop fucking Pax.

“Cage, please” Pax half moaned and half cried.

But Cage only grabbed his balls and pinned him to the bed with his hip and his cock in the younger man’s prostrate ring “Shut the fuck up and take my dick like a good boy, Cash”
