"Daddy... you slept in Mommy's room, right?" Vanna suddenly asked.
Luca and I both froze and looked at her. Vanna just looked at us innocently, waiting for Luca's answer.
"A-Ahm, why would you say that?" Luca asked awkwardly.
"I saw your clothes in Mommy's room. But don't worry, it's okay with me. I want a sibling."
Luca and I were stunned by what she said. I just blinked. "W-Where did you get that idea, baby?" I asked, stuttering.
"Tita Cherry said that when two people love each other and they lock themselves in a room, they'll have a baby. That's why I let you and Daddy Aiden in the room before--" I immediately covered Vanna's mouth.
Luca was obviously stunned. I didn't miss the way his forehead creased... It's my fault for not telling Vanna about Aiden, but I didn't want Vanna to be scared and worried. But maybe I'll just explain to her that Aiden wasn't a good person, which is why we broke up... that's the truth, anyway.
And why is Cherry teaching my daughter these things?!
Luca forced a smile, but I didn't miss the clenching of his jaw. "I-It's alright, baby..." Luca held the back of my waist and gently rubbed it.
Until we got home, I noticed Luca was quiet. Vanna, on the other hand, was busy playing with her friends outside.
I just bit my lower lip and peeked at Luca, who was busy working in his room. He was focused on his laptop and looked like he was catching up on the days he didn't work. I just tapped my thighs while thinking about whether I should talk to him... maybe he's busy.
"Baby... come here."
I flinched when Luca spoke. He took off his glasses and looked in my direction. He smiled at me and patted his thigh, as if telling me to sit there. I didn't waste any time and immediately went to him, then sat on his lap. Luca immediately hugged my waist.
"Luca... are you mad at me?" I asked and gently caressed his face.
Luca smiled at me and kissed my hand. "I'm not mad at you, hmm," he whispered and gently kissed my neck.
"R-Really?"
He nodded. "I mean... He's your ex-boyfriend. It's normal for you two to have been intimate before... though honestly, just imagining it makes my blood boil," he admitted.
I just sighed and kissed his lips. I don't know if my words will make him feel better... but I still want to say it. I want to be honest with him... "I would be lying if I said I didn't love Aiden... but you see, even Aiden himself knows that my love for you is different. I loved him because he was kind, I loved his facade and not the real him... but you..." I caressed his cheeks. "I love you for being you, no matter who and what you are... Even though you were a jerk back then," I chuckled. "I still love you... You said you'll become a better man for me... that's why I'll treat you better too. I want to become a better woman for you too," I muttered lovingly and kissed his cheek.
Luca smiled at me. I was stunned when I noticed tears welling up in his eyes as he stared at me. I just bit my lower lip because I feel like I'm about to cry too. I just stroked his hair while staring at his handsome face.
He gently wiped my cheek... a tear had already escaped from my eyes. I just smiled. I didn't expect to feel this happy again... My heart won't calm down from his simple touch.
"Crescent... Do you want to live with me again? You and Vanna... if you want to," he whispered while staring intently at me.
I was stunned by what he said. I couldn't answer immediately... I just looked at his face, waiting for my answer, and he seemed nervous. I just laughed and kissed his lips.
"If you ask me, I'll agree... I also want the three of us to make new memories... There are times when I can't sleep because I remember Aiden and the fear he gave me here... but I want Vanna to decide. If Vanna is okay with it, then yes, I'll agree," I said with a smile, then caressed his cheek.
Luca nodded and smiled. "Of course, I will respect our daughter's decision."
EVEN THOUGH Luca said that, I can still tell he's nervous. We decided to tell Vanna now... but I know that no matter what Vanna's decision is, Luca will respect it. I can see how much he loves our daughter.
"I WANT TO!"
We both froze at Vanna's answer. Luca obviously didn't expect Vanna to answer immediately... even I didn't expect it.
"Baby, a-are you sure? It doesn't seem like you thought about it," I just said.
"It's okay with me if we live with Daddy, because he's super rich, which means his house is big and my room will also be big. I also want a new design for my room, all pink and with lots of Barbie collections."
I just blinked... So that's the reason why she wants to. Who did this child get her genes from?
Luca just chuckled and carried our daughter. "Of course, baby. I'll give you everything you want. I'm even ready to get the stars for you," Luca said with a smile, then showered Vanna's face with kisses. My wonderful daughter was just giggling until she and Luca started playing.
I just shook my head... I don't have a good feeling about this. I'm sure this Vanna will grow up spoiled because of Luca.
"WOW! The buildings here in the city are so big, right? It's like it's not real," Vanna said in awe while looking outside.
We're on our way to Luca's mansion. When Vanna agreed, we immediately packed because the child was too excited. She said she wants to see how big Luca's house is. Luca, on the other hand, quickly called Cad and had him fix Vanna's room there. He said he wants Vanna's room to be ready before we get there.
I said goodbye to my siblings and to Ivana. They didn't object as long as they can visit us anytime. I just can't contact Cherry. Cashiel said she's probably just out and about, so I just left her a text.
"Crescent..."
I looked at Luca; his eyes were still on the road, but he took my hand and kissed the back of my palm.
I just smiled and also kissed his hand. He just bit his lower lip and was acting like a giddy teenager. I just laughed and shook my head... Is he really that head over heels for me?
After a few more hours of driving, we arrived at Luca's house. Vanna was amazed because the big gate automatically opened. She was obviously very excited.
Luca immediately got out of the car and opened the door for Vanna and me. Afterward, he got our things from the trunk. I helped him carry a bag. We didn't get all of our things yet; Luca said he'll just have someone get the rest.
He carried Vanna and held my hand. We were about to go inside, but we froze when we saw a familiar woman standing there, seemingly waiting for someone... I just swallowed and my grip on Luca's hand slightly tightened when I remembered what happened between us as if it only happened yesterday.
